The End....Or Is It

Ghost Sweepers The XXX that only I can understand

"It's finally over," Jay said.

"Yes. Finally," I agreed. It was a long day.

"Mr. Eric, what will happened now?" I turned and asked. Mr Eric slashed back his sword.

"There will be some Supporters who specialize in exorcism cases come over and handle the school situation and reconstruction process. It will take a while before you guys can get back to school."

"I see."

"Mr. Eric. What about me? Will I receive punishment."

"You will have a consultation with a social worker tomorrow to check your mental health condition after the ghost is being exorcised. Don't worry, they are experts in dealing with ghost affairs and they will know your situation. You can talk anything to them including your experience with Bloody," Mr. Eric explained.

"That's kind. I thought I will receive some kind of punishment like compulsory suspension."

"I won't say you won't. That's not my area. But don't think too much about it now. There are lots of students in this country who experience ghost affairs. You are not the only one. But I suggest you follow the confidential policy and remain this incident as a secret as there won't be many people believe this is a supernatural affair. According to the situation I know now, this will highly be known as some kind of gas leak incident to the public."

"Alright, I'll shut my mouth. I know more than anyone what it feels to be treat as a weirdo," said Kevin.

I nodded my head, "Me too. I don't want bad rumours to spread and other people to be scared of ghosts."

"That settles. Cheer up, you, guys. You guys are heroes! You help me exorcise a ghost and save other students!"

"Ha......are we? I think we are just made it by accident," I sighed. If we took any step wrong, we won't be standing here right now.

"Is it? I feel like we just been through an adventure. It's exciting! I got to test my fighting abilities." Jay grinned.

"Jay! Don't joke at a time like this. I'm exhausted. I nearby thought you died."

"Alfie! Forget that and look at this bright side. Everyone's ok and you reunion with a friend. That's wonderful, isn't it?"

"Ummm.....I guess so. Still, it's a long day." I sighed again. Why is the ghost beside me always so cheerful? Sometimes I wish he can think more like...........ah! All of the sudden, a thought popped in my head.

"Mr. Eric, what about Jay? Please don't tell me you are going to exorcise him too?"

"Jay? Of course, after meeting you guys, I realised Jay should not be considered as a dangerous enemy. I promise I won't exorcise Jay and keep you guys a secret from other ghost sweepers."

"That's great. Thank you, Mr. Eric."

"Not a problem. For me, rules are born to be broken. Besides, guess what, Jay is too dangerous to be an enemy."

"Dangerous? What do you mean? Jay is not dangerous."

"He isn't. I'm glad he's not. Don't worry, I'm just praising him to be too strong." Mr. Eric gave a bitter laugh, "Alfie, look after Jay. He needs you."

"Don't worry. Jay won't be a bad ghost. He's a good one. I won't let him to be naughty."

"Hey, Alfie. Don't treat me like a child. To be frank, I am older than you."

"What are you talking about. I am older than you. You only look older in appearance."

"What? Of course not. I am----"

"Ok, guys. Stop arguing. You guys sure look similar."

"Hehe." I smiled. We waved goodbye to Mr. Eric. I took a last glance at the senior ghost sweeper. Sentiment showed in my eyes. No tears. The sun was setting. Although there was this scary ghost thing, it was a fine morning. Kevin turned to me and smiled.

"Alfie, now that's everything is over. Are you free this afternoon?" he asked.

"I think so. There isn't school today."

"Alright. I want to fulfil my promise. Do you want to go to the shopping mall with me today?"

"Yes, of course! I couldn't wait!" My eyes beamed.

"Hey Kevin, what about me? I won't let you steal Alfie away from me," Jay added. He always liked to stick with me.

"Of course, you will be invited too. Don't worry, I won't let you guys be apart. After all, you guys make a good couple."

"We are not couples!" I exclaimed, brushing in red. Why does Kevin say that?

"I was just kidding. Let's go, Alfie, Jay."

"Sure!" Jay and I shouted, grinning.

It's nice to be over.

Isn't it nice to have a happy ending?

"..........."
