Chapter -25 ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ᴏʀ ʀᴇᴀʟɪᴛʏ

~ Day of Incident ~

I stood there looking at him taking her away from me. Who is he? Did she move on? Is he her love of life ? Is he keeping her happy?. I closed my eyes the rain drops falling on my face, I feel like a loser, in process to save everyone I lost myself. I lost everything. That person ruined everything, my family, my love, my sister...

I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a piercing pain in my arm-someone had shot me. I looked ahead and saw a man in a black hoodie, his face covered by a mask. His eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he watched me in this state. He raised the gun again and pulled the trigger, the bullet piercing through my chest, but I let him shoot. This was his only chance; if I died, he would live, but if I survived, he would die. Besides, I wanted to feel more pain-enough to make me numb, so I could drift into a peaceful sleep where only happiness exists.

My vision got blurred and I fell into a deep pit of darkness..

I felt someone shaking me, I opened my eyes and saw Aanya, she smiled at me and said to get up. I was confused as I remember I was shot then how am I in my room. And she is wearing mangalsutra and sindoor, she is married. No no are we married,

"Jaan get up everyone is waiting for us" she said dragging him out of the bed. When I saw her I immediately hugged her and tears rushed out.

"I missed you My Alora" she broke the hug and frowned looking at me.

"Are you okay? I'm here only" she tip-toed and kissed my forehead and wiped my tears.

"I'm fine had a nightmare" I said looking at her

"It's okay, I'll always be there for you when you get a nightmare I'll kiss your forehead to heal you" she smiled and hugged me as I snuggled in the crook of her neck.

Aapki mohabbat mei tabah hone ke liye bhi taiyaar hoon Rani sahiba

She broke the hug and asked me to freshen up I nodded and went inside the bathroom. After some time I came out, she was wearing a blue saree looking beautiful. I went and back hugged her she smiled at me and turned towards me..

"You look beautiful rani sahiba"

My gaze shifted to her soft, full lips, and then I looked into her eyes. She nodded subtly, and in that moment, I closed the distance between us, pressing my lips against hers. The kiss was filled with passion, and she responded with equal intensity, matching my rhythm. Every emotion I had been holding back poured into the kiss as I pulled her closer, feeling the warmth of her body against mine.

Her fingers slid into my hair, gently caressing, adding a tender touch to the intensity between us. The world around us seemed to fade away, leaving only the heat of the moment, the sound of our breaths mingling, and the undeniable connection we shared.

I then broke the kiss and looked into her oceanic eyes, which looked at me with love.

"Let's go downstairs, we are already late" She said with a pout. Cute!!

I nodded and went downstairs and jiya saw me and hugged me, My princess. I hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead. She looked at me and smiled

"Bhai sa, see vihaan Bhai is troubling me" she made a pout and complained. I chuckled and scolded vihaan not to trouble her.

I guess whatever I saw was a nightmare, a brutal nightmare which I never want it to be real. Seeing my family and my love happy, I feel good and I hope they'll always be happy and safe.

After having breakfast, Aanya took me towards the garden, I looked confused because this palace was filled with beautiful plants but I guess she did it, I might not remember, yes yes I might not remember..

We then went and sat on the swing and she rested her head on my shoulder and intertwined our hands.

"Aarav, do you love kids?" She asked

"I love kids and in future we'll have a little you" I said

"Why not little you"

"Mmm, what about both" she laughed and hit my arm

"Pervert"

"Haww!! I'm saying this to my wife, not the neighbor's wife, Rani sa," I said teasingly. She looked at me in anger, grabbed my collar, and pulled me towards her.

"Don't you dare talk about other women Rana sa" she said nah ordered.

"Ooh my feisty woman, I'm all yours and your all mine" I said and pecked her lips, ohh gosh!! I'm obsessed with her lips.

"Good" she said

"Aarav jaana, I want to say something" she looked nervous and bit her lips.

"Say it" I removed her lips from her teeth and caressed it with my thumb.

"I'm pregnant!"

I was shocked and tears spilling out, I looked at her and she nodded with tears in her eyes. I looked at her small tummy and kept my hand there.

"When"

"I wasn't feeling well so yesterday I tested and it showed positive" she said sniffing.

I took her in my arms and said "Thank you, thank you so much for giving me this happiness. I love you so much My Alora.."

"I love you too my Home"

"Tomorrow we'll go for the checkup okay" she nodded in response.

•  Next Morning  •

I opened my eyes and saw my beautiful wife sleeping like a child snuggled into my chest, I smiled and kissed her head. I kept my hand on her tummy and felt overwhelmed, I'm going to be a father and I'll protect my Aanya and our little one.

My thoughts went to the previous day I had the nightmare and it felt real but thank God, it isn't. I have her and I'll never let her go away from me. I got up and kissed her nose and then tummy, in response she giggled

"Love get up we have an appointment with the doctor" I said and nodded, I went to freshen up. After sometime I came out and she was sitting on the bed in deep thoughts

"What are you thinking Alora" I asked as she looked at me

"Nothing, just feeling worried" I frowned at her words

"Why?"

"I don't I don't feel good like something's gonna happen" I smiled at her and said

"Don't worry nothing will happen and I'm there to protect you both, I'll do it even if I have to die" She kept her palm on my mouth and shook her head

"Don't talk about dying, I can't live without you. Promise me you'll never leave me." I nodded and promised her to never leave her alone.

She then went to the washroom to freshen up and returned after sometime. We went downstairs for breakfast and we decided to reveal the pregnancy after the visit to the doctor.

"Maa sa we are going out for some work" I said to maa sa as she nodded and said to us to be careful.

We sat in the car as I drove towards the hospital, during the ride she had a beautiful smile and I kept my hand on hers and smiled at her. Soon we reached the hospital, I parked the car and both got down and went inside.

We went inside the doctor's cabin, she smiled and welcomed us as we sat on the chair opposite her.

"I guess you've done the pregnancy test through the kit" she asked Aanya as she nodded and continued

"Okay, we will be taking other tests as well to make sure you're healthy enough" She called out for the nurse and Aanya went with her. After a couple of minutes she returned and sat next to me. I held her hand comforting her as she looked nervous.

After half an hour the same nurse came and handed the doctor the reports. She examined the reports and looked at us and said "as you already know but then to congratulations you are going to be parents and you are 4 weeks pregnant"

We smiled at her and Aanya looked at me with tears, though we knew but listening to it from her gave an adrenaline rush. We then asked about all the things about pregnancy and left  from there.

"Aarav are you happy??"She asked

"Happy naah, I feel the luckiest man in the world, I feel overwhelmed and I don't have words to describe my happiness" She giggled hearing my words. I pecked her lips and asked her to sit in the car.

"Aarav stop!!" I pulled the break and glared at her.

"What's wrong Aanya?? Are you fine ?"she smiled sheepishly and looked outside. I followed her gaze and saw an ice cream shop opposite the road. I sighed knowing what she wants

"You want ice cream?" I asked and she bobbed her head like a cute child.. she'll be the death of me..

"As you wish Rani saa" she giggled and I asked her to sit in the car. I went outside and crossed the road to buy the ice cream.

As I stepped out of the shop holding three ice creams — two chocolate chip and one black currant—I glanced towards the road and was shocked to see Aanya in the middle of the street, running to save a cat. My heart raced as I spotted a car speeding towards her. Without thinking, I rushed in her direction, desperate to reach her in time.

"Aanya moveeee!!" She looked at me and then towards the truck, she seemed to froze in her place. My heart pounded as I raced towards her, screaming her name, but my legs felt like they couldn’t move fast enough. I reached out, desperate to grab her.

But I was too late..

The truck hit her with a sickening thud, and time stood still. My breath caught in my throat as I watched her small body collapse onto the road, the cat darting away in fear. Everything around me blurred, and a cold numbness spread through me.

"Aanya!" I screamed, my voice breaking as I dropped to my knees beside her. She lay motionless, her eyes half-open, blood pooling beneath her. I could barely hear the shouts of people gathering around us, my focus entirely on her pale face.

"No no you can't leave me, someone bloody  call  the ambulance" I cried out, her blood was flowing and she was trembling.

"Our baby" she moved her hand to her tummy as her tears spilled out.

"Nothing will happen to you both, I'll save you both. Please be with me, don't close your eyes love" She smiled at me with tears rushing down, she moved her hands towards my cheeks wiping the tears and said

"My love will you promise me something" she asked trembling as she couldn't talk. Where the hell is this ambulance, fuck it.

"Yes my love, I'll do everything you say but please don't close your eyes talk to me" I said as tears spilled more seeing her condition. I picked her up and took her towards the car and a man helped to drive as I sat in the back seat, with Aanya in my arms.

"Aarav, after I die please move on.." she said, I glared at her for saying rubbish things.

"  YOU FREAKING WON'T DIE" I yelled crying

"YOU ARE NOT GONNA LEAVE ME." I hugged her, she smiled looking at me no no please no..

"I can't, I'll a-accompany o-our baby there" she said

"No please don't leave me, I can't live without you please Rani sa I'll die if you leave me. You said you'll always be with me then why are you leaving me alone no please" I cried out like a child holding her

"Aarav my love, my home, I love you and I'll always love you.. I'll always be in your heart." She kissed me on the chest where my heart is and closed her eyes.

"Alora!!" I whispered with tears before I closed my eyes.
