Chapter 45
The Educator
I fell as sleep in the middle of the movie and wake up the next morning. There is no one in the room. Elliot probably took Sandy out for a walk. I get up and take a quick hot shower. A couple of minutes later, I hear the bedroom door open and Sandy barks. I quickly get out and wear my clothes. Itâs a lazy Sunday morning so I just though I would wear something comfortable like his shirt and my underwear. I walk out to the bedroom and I see Sandy and Elliot. Elliot sweaty and shimmering.
âHiâ he mumbles as he pants a little âHiâ I smile back, âwhereâd you two go?â I asked and I start petting little Sandy. I was adorable, he was rubbing his head against the side of my thigh.
âWe went out for a walk and then we ran about two streets down and back three times.â Elliot tells me.
âOh cool. You want anything for breakfast?â I ask Elliot He shakes his head, âHow about brunch at Marina Bay?â he asks, âIâll just take a quick bath. Maybe we can take Sandyâ
âThat sounds good. Okay. Iâll just change into something elseâ I tell him. Elliot proceeds to the bathroom. I stand and follow Elliot but I stop at the walk-in closet. I take out a pair of black jeans and an oversized hoodie. I know itâs hot but It just feel better to not have to wear a bra. Sandy was going back and forth, in and out of the bathroom and just randomly playing.
A couple of minutes later, Elliot emerges from the bathroom. Elliot comes up behind me wearing only a towel on his lower body. With his body still wet, he places a tight hug from behind.
âElliot, youâre wet! Stop!â I tell him. He chuckles behind me. âElliot, come on! Iâm getting hungryâ I push him away lightly. He steps back and starts dressing up. I walk back to the bed room to get our phones. Elliot walks in a couple of minutes later. Elliot smells so good.
We head downstairs and when we open the door, our parents were outside waiting for us.
âOh my! Weâve been here forever! Where have you two been?â Elliotâs mother asks us.
âWhat are you guys doing here?â I ask with my eye wide open. Four parents were standing in front of us. They have food in packs.
âWe just wanted to surprise the newly wedâ my mother murmurs. She places a kiss on my check before entering.
âHow are you liking the place, Eli?â Elliotâs mother has always been so energetic. My father and Elliotâs father enter and gave us a smile.
Our mothers were placing various dishes on our dinning table. We had it by the second large window, so that there is a view. They started placing the packed meals on the table. My mom and Elliotâs mom were like talking as if they were best friends their whole life. They were talking about the gala coming this winter in New York or something like that.
