Chapter - 05 ʟᴏᴠᴇ ??

Her Royal Destiny

Ms. Aanya Malhotra, what are you doing to me? I, Aarav Singh Rajvansh, never believed in love, attraction, destiny, or love at first sight because I thought it was not my cup of tea. However, Aanya Malhotra has changed every single thought of mine. When she smiles, it's like the moon is glowing. Her appearance might be simple, yet she looks elegant. She is a timeless beauty with refined elegance. The color of her eyes is like tidal waves, and I'm drowning deeply. Is it love or mere attraction?

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone. Why is he calling me now?

"What is it??"

"Bruh, why so irritated? I just called you to say that we are coming tomorrow," the person on the phone said.

"Are you all returning tomorrow Atharva or only you three?" I inquired my cousin brother.

"We three along with mom, dad and bua"

"Okay, have a safe trip. Once you guys are at the airport, I'll send the cars to pick you up," I said.

"Ok Bhai sa good night"Atharva said playfully

"Good night"

He is Atharva Singh Rajvansh, my cousin and the son of my chacha and chachi. He is a playful and adorable guy. His jokes are out of this world, and he keeps the palace alive with his presence. He has a sister named Aarohi, who is the opposite - quiet and introverted but close to me. They are twins, yet so different from each other.

Then there's my Bua, Aditi Roy. Currently, she lives with us because she divorced her husband, who was cheating on her. She has a daughter, Myra, who is a happy pill and a sunshine girl - just like Atharva, always smiling. However, the challenging part is that Myra loves playing pranks on everyone and often seeks my help when she gets into trouble.

Next morning

Author's pov:

The soft glow of dawn bathes the room as sunlight gradually fills it. The chirping of birds outside serves as a natural alarm clock, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or tea wafts through the air, signaling the start of a new day.

"Good morning, Aanya Malhotra," Aanya said, stretching her arms. As she saw the time - it was 6 in the morning - she thought of going to jogging. "A new day, but the same life."

She got up and went to the bathroom for her daily routine. Afterwards, she put on her outfit and went out for a jog. While walking out, she bumped into something hard - none other than Aarav Singh Rajvansh, who was smirking at her.

"Good morning, my Alora," he said, his beautiful smile representing warmth.

"Good morning Mr Rajvansh"

"Stop calling me that; you can call me Aarav or any sweet name you like," he said, winking.

"Okay then, I'll call you Mr. Flirt. Is that okay?" I said, teasing him.

"As you wish, my Alora. And as you know, our meeting was not so good, so let me introduce myself."

She sighed and said "ok let's start from the start"

"Hello, I'm Aarav Singh Rajvansh, the king of Rajasthan, and your future hubby," he said, winking at her, a gesture that left her annoyed.

"Hi, I'm Aanya Malhotra, a cardiac surgeon, and considering yourself as my future hubby is your biggest delusion," Aanya said, clearly irritated by him. He ignored her words and said-

"Oh, Aanya, you are a surgeon, please check my heart; I think there might be a problem," he said in a low tone, causing her to worry that he might indeed have an issue.

"Why?? Do you have any health issues"

"No, just seeing you makes my heart race, and I feel like I'm going to faint because of it," he said shamelessly, smiling and causing her to blush.

"Oh, just shut up, Aarav! Stop troubling me, and I'm leaving. Don't waste my time," she exclaimed.

He said in a challenging tone, "You know what? In this one month, I'll try my best to make you fall for me."

"Mujhe lagta hai ki aapko jakar psychiatrist se consult karana chahiye, lagta hai aapki dimaaghi halat kuch theek nahi." She said controlling her laugh

(I think you should go and consult a psychiatrist, it seems your mental condition is not right.)

"And I Aanya Malhotra will never fall in love with you.." she said with determination

"Will see Ms Malhotra"

"Aarav, I'm telling you it's just an attraction or a fling. Stop wasting your time," Aanya said, trying to make him understand.

"Listen, Aanya, I know it's hard to believe, but the day I saw you was the first time my heart raced upon seeing a girl. Your eyes, your smile, your simplicity define you. While I may not be in love with you, I do like you. This king isn't backing out anytime soon," he said, evoking a range of emotions in her that she never wanted to experience, especially after what had happened to her. She couldn't bear any more heartbreak now.

Aarav is a flirtatious person, but he doesn't flirt with every girl he sees-only with those close to him. Though he has flirted in the past, he has never truly loved any girl. However, Aanya has now changed his perspective on love.

No, no, Aanya, breathe. You can't have a panic attack now. He can't love me; all are fake. He will also break me like Rehan did. I hate this feeling, and love is not meant for me. Everyone who is close to me always went far from me or avoided my presence. I don't want him to be the same; I have to maintain distance from him.

"Aanya, are you okay? What happened?" he asked, looking at my trembling figure.

"I-I'm fine just leave me alone"

"No, I'm not, and you're having a panic attack. Listen to me, sweetheart. Take deep breaths, baby. I'll not trouble you. Please take deep breaths. I'm here for you, okay?" he said, consoling me. It was working, and I was a bit more stable, but why the hell did I have a panic attack in front of him... ughh!

(A/n~ So, guys, sometimes, while having a panic attack, if someone consoles you like Aarav did, it can help pull you out of the attack.)

Mind: Dear Aanya, a panic attack won't come and announce, "Ohh, Aanya, look, I'm coming, be cautious, and don't be near Aarav."

*note the sarcasm*

"I'm fine now; you can leave. I'll go and take some rest," I said, avoiding eye contact.

"Okay, I'll go, but on one condition answer my question. Why do you get panic attacks? Did something happen? I know they only come when someone triggers you or when you see something from the past that you can't bear," he asked, firing all the questions at once and making me nervous.

"Mr. Rajvansh, it's none of your business. Please stay out of my life," I said and left without waiting for him to reply.

Why is he attempting to intrude into my life and make me fall for him when he hasn't reciprocated those feelings? There's a significant difference between liking someone and being in love. I shouldn't succumb to any of his tactics. I made a big mistake by trusting Rehan and believing he would never leave me, but like others, he eventually left too. I have never desired much in my life; I just wanted love and care, but I couldn't find that. Although I received care from everyone, love remained elusive.

Saathi tera bann jaaun

Kyun hai yeh junoon!

Har aansun tera pee jaaun

Aur de du sukoon

Har din tujhko chaahun

Teri raah takun

Apni baahon mein tujhko

Main salaamat rakhun
