What are you doing here?!
The heroic villainess
Sylvia's POV:
I leave the office and head toward the carriage. I then say something to klaus before leaving.
"Klaus, I'm going to need a ball gown with a mask, be sure to deliver it to me in fifteen minutes."
"Yes miss," Klaus replies and bows as I leave.
"Is fifteen minutes going to be long enough?" Luna asks as she pops out from my mind.
"He's Klaus, the second-best assistant after the king's assistant, it's more than enough," I reply.
"So what are you going to do?" Astro asks. I give a half-grin as I look out the window.
"I'm going to crash a party."
The carriage stops a street away from the old bones bar. They say you can get whatever you need from there so long as you have the money. I cover my hair with a hood and enter the bar. It reeks of alcohol and depression.
I could see secret transactions and hear secret conversations. If I remember in the Otome game, the crown prince got a party invitation from a guy in this bar. He had brown hair and ruby eyes so you couldn't miss him... Aha! There he is, in the corner of the bar, having a drink.
I sit on the stool next to him, my secretive appearance catching his attention.
"What's a young girl like you doing at a place like this?" The man asks.
"I need three invitations to the grande suprele ball tonight," I say. The man laughs as he looks at me. I got a good look at his face. It was young and he had that mad hatter vibe.
"Now why would you need invitations to such a mature ball? You do know what they do there?" He says. Yeah, I know. They sell slaves and gamble. I simply place a bag of gold in front of him and repeat my sentence.
"I said I need three invitations to that ball." The man simply smiled as he fiddled with the gold, holding it to his monocled eye and to the light. He then grabbed the rest of the money and put it in his hat, while also taking out three invitations to the ball from his hat.
"Pleasure doing business with you miss mystery," the man said.
"And I, to you Mr hatter," I reply.
I could tell he still had that smug grin on his face even while I left. Mr hatter seems like such a good name for a guy like him. I could also call him monacle man but Mr hatter seems more fitting. The invitations were a black and gold paper in fancy handwriting.
"Why do you need three invitations when there's only one of you?" Astro asks as he hovers over my shoulder.
"No way are they going to allow me, an 11 year old to enter on my own. Which is why I'm going with my parents." I look at Luna and Astro.
(The invitation)
"I see where you're getting at. Fine, I will oblige. Humans get better food anyways," Luna says. I smile as I head towards my carriage.
No one's POV:
As Sylvia heads towards the carriage and leaves, she didn't realise that a certain someone saw her...
Sylvia's POV:
Just like I had ordered, a dress with accessories were in my room, ready for me. I smile as I wait two hours before getting ready for the ball. It was a masquerade like always so people didn't know who you were.
The dress was a stunning black and blue with a few gothic designs. It matches well with my accessories and shoes. I had my hair done in a simple but elegant style with a silver hair piece to match my hair. At this ball, the wealthier you looked, the more treatment you would get. Finally, I tied the mask on and looked at myself in the mirror. Perfect.

"Luna, Astro come out," I call. Luna and Astro appear and I ask them to help me escape from the room unnoticed.
"This little adventure seems a bit dangerous don't you think?" Astro says as he helps me climb down the mansion.
"But it's fun, I loved the balls my other masters took me to. They had exceptionally good food," Luna says.
"Luna, can you ride a carriage?" I ask.
"I'm the midnight cat not a chauffeur! I can just make someone drive the carriage!" Luna says.
"We'll do it then oh powerful kitty!" Astro sarcastically says.
"Perhaps I'll scratch out your eyes first!" Luna threatens.
"Come at me, fur ball!" Astro provokes.
"Both of you shut up! I'm going to be late! Luna, just make the carriage move!" I order as I climb inside the carriage.
"Humph, you're lucky, dog," Luna says as she snaps her fingers and a man with his face covered appears at the drivers seat.
"Excuse me... Aren't you going to change too?" I look at Luna and Astro.
"Oh right..." Astro says as he and Luna are enveloped in thick purple smoke and when it clears away, they've changed into completely different forms.
"While I do hate having to pretend to be married to this idiot, I love this dress," Luna says as she creates a mirror for her to look at herself.
"Trust me, the feeling's mutual. Let's just go," Astro comments as he climbs in the carriage.
It took twenty minutes for us to arrive at the destination. I immediately recognised this manor from the Otome game. It was the manor of an earl. Earl Domitus if I remember. He was a porky guy who was a total creepo. There was something else that was important but I can't remember what it is. Oh well, no matter. As the carriage stops, the mysterious driver man opens the door and we all get out.
A thin guy with a really big white wig greets us.
"Welcome to the Domitus manor, may I see your invitations." The man said. Astro hands over the invitations and we were let in. The ballroom was filled with very rich people. I could tell from the looks of their outfits. One woman was wearing pure gold around her neck.
"This is an unsightly bunch," Luna comments underneath her fan.
"You two go and try and squeeze information out of people. I'm going to go and take a look deeper than the surface," I say as we split up.
When I look around, I see a few noble kids but none of them were exactly polite. I wanted to beat some common sense into this one boy who was being rude to the maid. Dude, your ten not twenty, stop acting like you're the king.
I looked around for a few minutes but whenever I tried to explore the rest of the manor, I was stopped by guards who had an answer for my every excuse. When I wanted to go to the powder room, they already had one that was away from where I wanted to go.
Pretty soon, a green-haired man stepped up and addressed us all.
"Welcome to the grande suprele ball. If you would take your seats, we will begin the auction!"
Bingo, this was all I needed. I quickly find Astro and Luna and we find a seat that looks down on the whole auction. The first thing for sale was a jade vase. It looks like they're doing slaves last...
"Luna, Astro, cover for me," I say as I slip through the back of the ball and walk around. The hallways were decorated with golden portraits of the earl. Most of the decorations were gold, it must have cost a fortune, a fortune which a normal earl shouldn't have.
I make a turn at the hallway and immediately turns back, seeing that there were guards there. I tried to walk back but the floorboard just has to creak.
"Hey, do you hear that?" The first guard says.
"Hear what?" The second guard says.
"I thought I heard something..."
"You're dreaming, all this standing must have tired your brain out." I let out a relieved sigh.
"Hey! Stop!" Crap. The first guard decided to check the noise out! Not I'm running away with two guards on my tail. Crap crap crap. These boots aren't really good for running in! As a quick last-minute effort, I freeze the floor which causes the guards to fall. Unfortunately, this alerted more guards so now I'm running for my life. I turn at the corner and something grabs me and covers my mouth.
"Mmff!" I try to yell for Luna and Astro but then the grabber whispers something.
"Shh, you're going to alert them," that voice... I know that voice... Ace?! What the hell is he doing here? He's supposed to visit the slave auction at 14 not 11! We stay in that position for a minute before the guards run off in the other direction. Finally, Ace let's go of me and I turn around to see him in a black and red mask.
"What are you doing here Ace?!" I whisper shout.
"I could ask the same to you. What is the daughter of duke argent Scilla doing here at a slave auction?" Ace counter attacks.
"One of my people got abducted so you could say this is a rescue mission," I say as I straighten myself.
"Oh, how brave, I never expected my fiancée to have this much guts. I am also here on business to shut down this slave auction," Ace replies. I guess my actions sped up this event but I guess I'm lucky ace came or I would've been caught.
"Well, since we're both in this predicament, why not team up," I say.
"Why not my dearest fiancée, I'll agree. This is the first time you've called me by just my name," ace smiles as he extends his hand. I scowl at him and take his hand as he leads me to another hallway.
We follow this new hallway until we reach a very big wooden door.
"They're in here," I say.
"How do you know?"
"I can feel it. They're in the dark and they're scared," I reply. It's like the darkness is speaking to me.
Ace opens the door and we descend the dimly lit staircase. It smells of manure here and death. Ace lit a flame in his hand to light the way down.
When we finally meet the ground, ace uses his fire to illuminate the whole room and what I saw made my stomach churn. People were shackled in large groups, their eyes blank. Like they've given up all hope in life. There were men and children but no girls... I look around and see jack tied up to his eyes.
"Jack!" My outburst caught the attention of everyone in the cells. Jack was the only one who was tied up this tightly. As I ungag him, I sit him up and begin untying his hands and legs.
"What happened? Where's Emily?" I ask.
"That bastard took her! I tried to protect her but he got his guards to separate us! You gotta help her miss! She could be in danger!" Jack pleads.
I look at Ace who uses his fire to burn off the rope.
"I'm going to save her," I say as I get up but was stopped by ace pulling back my arm.
"You can't save her right now. We need to get these people out before they're sold off," Ace says. "Sylvia, break off the chains."
I create a snowflake in my hands, then blow it until a speck of my magic has touched all the shackles. I then expands he specks until the whole gain freezes and breaks off.
"You, you're name is Jack. I need you to sneak all these people out the back. My men are waiting for you, tell them that prince ace says to move in with the plan," Ace orders to Jack.
"You're the prince?!" Jacks exclaims.
"The prince?! The prince is coming to save us!" Soon, the prisoners were whispering it across the cells.
"Will do your highness! Just please save Emily," Jack says as he picks up four kids nearby who couldn't walk since they've been shackled too long. He then leads the rest of the slaves away out back.
"Well then your highness, shall we go on a rescue mission?" I say with a grin. Ace simply laughs as we head back upstairs.
"The earl should be in his room, which is on the third floor on the right-wing," Ace says.
"Wow, you really know this place," I comment as we both run to the third floor.
"My informants checked this place out within an hour, should we ever meet danger now, I know a few exit routes."
I whistle and say, "remind me to ask you for your informants."
"These informants are specially trained by the royal family and thus, only the Royal family may use them," Ace chuckles.
"How unfair," I sigh as we make a turn towards the right-wing.
"Of course, when you become the queen, you can use them as much as you'd like," Ace adds. I simply scoff and pick up the pace. For a prince, Ace was surprisingly fast. He was keeping up with me easily even when I was running at full speed.
We were nearly at the right-wing when something pulls at my leg. I scream as I fall on the floor, looking at the magical rope that grabbed my leg. Ace immediately stops and as soon as he does, he's attacked by a mysterious man with long black hair. The rope was also this man's doing. Ace puts up an impressive fights blocking the attacks and even laying some punches on the man. I trie to use my magic to freeze the rope but it wasn't working.
Suddenly, I hear a thud and look back to see Ace on the floor. There was a needle sticking out of his arm.
"Ace!" I scream. The man looks at me and then stabs me with another needle. Soon, the world got blurry and I black out...
I wake up tied to a pillar in a very expensive room. By expensive, I mean it was all gold. I look around and don't see Ace.
"Ahh my beauty, you're awake!" I follow the voice of the man and see a very fat man with curly white hair that looked like sausages. He had a big mole on his cheek and it looked like he had no neck.
"Who the hell are you?" I say, disgusted.
"Ahh, how could you not have heard of the greatest, most wealthiest man! I am earl Domitius!" The man says with a high pitched voice.
"You really are a beauty! I know you may be a spy but since I'm so generous, I'll let you live on the condition you become mine!" He says. I try not to gag. The man looks over fifty. Oh wait, it's coming back to me now... The earl Domitius was known for being a child predator... Lord save me...
How will Sylvia deal with mr piggy over here? You can find out next week!
