Chapter-23
Desi Love Revival ✅
âANSHUMANâ
What just happened?
She pushed me!
Did I took it too far.
Shit!
Shit!!
Shit!!!!
I made her uncomfortable.
How can I do this??
I should have asked for her consent, I definitely took it too far.
It's my fault, I have to apologise. I just hope she doesn't think bad about me.
I kept tossing and turning the whole night thinking these things, Sleep was miles away from me.
It was nearly morning when my eyes started to feel tired and soon I drift into deep slumber.
When I woke up, I was alone in my room.
I yawned and stretched myself walking out of the bed.
After freshening up I walked out deciding to apologise her for last night.
As I descended the stairs, my eyes went on people who are gathered in the living room and now looking at me.
" Good morning." I wished everyone reaching the last stair.
" It's afternoon bhai." Nitya remarked making my eyes enlarge at her statement. "What."
I checked my mobile for confirmation and It displayed 1: 36 pm. It's nearly 2 o'clock, damn.
" Why didn't you guys woke me up." I complained taking seat on one of the empty chair.
" We did, but guess what you were not even budging, maybe too busy in your dreams." Gunny said smirking.
I was about to say something but mumma came with breakfast. Everyone was present and were busy in packing but not the one whom my eyes were searching.
My mind told me to ask someone but how do I do that without being suspicious?
"What are you searching, buddy?" A random voice came from behind. I turned to see Gunny.
He smiled widely wiggling his eyebrows.
"No..Nothing." I shake my hand.
"Ok, than I won't tell you where she went." He whispered and started walking back.
I stopped him by grabbing his arm, I asked raising my eyebrows to which he shook his head in no. I pleaded with my eyes.
He came a bit closer " They went out for some shopping."
"Shopping." I mouthed and he nodded his head.
I had to talk to her urgently she went out, I shouldn't have been this late.
By the way, this can be a good chance to talk to her, no one will disturb us but she is with Erica.
Then my eyes went to Gunny who is busy with his phone. I got an idea, I just hope he'll help me, till now he has so I think he will.
I finished the breakfast and came back to my room to get ready.
" Mumma, I have an important thing to do, I'll be back soon." I shouted in air just to inform everyone. Then I went to Gunny.
" Let's go."
" Where?" He questioned.
"I need your help."
" in what?" He again asked.
" Come on, I'll tell you in the car."
We settled into my car and drive to the place where the girls might be. The drive was a brief one, filled with some simple conversations in which I told him that, he'll have to be with Erica and leave the two of us alone.
He agreed, though he made a face hearing Erica's name, looks like they both don't go along.
I stopped the car near a market place. Stepping out of the car, we were enveloped by the lively atmosphere of the market, the smell of street food and the chatter of vendors.
My gaze ran all over to the crowd searching for a familiar figure. The moment my eyes found her, they lit up and my breath was caught in my throat.
There she was wearing a black kurti with white palazzo and a flowing white dupatta to go with it.
She held a peach coloured saree in her hand which she was draping over herself and asking Erica something maybe about it's colour or how it is looking on her.
" Bro, stop staring and let's go." Gunny spoke pulling me out of my reverie.
My cheeks flushed in embarrassment and started to walk near her. Seconds later I found myself standing behind her.
She didn't noticed my presence cause she was busy with the saree and shopkeeper.
Her dupatta was sliding from her shoulder. In a graceful motion, she retrieved it, tossing it over her shoulder again.
But as I was standing behind her staring her silently, it touched my face before sliding down towards my hand.
Suddenly a gentle tug on her dupatta caused her to turn and our eyes met, making my heart quicken it's pace.
She pulled her dupatta but it didn't came out, I glanced down to realise it got stuck in my watch. A small smile graced my lips.
My hands slowly worked on them untangle the fabric, while we both were busy staring into each other's soul. I could only see her, as if the whole crowd just disappeared from my vision.
When the dupatta was free from my watch, I slowly walked to her and drape the end of dupatta on her shoulder. A sense of warmth and belonging washed over me.
" Let's talk." I uttered.

We were sitting in a not so luxurious restaurant. I was fidgeting with my fingers trying to form a sentence to defend my actions.
Taking a deep breath, I looked at her and said " I am sorry, I should've known my limits. I don't have any right to touch you without your permission. I'll make sure that *takes another deep breath* I won't repeat something like that *stares intently* until you want me to, I was...."
She cuts me by putting her hand on my hand " I am sorry." I looked at her confusion.
"Actually, it's my fault that I pushed you, all a sudden a flash of past made me jerk away." She said not making any eye contact.
Her demeanour changed a bit, she shifted in her place. I saw some hesitation and asked her " What had happened, that made you react this way." She gulped, glancing at me.
" It's ok, if you aren't comfortable than don't." She shook her head, as I said these words to her.
" If I am uncomfortable with you than there'll be no one, I'll be comfortable with. I trust with you with each and every cell of my body." I gently held her hand in my grip, giving it a little squeeze indicating to continue.
What made her this protective about herself.
" I used to love dance so when I moved to Mumbai, I joined a dance academy. One day I was stressed and went to academy to relief my stress by dancing. No one was there but all of a sudden a senior of mine.." she started breathing heavily, her hold on my hand tightened.
" He..he came near and acted like he was just watching my moves but the he pulled me closer and tried to....tried to kiss me." I just hate these men, because of these cheap men who doesn't know how to respect women, women have to go through a lot, which makes a women not trust anyone else.
I hate myself for provoking her memories again. How dare someone touch her in an inappropriate way, I'll kill that bastard with my own hands, how dare he touch someone who's so pure and precious.
So stupid of me to think that rushing thing will make her confess, she is so fragile, I should deal with her care and patience.
