Trust in God
Daily devotional
Scripture:
Psalm 27:1
"The Lord is my light and my salvationâwhom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my lifeâof whom shall I be afraid?"
Reflection:
Trust in God; He is your salvation. He is in control of everything that is happening in your life right now. I know that there are moments we face in life that are very hard and seem like, in the end, everything will not work out. But in those moments, we need to remember that we have the Lord by our side.
Remember that fear is a way of not trusting in the Lord. Every time you fear, you are not trusting in the Lord, and it's a way to paralyze our decisions. How many times in your life did you not make a decision because you were fearing? Pray to God, asking for forgiveness for those times when you were afraid and didn't make the right decision in your life, and ask Him also to help you not do that again and trust in Him.
The Lord is the stronghold of your life, and He is with you no matter the situation. When you face hard moments in your life, always keep in mind that the Lord is your light and salvation. And when you face moments where you are afraid, remember that He is the stronghold of your life.
Application:
Take a moment of your day and reflect that the Lord is the stronghold of your life.Ask for forgiveness for the moments when you didn't trust in God.When you are afraid of a situation happening in your life, remember that God is taking care of everything.
Prayer:
God, thank You so much for always being with me, taking care of my life and of situations that seemed like there wasn't a way out for me. Help me to remember that You are a good Father who is always by my side.
God, I'm sorry for the moments when I forgot that You are a good Father and that You are always with me. I surrender all my plans to You and all my desires, and I'll trust that You are in control of everything. The hard situations will not destroy my trust in You. Draw me, in every moment and every situation, close to You, and let me not forget that You are my salvation and my light.
