Alex had plans for the night but it seems like Kimberly has another, she has been following Laura wherever she goes."Kimberly, don't you think it is time for you to go to bed? Alex had the urge to pull her to her room and lock the door but he couldn't bring himself to hurt his little angel."Let's go?" They went to her room together, Laura tucked her in, then she took a book on her little shelf."Long ago" she started.Alex felt frustrated in his room, he loves his daughter there is no denying that but she is ruining his plan, he wanted to make Laura scream his name this night but instead, Laura is there reading her a bedtime story.After waiting for over thirty minutes,Alex decided to check up on them. Whenhe got there, he didn't know how to react, he felt something stir up within him.His daughter was fast asleep and she had a little smile on her face, and Aurelia whose head was on the bed, she was also asleep with a storybook in her handHe wouldn't lie, for the past few days Kimberly looks happy and she is always smiling. Seems like she only needed someone to fill in the gap of a mother in her life.He entered the room, gently carried Laura, and place her on the bed next to his daughter. For a moment he felt guilty for what he has been doing to her, she is a kindhearted girl but he has done nothing but put her through endless pain and suffering coupled with what her stepmother did to her.He left the room and went to the sitting room, and took a bottle of liquor from the wine bar: Dexter joined him, "why are you still up?" He asked gulping his glass."I heard some noise and came to check it out. Why do you look down Alex?" He took a glass and pour himself some wine. Alex took a cigarette pack from his pocket, gave Dexter one stick, and put one in his mouth."I don't know, I feel like I have done something wrong. The next day when he woke up, the first thing he did was to check up on his daughter and Laura.When he got in, he couldn't help but smile. Kimberly was talking nonstop while Laura was combing her hair ever so gently."Aunty, should we go to the park? Dad never lets me out of this house, I am even homeschooling. But with you here I am sure he will let us out." He saw sadness flash through Laura's eyes but it left the same way it came."Maybe it is for your good princess, justlisten to him. Alex could see the feardangling in her eyes.At the dining table, the smile that was on Laura's face when she was with Kimberly was no more, she couldn't smile when her master and his right-hand man Dexter were present.Quietly she fed Kimberly, she couldn'twait for the men on the table to leave forwork so she can feel free and not bescared."Penelope look for something free that Kimberly can wear." She nods and leaves."Why daddy?" Came her little voice"Because you will be going to the park, I want to spend quality time with you before I get busy with work" he smiled"Yay, we are going to the park.
