☆ANSHUMAN☆

I still can't believe what Nitya said to me, my tears were continuously flowing as I was sitting on the floor feeling all devastated.

I never knew that my Nitya would ever do that to me. Years ago she told Eva to stay away from me.

Closing my eyes, I rested my head on the bed's edge as I recalled what happened just half an hour ago.

I was busy with my online meeting, when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in." I uttered clicking the mute button on screen.

" Bhai, can I talk to you?" Nitya said coming inside the room.

" Just a minute baby, I'll finish this meeting, till then you sit here." She did what she was told and sat infront of me on sofa.

Quickly wrapping up the meeting I sat beside her " What happened baccha? Is something bothering you?" I asked sensing the seriousness on her face.

" Bhai I have something to confess to you." She whispered lowly.

" what is it? You could have waited for the morning." I said cupping her face in my hands.

" No bhai, It's urgent." She immediately said removing my hands from her face.

Her serious face was making me scared. Is there something that's bothering my sister, is she not happy with the marriage or does something else happened.

My chain of thoughts were broken by her statement " Bhai I was the one who told Eva to not talk to you years ago."

My eyebrows joined in confusion.

" What are you saying?"

" Bhai, I was the one who stopped her from having any contact with you, I was the one who gave her options to choose between me and you, I am very bad sister." Her words created a havoc in my mind.

What is she saying? I definitely knew that there was something stopping Eva but I never knew that it was my sister.

My lids slowly opened hearing footsteps coming near me, and soon crying Eva's face came into my views.

She quickly marched toward me and crouched down and examining my figure worriedly "Anshuman, what happened?"

I sat straight and grabbed her hands into mine, "Eva, I am sorry Eva."

" What are you saying Anshuman, let's go out there's some..." but I cut her "I am really sorry, I couldn't imagine what you would have felt when my sister told you to choose between me and her." Her eyes became big consuming the fact.

" Anshuman, let's go out first then we'll talk, Nitya..."

" I know Nitya should not do that, I could never imagine that she'll do that, she was my lovely sister. Even though we fight sometimes but she always got my back." I said cutting her again, tears were continuously flowing down from both of our eyes.

" I know, I know and now your sister needs you. So please stand up and let's go out. She's refusing to get married." I gasp at her sentence.

" What?"

"Yes, let's talk about all this later, she needs us." She hold my hand and made me stand up.

I looked at her with tears in my eyes, she softly smiled and used the end of her dupatta to wipe my tears.

" She already apologised us, it's our time to forgive her and start over. Right?" I held her hand that was on my cheeks and closed my eyes letting the flow, she again wiped them.

She held my wrist and lead the way to hall, my puffy red eyes widened at the scenario in front of me.

My sister was crying sitting on the floor while Abhigyan was hugging her and my father was looking ready to throw his hands on her.

I entered the frame grabbing everyone's attention and rushed to my sister's devastated state. Abhigyan let go of her and she immediately hugged me, "Bhai."

" What happened her and who made my sister cry?" I roared making people finch.

" Ask your dear sister, she doesn't want to get married now." My father scoffed and I looked at Nitya and then at Eva.

She slowly shook her head. I gently held Nitya's hand and looked at everyone " I'll talk to her and you come with us." I said last part to Abhigyan.

We four, Nitya, Abhigyan, Eva and me entered Nitya's room closing the door behind.

" What's all this?" I asked Nitya.

She looked at Abhigyan then at me "Bhai, I already told you what I did and I don't want to marry after ruining your relationship. I can't lead a happy life and be like I did nothing."

"And it's a mutual decision." Abhigyan added supporting her decision.

" I can't believe you are siding her." I scratched my forehead.

" Isn't that what a partner is supposed to do?" He asked me. What a partner my little sister got, now I am very confident about this guy.

I sighed and was about to say something when Eva beats me and crouched near Nitya who was sitting on the bed.

"Nitya let by gone be by gone. Let's forget  it and start again. You have a beautiful life ahead and supportive partner." She looked at Abhigyan.

"And about forgiveness, we never really held you responsible for it. Please don't refuse for the marriage it's not something that you can decide yourself. A marriage includes bonding between two different families, two different opinions, two different cultures, two people who decide to be with each other for the rest of their life. So please, both of you stop being childish and think about others." I stare at her as she tried to explain both of them, a smile unknowingly making it's way on my lips.

We talked for some more time then returned back to the hall and apologised everyone for the inconvenience. We also told that the ritual will happen as they were planned.

We were walking back to our rooms, when I stopped her on her track by grabbing her hand.

She turned to look at me, her eyes were soft.

" Would you like to have a walk?" She bobbed her hand and followed me.

The big palace was silent and the open yard was shining in the moonlight. The fountains were looking so pretty reflecting the moonlight and the small yellow fairylights were making the scene more beautiful.

We sat in the open yard near the fountain instead of going out for walk. We both glanced at the bright moon and then at each other.

" I want to be with you Eva, I can't imagine my life without you." I uttered breaking the comfortable silence.

She smiled and said " I have been dieing to be with you."

I shifted a bit closer to her ,"You don't know, I have already died a millions of death in these years without you and still lived for the only hope that one day, I'll get to see you."

She licked her lips and gulped down while staring deep into my eyes.

We both kept looking at each other forgetting everything around us and peeping inside of our souls.
