3 Pieces of Advice from Paul
Daily devotional
Scripture:
1 Corinthians 15:58Â (ESV):
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."
Reflection:
When we read this Bible verse, we can see that there are three pieces of advice: first is to be steadfast, second is to be immovable, and third is to always abound in the work of the Lord. Someone who is steadfast is someone who is firm, and itâs something we need to be as Christians. To be steadfast is not easy; we are always in a war, but we need to keep going. We will face hard moments and spiritual battles that will try to move our beliefs and our faith, but we always need to remember this: "Be immovable." The third piece of advice is to "always abound in the work of the Lord." We need to always do our work for God with excellence. Don't forget, our work for the Lord isn't in vain.
Application:
Take a moment today to think about these three principles.
Prayer:
God, thank you for this devotional and for this moment where I can meditate on Your word. I ask for You to guide me and help me apply these three principles in my life. I pray for my brothers that You guide them too and help them to apply these principles. God, I know that the work I am doing for You isnât in vain and that You are receiving it. Thank you, God, for this. Thatâs what I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen!
