Chapter 2 - School
He's My Heartthrob
Riley's POV
When they entered the school corridor it's like everything was at a standstill, everyone stops what they're doing to ogle at them.
I look around the hallway only to find girls checking their makeup and fixing their hair. The boys where looking at the gang with pure jealousy and hatred.I let out a small laugh when I saw a nerd wipe away some drool
Shit
The tall handsome unknown one from the gang looked at me, and wait..smiled? Why the heck am I blushing?
But it seemed like he was hesitant on what he had done next. Within seconds he sprints towards god knows where. And shortly his friends followed. But damn his smiled was hypnotic
"Psst the one who ran off his name is Wade, I can't believe he's back." So that's his name. What's with me and blushing aye? I don't even know the dude. Toughen up Riley you're a goddamn street fighter you don't blush for such petty things.
"Riley, Ry, Rile boo, YOU DAMN WITCH!" Screamed Jayden
"What the heck jay what is wrong with you" I muttered annoyed
"You were daydreaming Ry and anyway Wade was so checking you out." he winked
"Shut up, let's just get our schedules and get to class." We got our schedules and went our separate ways. Jay and I had 3 subjects together. How will I survive without him?
*cue overdramatic sigh*
I arrive at my first class for the year. Business studies my favorite. I made my way to the back of the class and took a seat. There were 2 seats unoccupied on either side of me. Throughout the lesson I doodled in my notebook, I wasn't the least bit interested in using my brain today. The first few lessons went by pretty fast and soon it was lunch. I made my way to the cafeteria and seated myself opposite of Jay.
"Hey love how was classes today." I genuinely asked
Like dog crap it was soo boring without you." "Aww"I said while pinching his cheeks. Jay held me by my shoulders and shook me repeatedly
"Guess what hun!" He exclaimed with wide opened eyes
"Oh my god did you like break up with your boyfriend or something" I asked in an annoyingly high pitched voice. We burst out laughing.
"No you dummy, you and Wade are matching see." I turned around and looked at him. Jay's right we are matching. We're both using black jeans, red shirts and a black leather jacket.
"Aww you two are totally goals." He sighed before continuing.
"I wish I could date him I mean he is sweet, funny, possessive and sexy me likey." I burst out laughing.
"On a serious note, do you have a fight tonight?" he asked while munching on an apple.
"Nope Scraggy (my manager) will contact me when I do.
"Oh alright." After lunch jay and I returned to our classes and before you know it the day was over.
"Jay do I need to drop you off?"
"Yass babe, let's go," he replied enthusiastically
"Hop in bish, let's go." "Oouuu that's my jam." We yelled out
No Place by the Backstreet Boys ,blasted through my speakers
I've been to Paris, made my way down to Rome
Seen the sun setting on the beach in Mexico
But I could care less, 'cause I was all alone
And there ain't no way to touch your body over the phone
I've been all around the world,
done all there is to do
But you'll always be the home I wanna come home to
You're a wild night with a hell of a view
There ain't no place, ain't no place like you
There ain't no place, ain't no place like you
You're my daybreak,
you're my California sun
You're my Memphis, New York, New Orleans all rolled into one
In the city, the country, the mountains or sea
Wherever you are, baby, that's where I wanna be
I've been all around the world,
done all there is to do
But you'll always be the home I wanna come home to
You're a wild night with a hell of a view
There ain't no place, ain't no place like you
There ain't no place, ain't no place like you, no
There ain't no place (no place, no place)
Ooh, yeah, ain't no place
Wherever you are, baby, that's where I wanna be
I've been all around the world, done all there is to do
But you'll always be the home I wanna come home to
You're a wild night with a hell of a view
There ain't no place, ain't no place like you
There ain't no place, ain't no place like you
Said there ain't no place, ain't no place like you, yeah
There ain't no place (no place, no place)
No place
There ain't no place like
No place like you
No place, no place, no place, no place
There ain't no place, no place like you
"Bye Jay see you tomorrow!" "Adios amigo."
I drove passed the all too familiar roads to get home. I live in a rich neighbourhood so wherever you look there are mansions, and all kinds of sport car's. I drove up towards the main gates revving my car in the process but before my butler could scold me I sped off.
"Miss Riley didn't I tell you before to not make that awful sound with your car."
"First of all gramps, I told you to not be formal when you address me. And I enjoy revving my engine for it is fun to see your reaction when you're about to lecture me. And it just sounds amazing." I laughed while gramps shook his head and smiled slightly.
"Ry!" I heard someone call out.
It was my gardener signalling me to come over. I jogged towards him
"Hello uncle Johnny, do you need something."
"Actually, sweety I just called to inform you that the devil's spawn is here."
*sighing* "Thanks for telling me Johnny."
Johnny is our gardener he is 51 years old, he treats me like his daughter, Johnny knows how much I hate Fred and how he ill treats me. "You're welcome dear."
I made my way inside and dropped my bag on the sofa.
"Why is life so horrible?" "Because you were born." Replied a cold and annoyed voice.
Don't get me wrong I am thee best street fighter around here but I don't have the guts to stand up for myself when it comes to Fred.
"That's a bit harsh." I muttered
"Well I was actually being nice." He grinned sadistically
"Alright I'm just going to go." Before he could reply I sprinted upstairs towards my room. That night I didn't leave my room, I hadn't realised that what Fred said to me affected me so much until I felt something salty run down my cheeks and onto my lips. I heard the front door close meaning my mum got home. She didn't even bother checking on me she's more concerned about him.
Would this torture ever stop? The only time I leave my room is to get food and to go to school. With all the money I get from streefighting I save it and buy my own things. I don't ask my mom for a peny. In a way it's a good thing I learnt how to be independent at the young age of 14.
FLASHBACK- 3 YEARS AGO
On my 14th birthday I sneaked out of my window and went to the gym near my house, I went to the same boxing bag my dad would use and I punched it with all the strength I could muster.
And I remember I slid down the wall and cried. A man had approached me apparently he was watching me and offered to teach me how to fight. He is the owner of the gym (Scraggy).
"Hi sweety are you alright, this is my gym my name is Scraggy.I was watching you punch that bag and I can tell with my training you'd become a good street fighter." I had wiped my eyes before saying
"Hi my name is Riley, thank you for your offer but I only come here to take out my anger on this beaten up bag."
"Riley huh, wait you're Bradey's daughter? Aww sweety you can be like me I do it to release my anger."
I thought about what he said and I accepted his offer. Scraggy then trained me every morning and night. Within a year I was known as the best fighter in the country he became my manager and like a second dad to me. He knows what I go through at home and was there to comfort me when I was about to give up. These memories were overwhelming me within seconds darkness took over.
