Chapter 7

Puppy on Christmas

Playboy's Heart

Chapter 5

After that night, Sky and Nani both assumed they had made up, even though everything still felt a bit blurry between them.

But at least, Sky was completely back to his full sunshine energy. Seeing Sky so cheerful and radiant again brought a sense of relief to Nani.

Just by the way, Nani caught himself caring about Sky, he knew that he was no longer someone who would flirt for fun anymore. It was clear to him now that his heart had already fallen for that giant puppy.

But his past held him back from showing his care to Sky easily. Nani was still haunted by old fears and insecurities, hesitant to fully open up and let Sky in.

Nadao Bangkok Company

Today, Sky have photoshoot with other actors. He walked into the room with his big smile, his cheerful energy lighting up the space.

"Morning, Kub. P Vika," he greeted Davika, dropping his bag on the table nearby. He then settled into a chair as the makeup artist began her work on him.

Davika lifted her face from her phone and smiled at Sky. "Song and Jame were saying you're heartbroken, but it looks like your playboy has already patched things up," she teased Sky.

Almost everyone in the company who was close to Sky knew that he had locked his heart away for that spoiled rich boy.

"Don't believe them, P Vika," Sky replied with a hint of amusement in his voice. Davika noticed the happiness in Sky's tone—she knew that what Jame and Song said was true, Sky would do anything for that boy.

Davika looked at Sky a little longer and gently patted his face. She sometimes worried about Sky, the more Sky fell for that boy, the more risk that he could getting hurt if that boy broke Sky's heart. Davika loved Sky too much to point that sometime she think of him as her son. If that boy ever broke Sky's heart, Davika would be the first one to break that play boy's bone. She cared deeply for Sky and couldn't stand the thought of him getting hurt.

Sky just smiled at Davika's gentle actions toward him. He knew how much she cared about him, and he truly appreciated it. Sky always felt that he had hit the jackpot to have someone like Davika looking out for him.

"Ahem... your boyfriend is here," Ter said as he walked into the room. Ter was Davika's boyfriend, and they were open about their relationship—everyone knew about it.

"Someone's jealous," Sky said with a laugh.

"And do you get jealous when someone touches your playboy?" Ter said, pinching Sky's cheek until the makeup artist playfully pinched Ter's hand back.

"Who said you could pinch Nong Sky's cheek?" the makeup artist teased in a playful tone.

"Okay, okay. I get that he's the apple of everyone's eyes here," Ter let out a sheepish laugh at the makeup artist's playful reprimand.

Sky rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile at Ter's antics.

"Just make sure to keep your hands to yourself, P Ter." Davika teased.

Mall

As the evening arrived, Nani and his friends came to the mall together since Groya and Win suggested it, and today was Christmas Day. They wanted to enjoy the festive atmosphere and maybe do a little shopping or just hang out in the holiday spirit.

Groya and Prim were busy finding gifts, while Bright and Win were also on a mission to pick out the best presents for their families and bet who could get a better gift. Nani and Dew were sitting in the corner of the shop, waiting for their friends to finish. Dew enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, watching the hustle and bustle of the mall around him. While Nani kept checking his phone.

For the whole day, Nani couldn't catch even a shadow of Sky, and it annoyed him more than he cared to admit.

Dew checked his phone when a message from Tee came through. As he read the message, everything clicked—he now knew why Sky hadn't been around Nani today. Sky's photoshoot wasn't finished yet, and Tee was the photographer.

the message was a photo of Sky that Tee had just taken. In it, Sky looked effortlessly charming, his soft features and wide smile making him resemble an adorable puppy. Along with the photo, Tee had added a playful text: "Now I know why everyone says Sky has a puppy face."

Dew chuckled quietly at the message, glancing at the photo again before looking at Nani, who was still sitting nearby, visibly annoyed.

"Nani, want to know why your puppy is missing today?" Dew asked with a teasing grin as he stood up, holding his phone in hand.

"None of my business," Nani replied coolly, pretending to focus on his phone. But the slight twitch in his expression betrayed his curiosity, no matter how hard he tried to hide it.

Dew nod and walk away slowly but he turn around and show Sky photo to Nani.

Nani raise his eyes to look into Dew's phone.

Nani caught a glimpse of Sky's photo on Dew's phone and couldn't help but smile. But as soon as he realized, he quickly hid his smile, afraid that Dew might notice the soft expression creeping onto his face.

Nani also want that photo, but his pride wouldn't let him ask Dew for it. Instead, he stayed quiet, hoping Dew wouldn't catch on to his interest.

Dew let out a small laugh, clearly amused by Nani's failed attempt to hide his interest. Without saying a word, he sent the photo to Nani's messages.

"I know you want it," Dew teased, smirking as he watched Nani glance at his phone, trying to act unbothered.

Nani ignored Dew's teasing and walked out of the mall. He pulled out his phone and stared at Sky's photo. The cold wind whipped around him, but his heart felt warm just looking at Sky's bright, puppy-like smile. For a moment, all his irritation melted away, replaced by an unshakable sense of comfort.

Nani slipped his phone into his pocket, but the warmth from that photo lingered in his heart. He looked around at the bustling crowd outside the mall—families, couples, and friends snapping pictures with the elaborate Christmas decorations. The festive atmosphere was lively, yet something felt incomplete to him.

As he watched the cheerful scene, Nani couldn't help but think how much better it would be if that giant puppy were here with him. The thought brought a small, almost imperceptible smile to his face.

"Nani."

Nani looked around for the familiar voice that called his name. His gaze scanned the crowd until he spotted the person waving—a figure with a warm smile running toward him.

Sky ran toward Nani with a big smile, dressed exactly the same as in the photo that Nani had seen earlier. After finishing everything, Sky rushed here as Groya told him to.

Nani couldn't hold back his smile any longer as he saw Sky running toward him. The sight of that giant puppy-like grin was enough to warm his heart from the cold air around them.

Sky threw his arm around Nani as he arrived. Nani was a bit shocked by the sudden touch, especially feeling the cold temperature of Sky's body.

Sky lifted Nani off the ground a little, and Nani quickly wrapped his arms around Sky's neck as a reflex.

"Sky, put me down," Nani said, gently hitting Sky on the shoulder.

Sky shook his head with a smile and tightened his hug. Even though Nani asked Sky to put him down, the smile on his face was wide. There was a warmth and comfort in the embrace that neither of them wanted to break.

Dew was about to walk outside to find Nani but he stopped in his tracks as he spotted them. With a small smile, he took out his phone and quietly snapped a picture of them hugging, capturing the smile on both their faces.

(Look at your smile, Nani. And yet you said you don't like him.) Dew thought to himself with a knowing smile before walking back inside. It was clear to Dew that Nani's heart was already caught, no matter how much he tried to hide it.
