Many days have passed after the party,Alexander has been different, he no longer hurts Laura. Although he doesn't accept the fact that he is in love with the girl his actions say it all. As they say, actions speak better than words."Aunty where is my dad? I haven't seen him since this morning" Kimberly asked"Your dad is busy love, he had an urgent matter to take care of but don't worry he will be back soon." Kimberly nodded her head.Alexander has been very good to Laura lately, and his feeling for her is growing wider. He has been taking her out on dates, parties, and events, and news about that has been flying like wildfire.Sitting inside her room on her comfy bed holding a newspaper with a firm grip was  Sandra. She was fuming with rage, she thought Laura's life will be a living hell since she was with Alexander, but what she is reading in the newspaper is not what she imagined.The headline reads "The heartless mafia has finally found the love of his life" a picture of them holding each other was on the front page of the newspaper.She angrily twisted the paper and threw it at the mirror "you can't be happy and not with a wealthy man" she mumbled to herself.She went to her mother's room but she was nowhere to be found which means she was in the casino again.Meanwhile in the casino, Pauline was failing miserably, it's like her luck has run out because no matter what she does she can't seem to win even a hundred bucks.Her moves are failing her and she doesn't know what to do. She has lost close to ten million. She can't stop, she needs to win to make up.Alex sat in his office watching the scene on the surveillance video, he smirked. Pauline only won because he let her win, he wanted to thank her for Laura but she spoiled everything by scaring her."Give her a few wins, we are losing her," he said to the card dealer.Pauline flipped her fingers, a waiter dressed in black and white holding a tray filled with glasses of brandy, came to her table. She took two glasses and drank them in one go.The card dealer deals the card, her gave their cards, she won, then the second till the third. She felt that her luck had returned not knowing that there is a mastermind masterminding everything in the shadows.Her opponent went all in including his company, land titles, and an expensive wristwatch. Pauline couldn't sit and watch him bet all he had, she wanted to prove that she is the boss so she also went all in, she included her house and company papers.The card dealer served the card, he raised his hands showing that they were empty. Pauline smiled, she had a full house she was sure to win. She dropped her cards with a triumphant smile on her face, her eyes sparkled with greed..She carried everything on the table, her opponent raised his hand and said "not so fast Pauline, it was a good game but you should have checked your luck." He dropped his cards, he had a royal flush.The world seem to stop for a split second, she stood dumbfounded, "this is not right, you cheated." She yelled causing a scene in the casino."Calm down Pauline, it was a game and you lost, you shouldn't yell." Her opponent said, she attacked him trying to take the company papers from him but Alex's guards held her.Alex sent Dexter to handle the situation. He took a bottle of scotch from his wine bar in the office, he pours himself a glass and drank. The was a knock on the door, he told the person to come in, he took out a stick and put it in his mouth blowing out the thick smoke in the air."Good evening Don" the person greeted,Alex stood up from his seat, strode to thecouch in his office, and took a seat."Mr. Ace you played a good game just as I expected and like I said, the property, cash, and company belong to you. Congratulations on expanding your business" he tipped his glass motioning a toss, he drank every single drop of scotch in his glass.Mr. Ace smiled, shook hands with Alex, and left. Meanwhile Dexter took Pauline outside, she was told to go home and relax and unwind. Ace gave her one day to pack up and leave the house and company.She entered her car and drove off, she was riding at full speed while drinking a bottle of liquor, tears streaming down her eyes. She acted like a fool betting on everything she owned. What will she tell her daughter? That they lost all they had due to their gambling problem? She sold that witch for nothing.She was in deep thought, her eyes were blinded with tears. She didn't know that she had left her lane, a truck was coming ahead of her with speed, and the truck driver hit the horn breaking her from her thoughts.She was able to evade the truck but sadly she lose control of the steering wheel, the car entered a thick bush and crashed into a tree. Pauline tried to keep her eyes but it was hard, she welcomed the darkness letting it envelop her.A pedestrian saw her car and rushed to her aid, he called 911 and an ambulance. The police were fast to come to the scene, she was removed from the car. She looked horrible, blood oozed out of her head.The paramedics carried her to the ambulance, they tried treating her wounds to stop the blood. She was carried to the emergency room, the doctors tried all they could to save her life.The police called Sandra informing her of what has happened, she rushed to the hospital in tears. The police informed her everything, how her car crashed into a tree."It seems your mother was intoxicated, we found a bottle of liquor in her car, she had taken half of it." Sandra burst into tears, and a fresh batch of tears spilled out of her eyes."Can you tell us where she was from?" the inspector asked"She normally goes to the casino, the one not too far from Rosemary bar" the inspector sent someone to clarify and it was confirmed."Your mom gambled her property that is your house and company and she lost." Sandra looked as white as a ghost, the news was shocking, how could she do that?"That's a lie I don't believe it." theinspector showed her a video that was posted by someone a few minutes ago, it was a video of Pauline fighting with Ace.The doctor stepped out of the emergency room, he was sweating profusely. Sandra rushed to him hoping for good news but the look on the doctor's face says it all."I am sorry, we tried our best but we couldn't safe her." Sandra couldn't handle everything so she passed out. She was carried to a room where she was laid down to rest.The next morning, Mr. Ace kicked her out of the house, she couldn't believe she had nowhere to go, her mom was in the morgue, and she has hospital bills to settle.New about Pauline's dead was announced in the morning news. Laura was watching TV, and luckily Alex permitted her to do so. Both of them sat and were watching the news when they heard about her death.She couldn't believe it, she cried. She begged to go visit them but Alex refused, he couldn't understand why she was crying and begging to go visit the same woman who caused her pain.
