Playboy's Heart

Chapter 31

After what happened in Phuket, Sky has become more careful whenever someone is overly touchy or too friendly around him, afraid he might repeat the same mistake again.

Sky casually asked Nani if he wanted to tag along to the shooting scene it seemed like Nani was in no rush to leave. Little did Sky know, Nani had a pile of meetings waiting for him, he just wanted to spend more time with Sky. Without hesitation, Nani agreed, brushing off his work like it didn't even exist.

At the shooting scene, even though Nani was just sitting casually, his presence scream power and undeniable charm. Everyone there couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy, how did Sky manage to land someone so perfect? But Sky was far too busy to notice, focusing on countless scenes to shoot. Even though he was tired, his smile was as bright as the sun.

When it was finally Sky's turn to take a break, he dropped his body to sit next to Nani. Nani brought a small fan to wave in front of Sky's face, helping to cool him down from the sweat.

"Want some water?" Nani asked, even though he had already opened the bottle for Sky.

Sky nodded with a smile and drank the water from Nani's hand. Nani carefully held the bottle, since Sky didn't bother lifting his hand to hold it himself. Nani shook his head, The more he spoil this puppy, the more Sky acts like a little naughty kid. Nani sighed, watching Sky drink the water with a content smile on his face.

"Thank you, Can I bring you to the shooting scene everyday, it is nice having someone take care of me." Sky said, his voice playful.

Nani rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the small grin tugging at his lips. "Oh, so now I'm your personal assistant?" he teased.

Sky raised an eyebrow, his voice playful. "Do you want to become one?"

Nani shook his head, a smirk on his face. "You're lucky I like you, puppy. For my whole life, you're the first one I'm allowing to boss me around."

Sky's grin grew wider, clearly enjoying the moment. "I must be special, then."

"Don't push your luck, idiot." Nani said with a playful flick to Sky's forehead, patting his head afterwards.

"I'm not , Someone here loves spoiling me but just doesn't admit it."

Nani scoffed, trying to hide the smile tugging at his lips. "You wish," he muttered. though the warmth in his voice betrayed him. "You're lucky I'm in a good mood today."

Sky continued with his work until everything was finished, and it was time for him to change. Nani waited outside, his thoughts drifting as the minutes passed. During that time, Sky's manager approached Nani, a subtle look of concern in her eyes.

"Nani, can I have a word with you?" Nani just nodded curiously.

"Has Sky told you yet?" she asked, her tone a little careful. "There's a big agency that wants to invite both of you to their show."

Nani didn't immediately respond, a quiet tension settling in.

The manager seemed to notice, her gaze shifting with understanding. "He hasn't, has he?" she said softly. "Sky's already told me to turn down the interview. He wants to keep you out of the spotlight for now. He doesn't want you to feel uncomfortable in a new environment."

For Sky, this is just another opportunity, but for Nani... it's different. Even though there a few paparazzi follow Nani around, he's never been on a show like that. That is why Sky turn down the interview.

Nani let out a slow breath, processing the information. It was clear that Sky cared for him, but there was a part of him that felt conflicted.

Since their relationship had become public, they'd never really shown themselves together in a way that confirmed their connection. If they used this show as an opportunity to be open, it could work well for them. Maybe it was time to step out of the shadows, but at the same time, Nani wasn't sure if he was ready for that kind of exposure.

The manager noticed his hesitation and gave him a reassuring smile. "Sky just wants what's best for you. He doesn't want you to feel like you have to do anything you're not ready for. But if you want to talk to him about it, I'm sure he'd listen."

As they arrived at Sky's place, both of them settled on the couch, cozy and comfortable, with Nani curling up beside Sky. They picked out one of Nani's favorite cartoon shows, and as the colorful characters filled the screen, the warmth between them was undeniable. Sky's arm was draped casually over Nani's shoulder, the soft sound of laughter from the show echoing around them.

But even as they enjoyed the moment, Nani's mind kept drifting back to the conversation he had with Sky's manager earlier.

Sky, completely at ease, glanced down at Nani, noticing the quiet shift in his mood. "Nani, what's wrong? You've been so zoned out since we got home," he said softly, his tone laced with concern.

Nani blinked a few times, a little startled from his thoughts, then let out a sigh. "It's nothing really, just... stuff on my mind."

Sky gently nudged him, a playful glint in his eyes. "Come on, you know you can tell me. What's bothering you?"

Nani hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's just... earlier, your manager mentioned the show, and... I don't know, I've been thinking about it."

Sky's eyes narrowed slightly, sensing the weight of Nani's words. "You don't need to worry about that. I've already turned down the interview. I know you don't like getting too much attention, more than you already have right now."

Nani turned to look at Sky, his expression thoughtful. "What if I said I want to do that show with you? Do you want to?"

Sky was caught off guard, his eyes widening in surprise. "You want to?"

Nani shrugged a little, a sheepish smile playing on his lips. "To be honest, I didn't really want to at first, but I think it's a chance to show up in the public for the first time, with you. But if you don't want to, it's okay."

Sky blinked, then suddenly cut Nani off. "Who said I don't want to?" He grinned, his voice warm and teasing.

Nani raised an eyebrow, a little taken aback. "So, you're up for it?"

"Of course," Sky said, leaning in closer. "If it's something you want to do, then I'm all in. I'll always be by your side, no matter what." He paused, a more serious tone slipping into his voice. "But only if you're ready, Nani. We'll take it slow, do this on your terms. No pressure."

Nani's heart skipped a beat at the sincerity in Sky's words. He smiled, feeling a wave of warmth. "Okay, then. Let's do it."

Sky's grin returned, bright and playful. "We're in this together. Just say the word, and I've got it all covered for you."

Nani laughed, the weight on his chest finally lifting.

"You just focus on looking cute, easy job for you," Sky teased, nudging Nani as he noticed his laughter.

Nani rolled his eyes, but his smile couldn't be hidden. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"

Sky chuckled, casually brushing his hand against Nani's. "You love it." His voice softened with affection. "But seriously, if you ever feel nervous or uncomfortable, just let me know. I'll take care of everything."

"Alright, alright. I'll let you handle all the tough stuff. You can take all the credit," Nani said, settling back against the couch, resting his head on Sky's shoulder.

"Deal," Sky murmured, the warmth in his voice clear. "Just don't forget, I'm the one with all the charm. It's going to be tough competition," he added, playfully bumping Nani's head with his own.

"I'm not worried. You can have all the spotlight. I'm fine with just being your backup," Nani replied with a grin.

Sky smiled softly, his voice tender as he spoke. "You're never just the backup, Nani. You are everything to me." He placed a gentle kiss on Nani's forehead and leaned in, brushing his cheek against Nani's hair.
