Sorry for updating so late. I was totally swamped with homework!

Sylvia's POV:

"Sylvia, these are my friends: Aiden and Mason. Boys, this is my fiancée, Sylviana de Crystal Scilla," ace said. I said hello and curtsied. Mason and Aiden bowed in return and soon, Len came over to the bunch with a glass of juice.

"What are you guys doing here in the corner?" He asked.

"Just chatting about this and that," Ace said calmly.

I and the capture targets talked for a few minutes before I heard Rin yell for Len.

"Len! There you are! Look at this ribbon I was given!" I could see Rin running to Len with her usual sunny smile until I noticed that something was off. The light was moving and when I looked up, I could see the chandelier chain breaking.

Crap! This is the death scene. Ok ok! No biggie! I've been training for this!

Ok, the chain is made of metal and metal can be moulded with a lot of heat. Ok, just think of it. Man, I feel like everything is going in slow motion. I shoot up a small flame to the chain and pressurise the flame until it's hot enough to weld the metal back together. And now I need to cool it or the chain will fall off! I concentrate on the hot metal and use some ice to cool it just enough that it won't break again. Phew! Glad that over, or so I thought...

In the corner of my eye, I could see three cloaked men muttering something under their breath. All three of them had their hand pointing at rin. One of them threw an almost invisible sharp wind attack. I quickly blocked it and sent all three of them flying out the window along with a quick blast of ice to freeze them together so I can deal with them later.

"I told you not to run!" Len scolds his sister who was unfazed by the lecture and showed him a pretty pink ribbon with golden embroidery. Then I remember my gift.

"Here's my present for you two! Here's a golden locket for you Rin and here's a pocket watch for you Len." I give the gifts to the twins, the locket and watch both have the initials of each with the letter K being carved in the middle.

"Wow Sylvia, it matches our hair!" Rin says as she tries to put it on. Len sighs again as he helps his struggling sister.

"Yes, it is very nice. Thank you for your gift," he replied while helping Rin detangle a piece of her hair and the chain.

"Excuse me, I need to use the powder room," I excuse myself and slip outside to where I yeeted the assassins. From the grumbling and grunting, I could tell they weren't happy,

"What the hell happened? did you direct your wind magic at us, you big doofus!" One assassin said.

"This wasn't me, I bet it was groger! That bonehead can't aim to save his life!" The second assassin said.

"Don't blame this on me! I didn't even finish the chant yet!" Said the third one.

They were all squirming to get free but that only made the ice stronger. This is getting boring, guess I should introduce myself. I walk out of the dark and speak out.

"You three look like you're in a pickle." I chuckle.

"Shit! There is a human here!" Assassin three said, who I guess is named Gregor. What do they mean by human... Unless... I take off Gregor's hood and see that he had purply brown skin with horns and tusks. Oh, they're ogres.

"So, what are ogres doing at a place like this?" Ogres normally hang out in swamps or the forest. It wasn't normal for them to be in the capital and especially not in a noble's area.

"Like hell we'll tell you, girl! Say, if you help us then we might not kill you," the first assassin said.

"I'm 11, not 1. And you aren't in the right position to order me around."

"Tch, stupid nobles! When our king comes, you'll be begging for mercy!" The second assassin said.

"Shut up Groyar!" The first assassin said.

"No, continue Groyar, who is this King?" I ask.

"Like hell we'd tell you about the great King!" Gregor spat.

Soon after, the assassins started choking.

"Hey what the hell are you doing!?" The assassins were foaming at the mouth and their skin turned pale.

"They killed themselves," Luna said as she appeared by my side.

"It's common for assassins to do that when they get caught," Astro finished.

"At least I got some info out of them, by the way, where do you guys disappear off to?" I ask.

"We just loiter around, taking food and napping."

"I see, I gotta go now. If I take too long, people will get suspicious. And please take care of this mess," I walk back inside and to the group who were laughing at something.

"Sorry I took too long, I got lost," I lie.

"Sylvi, guess what happened! Sir Mason was sparring with his sister lady artisia and she won!" Rin giggles. Wait, isn't his sister two years younger than him? Wow, I'd hate to spar with her. After all, mason was called the Crimson knight in the game. If he lost to his little sister, she must be a monster.

"It's not my fault, Sia is very scary! She is more rowdy than my older brother! Even father is astonished at her behaviour!" Mason defends.

"I say that is just an excuse for being beaten by a girl. I am rooting for your sister, she'd make a good knight or maybe general. General Artesia has a nice ring to it," I say.

We talked for another minute until someone body slammed Len and spills his juice on the floor. Rin yelped as she saw her brother being taken down onto the floor. "LEN!" She picked her brother off the floor and we all looked at the floor.

"Kyaa! I'm so sorry!" The assaulter was a girl with dark brown hair and eyes. She looked extremely clumsy and unlike all the other characters' cute and elegant aura, she had a cute aura that made me sick. Not trying to be rude or anything.

It's the heroine! And from what it seems, she just knocked over the poisoned glass just like in the Otome game.

"Lily! Be more careful!" Aiden scolded her as he helped her up. "Sorry Len, this is Lily. She was taken in by the church and we came here to help her grow accustomed to noble etiquette," Aiden explains.

"It's okay, there's no damage done," Len says as he rubs his head.

"Sorry about that, I seemed to trip on these heels. They're impossible to walk in!" Lily complains. It was kind of awkward at that statement since almost every girl in the room wore heels and didn't trip.

"Ah, so you're miss Lily Margaret, the light weilder," Ace says.

"Yes that's me! But who are you?" Is she serious??? Everyone knows the prince!

"Ahem, that's the crown prince, Lily," Aiden informs her quietly. Lily trips over her words as she bows lower than hell.

"I-I'm s-so s-sorry your highness, p-please forgive me!" I can't watch this... She's making a fool out of herself. I'm suffering from second hand embarrassment.

"It's no problem," Ace replies calmly. I swear, nothing seems to faze him.

"And you must be..." Lily stared at me.

"My name is Sylviana de Crystal Scilla, daughter of duke Scilla. A pleasure to meet you," see Lily, that's how you introduce yourself, take notes.

"Aren't you supposed to bow?" Excuse me? Did she... Just ask me to bow? To her? Everyone in the group looked at her with confusion.

"Lily, she is a duke's daughter and the crown prince's fiancée, she doesn't need to bow to anyone," even Aiden was shocked she didn't know about the status. What kind of rock has she been living under for her not to know about the statuses here?

"I see..." Ok, I'm not even being mean here. Someone, please give her brain cells. She is talking informally to a duke's daughter who is seven statuses above her. I'm sure that if this was in the game, Sylviana would've flipped her lid, which she did.

"Excuse me, but..." Monique stared at lily and then at me, she was trying to hint for Lily to bow to me since I'm above her. Frankly, I don't really care but it's the social etiquette so I roll with it.

"Yes, what?" Lily said. Smacks my head what do you mean what? Do you not know about this too?

"Lily, you're supposed to bow to her," poor Aiden has to fill her in on the rules here.

"It's alright Aiden, I can tell she's not familiar with the noble manners yet, there's no need," with my statement the heroine bursts into tears.

"Are you calling me stupid?" Excuse me, do you not see I'm trying to help you? It's clear you don't know what you're doing.

"I'm pretty sure my fiancée meant nothing like that, she was just trying to help you," Ace said with that unreadable smile.

"Oh prince Ace, thank you for your kindness," Lily yeeted on him and that shocked him so much that even he let his poker face slip.

"Excuse me but you shouldn't do that to prince Ace, he has a fiancée," rin says. Lily just stared at her.

"Aren't you supposed to be..." Lily looked at the chandelier and back at Rin. Did she... Know about the assassination? Was she reincarnated as well? Of course, like any cliche reincarnation thing, there has to be a reincarnated heroine.

"Supposed to be what?" Len was clearly annoyed at the lack of respect the heroine was giving to his sister. "Aiden, I know that she may have been raised in the church all her life but how can she not know how to act around nobles?" Len looked at Aiden with raised eyebrows.

"My apologies, I shall teach her some manners next time we meet. It's just that since I've moved to the magic tower, I've not seen her for long," Aiden explains, pulling Lily and dragging her to a corner.

"How rude, I'm sure even the commoners who have never seen a noble know how to talk to one," Vio comments.

"I agree, first she expects Sylvia to bow down to her even though it should be vice versa. Then she held prince Ace's arms even though he is the crown prince and has a fiancée and she even didn't show respect to Sylvia when she was obviously trying to help her. I've met commoners before and none of them is as ill-mannered as her," Niki replies.

"She's a bit scary..." Rin says as she holds Len's hands.

"You don't have to be scared of her. I'll be sure to inform father of the incompetence of the church on not teaching that girl some manners," Len says.

"This subject is boring, let's talk about something else," Mason says as he changes the topic to the Royal academy. We talked about it for another ten minutes until the room went into silence. I looked over to the whispering nobles and saw a boy with coal hair and bloodied eyes. It was the hidden target. What was he doing here? Lucas walked over to us and took rin's hand to kiss it.

"Sorry for being late, there were some unsightly people who were blocking my carriage," he says.

"Have I not told you to stay away from my sister," Len had a murderous gaze and Lucas laughed.

"How can I do that when she is my fiancée?" Excuse me? FIANCEE??? So... The reason why Hefelia and Drogoria were at war was because of rin's death since she was his fiancée!?

"Pleasure to see you again Lucas," Ace stepped forward and held out his hand. Lucas shook it before returning his focus to Rin.

"My apologies for being late Rillaine, congratulations on turning 11," Lucas says as he takes out an emerald necklace. "Here's my gift to you," Lucas says as he proceeds to put it around Rin's neck.

Holy sugar bakes! That's the necklace that Lucas had when he was remembering his lost love in the Otome game. It was a heartfelt CG and I wanted to hug him so badly, it was also the scene where I got the most favourability points as the heroine by comforting him. So his lost love was Rin...

"Oh wow, it's my birthstone! Thank you Lucas!" Rin's eyes sparkled at the necklace that laid over my own gift. Lucas also noticed the golden necklace, "what a nice necklace..."

I could tell he didn't mean that, he was clearly a bit irritated that rin was wearing someone else's gift.

"Isn't it? Sylvi gave me!" Rin says with a smile.

Lucas looked at me with a smile that made me shudder. It was like a vulture circling its prey.

"Forgive my rudeness, my name is Lucas Akron Mortise Drogoria," he bowed.

"And I am Sylviana de Crystal Scilla," I curtsy. I noticed a stain on his collar... Was it blood? He said he met trouble along the way... Did he kill them?! is he a psychopath?! There's no way I'll let innocent rin be with him! It's like a dragon to a bunny. And doesn't mortise mean death in Latin?!?!

"I have some sweets from my country for you to enjoy Rin, would you join me?" No no no!

"I'd love to!" Rin exclaims as she takes Lucas's hand and leaves before Len could object.

"I hate that guy, why does he have to be engaged to my sister?" Len grumbled.

"He has bloodstains on his clothes but there's no sign of wounds. Those bloodstains are not his," mason pointed out.

"That's no way to talk to a future in-law Len," Ace said.

"Well, I should be worried for my future sister in law," Vio states as she stands by Len. Excuse me?

"Wait, you two are engaged?" I ask.

"Not yet, the engagement will be official after tomorrow but yes, we are technically engaged," Len replies. So not only have I saved rin... But I saved the peace between hefelia and Drogoria and I saved the future engagement of Violetta and Allen. Someone better give me a medal for all my achievements, I practically saved people from war.

I spent the rest of the night stuffing myself with food and avoiding the klutzy heroine who, by the way, bumped into all the capture targets at least once this past few hours. She even had the guts to bump into Lucas who gave her a stare so scary that I'd rather be a target for arrow practice.

I have doubts about if Lily is reincarnated or not so I'm going to have to keep an eye on her for the time being, for now, I've actually avoided the major bad scenes but there are still a few that I have to deal with as I grow up. I'm also trying to process the fact that Vio and Len are engaged.

In the Otome game, there was no mention is any engagement but then again, it could have been because Len was traumatised over rin's death. This means that Len is no longer an available capture target and neither is Lucas for now.

Then again, the heroine could try and conquer them even if they have fiancées. I mean, Ace is a capture target even if he is engaged. Does this mean that the heroine is a homewrecker? Damn, Otome games are really just lies...

It turns out that apart from him being engaged to Rin, Len is actually friends with Lucas. They're on that love-hate friendship. All the capture targets actually had a blast tonight and the night ended peacefully.
