Kimberly hugged Laura tightly when she went home after she was discharged from the hospital, the little girl cried her eye out, she thought she had lost her mommy."Don't ever leave me, never, I missed you." she muttered hugging her mother tightly. She didn't bother to greet her dad when he came, all that matters in her mother who was brought back.Kimberly stuck on Laura like glue, she refused to give her space to breathe. She was scared of losing her again. But Laura did not mind, she loved her company. Alex carried her to their room, and she lay and slept with Kimberly holding her on the bed."I want to take Laura on a vacation, she deserves it, she needs something to distract herself with. She went through hell in the hands of Mason and although she doesn't show it I know the thing he did to her has left an imprint in her heart." Alex said he was having a drink with Dexter."She deserves that, you should take her somewhere serene, don't take her to the beach, she won't be able to feel free, the memories will hunt her." He gulped the liquid in his glass and added another."Why don't you look for a good place? As long as it is out of this city." Alex muttered, Dexter nodded his head. He left to start searching for a good place.The moment he left Massimo came, he sat opposite his son. Alex passed him a glass of whiskey. "How is she?" He inquired."She is fine, her wounds are slowly healing." he muttered. Massimo looked at him for a while, it looked like he was trying to figure out something, he gulped his whiskey and dropped the glass."Do you want to say something? He looked around but Kimberly wasn't present.""She is with her mother, she won't leave her side." he sounded jealous."Is that jealousy I smell?" Massimo teased him."Call it anything you want but I need time to be with her but she won't give me that space to go meet my woman." he continues complaining."you should look for something to distract yourself before you turn to something else." Massimo said.Dexter booked and got everything ready, they will be going to California. A week later they went on their vacation, Kimberly was so happy she kept looking at places."Dad let's go to the beach," she requested, Alex looked at Laura but she didn't react, she acted like she didn't hear what Kimberly requested.
