chapter 4

                        Brian took too much time to speak but later he made his mind. Then he slightly breathed and started talking to nurse Luna.He said, " Two years ago, that one incident happened and everything got changed. Everything had destroyed.                         Before that incident, Elley was absolutely fine. We were living happy life. No tension bothered us. We could find solutions for every problem. We both grew up together.                         Later I went to Canada to pursue further education and Elley was busy in handling family business. Basically, she was helping her dad to enhance their family business. Everything was fantastic.                         We were happy and living our lives peacefully but one day something incredible happened. Elley's dad Mr. Jack Fernandez- The founder of 'Fernandez Pharmaceuticals', he talked to me on call.                        While talking to me, he mentioned that he was facing some crisis in the business; but he assured me and said that he will fix it soon.                         I started worrying but at the same time I believed in him. So, I took it easily. Although, my education was almost done.                         I had received my degree also. Hence, I had been thinking to come back in California and do a job here. Therefore, I had decided to reach here, to be with dad and make him relax.                         In short, My plan was ready. I had booked a flight for a week later. Everything was set. I was happy because I knew, we will reunite once again and handle everything; but suddenly I received a phone call of Jordan uncle.                         He was the secretary of Elley's dad. On call, he told me that business is in debt and due to the large amount of anxiety and tension Elley's dad got a massive heart attack. " " What? " Nurse Luna asked. " Yes, you heard it correct. " Dr. Brian said with a heavy heart. " Oh My God! Then What happened next? " Nurse Luna expressed her condolences. " As soon as I heard the news I was panicked but I had to handle myself. So, I did. Then I came in California but before I reached here Elley's dad was passed.                        That time I was totally shattered. I was so attached to him that's why on that moment literally I was feeling like I lost my support system.                         Elley was also hurt. She was feeling guilty for not being with her father in his last moments. " Dr. Brian explained past situations briefly. " What? Did you spell correct or I heard wrong? Wasn't she with her dad? If yes then why? And most important is where was she? " Nurse Luna was surprised and she asked lots of questions in a single breath. " Actually, Elley had no idea about businesses crisis. She was attending the business conference.                         Moreover Elley's Dad had sent her to attend that business conference, which was held far from the native city. That's why she was totally unaware about those things which occurred suddenly.                         Might be her dad wanted to hide his sufferings but when she recognized the fact unknowingly it affected her so much. She got  panick attack and everything happened worse and till today she is stuck in that situation.                        She is not trying to forgive herself and accept the truth. Hence, she is not recovered yet. Day rises and night passes but nothing is happening in a positive way. " Dr. Brian told everything to Luna.                         While talking about past memories Brian was getting emotional but he controlled his emotions very well. He wiped his tears and emotionlessly started smiling but nurse Luna noticed his tears already.                         When Luna listened Brian's words she also got emotional and unknowingly tears started falling from her eyes too; but she wiped her tears and tried to give him strength.To be continued..................................©®Sejal Punje.Â
