That We Become Wiser
Daily devotional
Scripture:
Proverbs 10:14 - "The wise lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool brings ruin near."
Reflection:
In this text, we can see two types of people. One is the wise person, and the other is the fool. The wise lay up knowledge; they want to know more and are always searching for knowledge. The wise people listen to learn more, and they think before they speak. On the other hand, we have foolish people. The text says that their mouths bring ruin near. The mouth of a foolish person can destroy lives, families, and dreams. They are used to speaking without thinking, and they are accustomed to not listening, just speaking words without seeing what will happen in the lives of those who will listen to them. They often speak words knowing that it will bring ruin near to someone's life. We need to ask for wisdom from God and pray that we don't become foolish people. Let us strive not to belong to this group but instead become wiser every day.
Application:
Which group are you inâwise or foolish people?
Pray to God asking for knowledge and that you donât become a fool but instead become someone wise.
Prayer:
God, thank You for this devotional and for the opportunity You have given us to read Your Word and know more about You. I pray that I become wiser every day, and I ask for knowledge in the name of Jesus. Amen!
