Chapter 81: Two Souls, One Journey-1
Happily Unmarried- Part 4 (Updating Daily) (Hinglish) (Final Part)
(The luxury farmhouse was all decked up for Vikram and Naina's wedding, and it looked straight out of a dream.
The entrance had a pretty floral arch, with marigolds and roses adding a splash of color.
The hashtag- ' Dil Le Gayi Kudi Gujarat Di!!' Was displayed in an artistic manner.)
(The lawn was set up with rows of chairs all facing the mandap in the center.
The mandap was something else- decorated with flowers and a chandelier hanging in the middle. It had this mix of grand and cozy vibes.
There was a dining area off to the side with long tables covered in white cloth, fancy gold plates, and cute flower centerpieces.
Overhead, strings of lights criss-crossed to give the whole area a warm, festive feel.
Near the corner, there was a stage for the band, ready to kick off some tunes, and a dance floor surrounded by lanterns.
The place had a warm and intimate vibe, with only close friends and family gathered to celebrate the union of Vikram and Naina.)
(Purab and Bhoomika stood near the mandap, keeping an eye on little Prakhar, who was busy running around.
Prem and Jyoti chatted with some of the guests, while Paarth hung back, teasing Kiara and Abhir about something that had them rolling their eyes but laughing anyway.
Aryan and Niyati were seated together, quietly admiring the setup. Niyati occasionally whispered something to Aryan, and he'd nod, a small smile tugging at his lips.
Gaurav looked proud as he stood with Kabir, who seemed more interested in the cricket match updates on his phone than the wedding itself.
Purab's parents sat elegantly, exchanging polite smiles with the guests, while Kiaan and Kiara wandered around, helping with last-minute arrangements and catching up with old friends.
Mihika stood with her parents, introducing them to Naina's close family.
A few of Naina's friends sat near the mandap, excitedly talking about how perfect the whole setting was.)
..
..
On the other side,
(Vikram stood with his closest friends, dressed in an elegant sherwaani.
His saafa added a regal touch, but despite his composed demeanor, his fingers lightly tapped against the edge of his bejeweled stoleâ a subtle sign of nerves.
His friends, dressed in their own stylish wedding attire, were engaged in cheerful banter, reminiscing about their college days and old adventures.
Man 1: (teasingly) Yaar, remember that Manali trip? Vikram had promised, ki ek shaandaar si road trip hogi, but aadhe raaste mein hi gaadi bandh ho gayi!!! O
(His friends bursted out into laughter.)
Vikram: (shook his head, smirking) Tum log kabhi kuch achha yaad nahi rakh sakte, haan?
(Vikram's friend, Akshat, who had been silently observing Vikram, leaned in with a mischievous grin.)
Akshat: Waise Vikram, tu itna nervous kyun lag raha hai?? Yeh teri pehli shaadi thodi na hai!!!!
(The group erupted into laughter at the joke, and even Vikram chuckled, shaking his head.)
Vikram: oye!!! Chup kar!!!! (laughs) kuch bhi bolega kya??
Akshat: dude!!!! Relax kar!!!! (clapped a hand on his shoulder.) you've got this!!!!
(Their lighthearted teasing did exactly what it was meant to... Vikram felt his shoulders relax, and a genuine smile played on his lips.
He glanced around, taking in the sight of his family and friends gathered for this important day in his life.)
..
..
Then,
(His gaze softened when it fell upon his mother. She was now at the heart of all the preparations, actively ensuring everything went perfectly.
She was dressed in a graceful saree with delicate embroidery work. She stood near the mandap, deep in discussion with the pandit ji, nodding as she coordinated the final rituals.
And then there was Tanviâhis ever-efficient sisterâpractically running around, ticking off items from a mental checklist as his mother kept handing her last-minute tasks.)
(Vikram watched this scene unfold with a deep sense of gratitude.
His heart swelled at the sight of his mother being so involved, of his family coming together, of the sheer warmth in the air.
Whatever pre-wedding jitters he had were slowly fading away.
Today, he wasn't just getting married. He was stepping into a future filled with love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories waiting to be made.
The atmosphere was relaxed yet celebratory, filled with love, laughter, and the comforting presence of those who mattered most.)
..
..
..
Cut to:
In the makeshift dressing room:
(Naina sat in the makeshift dressing room, draped in an exquisite silk saree styled like a lehenga.
Her wedding jewellery shimmered under the soft glow of the vanity lights as Diya and Meher added the final touches to her ghoongat.)
..
Just then,
(The door creaked open, and Kiaan and Kiara stepped inside. Both looked stunningâKiara in her elegant violet lehenga and Kiaan in his stylish designer kurta-pajama.
Naina's face lit up with a warm smile.)
Naina: (teasing them) Ab yaad aayi Mumma ki?? (folding her arms) Kab se tum dono ka wait kar rahi thi!
(Kiaan, however, stopped in his tracks, his eyes fixed on his mother.
His throat tightened, and he could not stop himself. He walked over to his mother.)
Kiaan: (voice think with emotion) Mumma... you look beautiful!!!! (teary) Main toh sach mein ro dunga!!!
(Kiara, never one to let a sentimental moment last, smirked)
Kiara: (declared dramatically) Even I'm in tears, mumma!!
Naina: (arched a brow) Aww... maari pyaari dikri!!! Tum bhi emotional ho rahi ho??
Kiara: (rolls her eyes) Nahi, Mumma!!! mere rone ka reason, kuch aur hi hai!!!.... apna make-up dekha hai aapne?? (She turned to Diya and Meher for confirmation.)
Kiara: Diya di... Meher di... you guys seriously think, ki Mumma is looking good?
(Diya and Meher exchanged a knowing glance before Diya shrugged.)
Diya: Kiara.... Honestly? Tumhaari Maa aur zyada kharaab lag sakti thi, agar hum yahaan nahi hote!
Meher: (nods in agreement) Sach bataaun... make-up wali toh, tumhaari Mumma ka satyanaash karne wali thi!!! first of all... usne wrong shade ka foundation lagaya, keh rahi thiâ 'Bride hai, toh fair dikhna chahiye!'
Kiara: (eyes widened in horror) Oh God! Is she crazy? Mumma ka face dekho! (She examined Naina critically, and then gasps) Aur yeh highlighter?? Have you even seen this??? (huffs) Itna zyada laga diya hai, ki agar light bhi chali gayi.... toh bhi Mumma ke cheekbones glow karte rahenge!!!!
(Kiara was in shock)
Kiara: And the blush!!! She didn't even blend it properly!!!! Yeh toh aise lag raha hai, jaise pre-school ke annual function ke liye, koi bacha taiyaar ho raha ho!!!
(She placed her hands on the hips and narrowed her eyes.)
Kiara: Mumma, did you even get a trial makeup before confirming the make-up artist?
Naina: (blinked, looking guilty) aisa kuch nahi kiya maine... (she admits sheepishly) Meri jo parlour waali thi, maine usse poocha ki aap makeup kar doge kya... she said yes!
Kiara: (slapped her forehead dramatically) Oh my God, Mumma!!!
(Kiaan snorted at his sister's exaggerated reaction, while Diya and Meher gave each other amusing looks)
Kiara: I told you to let me handle this!!!! But suna hi nahi aapne!
(She muttered as she grabbed a wet wipe and a makeup sponge. Her brows were furrowed in frustration as she grabbed a few other make up items.)
Kiara: (mutters) Bridal makeup is a whole separate category, Mumma! Party makeup thodi na karwa rahi thi aap!
(Naina smiled as her daughter went into full damage-control mode!!
She began dabbing at her cheekbones with the wet wipe, blending the blush, and muttering under her breath like a strict makeup artist fixing a rookie's mistakes.)
(The others watched in amusement as she meticulously toned down the excess shine.)
Kiaan: (Shakes his head) Kiru.... You do realize you're the daughter here, right?? (teases) Tum phir 'mummy ki mummy' kyun bannna chah rahi ho?
Naina: (chuckled, shaking her head) Meri beti kitni badi ho gayi hai!! (looks at her fondly) Aaj mujhe makeup tips de rahi hai!!!!
Meher: (smiles) haan toh Naina di, ek age ke baad, maa aur betiyaan friends ban jaati hain!!!!
Naina: woh toh hai!!!! (Then she looked at both of them) Waise, Tum dono bhi bahut acche lag rahe ho!!!
(Neither Kiaan nor Kiara could resist. In a heartbeat, they moved closer, wrapping their arms around their mother.
She pulled them in tightly, holding onto them as if freezing the moment in time.)
..
..
Then,
(Kiara stepped back, admiring her work with a critical eye. She was mostly satisfied, but a tiny doubt lingered. Scrunching her nose, she turned to Kiaan.
Kiara: Kiaan.... ek kaam kar do please!!! Jaake Niyati chachi ko bula laao. Waise toh Mumma is looking nice now.... But I want her to see once!!
(Before Kiaan could move, the door opened, and Niyati walked in.)
Kiara: (grinned) Arrey Chachi!!! Kaan pakdo apna!! Main abhi-abhi aapko yaad kar rahi thi! (smiles) Ek baar Mumma ko dekh lo... she's looking fine, right?
(Niyati stepped closer, inspecting Naina from head to toe. Then gave a warm smile)
Niyati: Arrey, tumhaari Mumma toh ek dum princess lag rahi hai!!!
Kiara: (let out an exaggerated sigh of relief) Phew!!! Good, confirmation mil gaya!!
(Meher chuckled to see Kiara's reaction. Then she turned to Niyati who looked a little confused).
Meher: actually, Make-up wali ne inka bekaar make up kiya tha.... par Kiara ne theek kar diya!
Niyati: (beamed at Kiara) really??? Great job, Kiru!
Kiara: (flipped her hair playfully) Training bhi toh aapse hi mili hai, Chachi!
(Niyati laughed, pulling Kiara into a quick side hug, while the rest of them chuckled at their sweet banter.)
A while later,
(Niyati pulled away from Kiara and looked at Naina. She gave her a warm smile and walked towards her)
Niyati: Naina, tu bahu sundar lage che!!
(Naina, you are looking very beautiful)
Naina: Thank you!!!!
Niyati: Chalo, Tara bhaiyo ubha che baar, tamne leva aavya che.
(Come, your brothers are waiting outside, to take you.)
Naina: (frowned slightly, confused) Mara bhaiyo?
(My brothers?)
(But as she looked around, she saw the knowing smiles on everyone's facesâDiya, Meher, Kiaan, Kiara.
And then it hit her.
Her throat tightened, and her heart swelled with a mix of emotionsâsurprise, nervousness, an overwhelming wave of nostalgia.
She hadn't expected this.
Niyati walked forward and gently placed a hand on Naina's shoulder.)
Niyati: chalo!!!
(Naina blinked rapidly, trying to steady herself. But the lump in her throat only grew heavier. Diya reached out, squeezing her hand reassuringly. Kiara, ever the drama queen, smirked.
Kiara: Mumma, please don't cry! Warna ye make-up phir se touch-up karna padega.
(Kiaan rolled his eyes at Kiara to make her quiet. Then, he turned to Naina)
Kiaan: Chalein, Mumma?
(Taking a deep breath, Naina gave them all a watery smile and nodded.
As she stood up, adjusting her saree and ghoongat, her hands trembled slightly.
She was ready.
Or maybe...
she wasn't.
But it didn't matter.
Because today,
she wasn't alone.)
