Time skip to five years later.

It has now been five years since I was reborn and I was so happy to finally be able to walk and speak properly. It was three months after my blessing when I started walking and talking... It was the biggest mistake of my life...

Not only could I walk and talk, but due to my mental age, I could also pick up the language quickly. When I showed a maid my messy sentences, she then told the head maid who told my parents who then started my education earlier than expected. It was then that I kissed my free days goodbye.

Due to my early education, I have gotten a grasp on the world I now live in: gamaria. I live in the emerald continent which is made up of two different continents: ruby and sapphire.

The ruby continent is for humans. There are three countries in the ruby continent:

Hefelia, the country where I live which is in the west.

Froslia, the country in the north.

And ecellia, the country in the east.

The sapphire continent is made up of:

Mysteria, the country for mystical and mythical beings like fairies and dragons.

Drogaria, the country of demons

And Prevelia, the land of the elves and dwarves.

Although demons have a different meaning in the Otome game, the characteristics are mainly the same. Demons are considered the strongest of all the countries and they are mainly shut off from other countries, except when trading.

I remember that something happened in the Otome game that makes Hefelia go to war against Drogoria and there was a huge battle scene between Lily and the crown prince of Drogoria. But that's in more than 10 years' time so I shouldn't be worried.

Right now, I'm escaping from the house and exploring the forbidden forest. It only has that name because many people who go into the forest never come out, but that's because they always seem to piss off the forest which forces them to retaliate. I swear, Hefelia and all its citizens are complete dumbasses.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO FORCEFULLY TAKE SOMETHING THEN EXPECT IT TO FIGHT BACK!!! I'm saying this because the stupid fools who enter the forbidden forest are looking to get rich quickly by taking some of the plants that only grow in the forest, little do they know that the forest is protected by a mythical being who later becomes Lily's familiar when she's 11.

Although I would love to have a familiar of my own, I'd hate the responsibility that comes with it, such as if I die my familiar dies and vice versa. Thanks, but no thanks, I'd rather live on my own power. The reason why I'm here in the forest in the first place is just to find the one plant that only the forest grows: manathiamus.

Ik it's a long name but it's basically a flowering herb that boosts your mana capacity when grounded and eaten. Since I didn't want to fall behind on the heroine, I decided to do some personal magic training of my own.

In the Otome game, the villainess was better at magic than the heroine, but the capture targets all helped her level up so she eventually beat the villainess at the magic exams which pissed off the villainess to the max. That's when she started bullying her. I mean, I know it's annoying to have someone just come and steal the spotlight but you don't really need to bully her...

I even took up swordsmanship and archery since I didn't want to be in a situation where my magic can't help and I'm left for dead. I climb a steep hill and look all around for the manathiamus plant, all eyes of the forest are on me. I should be okay if I don't pose a threat...

"Awooooooh!" I hear a howling in the distance, followed by a loud, screeching meow. What the hell was that? I speed over to where the noise was and see a kitty and a puppy who were both heavily wounded and on the floor.

Oh god, what should I do??? I look around for anything to help me but I couldn't find anything useful. I run over to the kitten first who was bleeding out of her stomach. Magic. Light magic can heal... So why not dark magic?

I closed my eyes and tried to imagine a thread and needle made from the shadows, stitching the kitten up. When I opened my eyes, the kitten was no longer bleeding. I did it!!! Yes! Now that's a good skill to have! It seems I can control the way the darkness moves.

Oh, wait, the puppy. I look over and examine the puppy. He has a few ribs and bones cracked and is bleeding from his head. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine the darkness making a splint and fixing the wounds. Soon, the kitten and puppy woke up and looked at me.

"Hey, be nice, I'm the one who saved you." They looked at me confusingly.

"Yes I know, it's hard to imagine a five-year-old healing you but I did! Now, normally I would ask for some sort of compensation but seeing as I just want to find my plant and leave, I'll let you guys off the hook with this lunch I made." I say as I spread my turkey sandwiches and fruit before them. I wave them goodbye as I hop to where the manathiamus plants were.

I start to grab one but I soon remember that no one ever survives by taking it from the forest... Shoot. I didn't think of that.

"Um, forest? I really need that manathiamus plant in order to save my life so... I'll trade you this cookie for it!" I shout as I lay a cookie next to the plant. Surprisingly, the cookie started to sink into the forest. I guess that means I can take it? I pick a couple of manathiamus plants and start to head back to my room.

I was exhausted with all the savings I had to do today so I put the plants in a vase, took a bath and fell into my soft bed. Today, I managed to get my hands on the manathiamus plants so tomorrow I'll grind them up.

(Three hours later)

I woke up in the middle of the night. I couldn't go to sleep for some unknown reasons even though I was exhausted a few hours ago, oh well, I'll just look up at the sky until I'm sleepy again. As I look at the moon, I see something weird. A black cat with a necklace was on the moon, perhaps I'm still sleeping...

The cat looks like the one in the forest earlier... Could it be the same cat? I looked into its moonlit eyes and whispered a name unconsciously "Luna..."

The cat looked at me and smiled, then it dropped its gaze and I looked into the garden to where the cat was also looking. A white wolf was also glaring at me, it stared at me for some reason and want looking away. Maybe it wanted me to say something?

"Astro..." I don't know why I said that. It was the only thing that came to my mind.

The wolf nodded its head as it headed back into the forest.

The cat was also gone, I'm dreaming. Yeah, that must be it. I'm going back to bed. As I slept, I couldn't help but think about the cat and the wolf. It was like I had just found a new family... Like they were a part of me now... Or it was maybe because I missed dessert and now I'm hungry;-;
