Playboy's Heart

Chapter 30

Morning

The sound of the waves drifted into the room as Nani opened the balcony door. A cool breeze touched his skin, carrying the fresh scent of the sea. He stepped outside, leaning on the railing, watching the sun slowly rise, painting the sky with soft orange and pink hues.

Nani closed his eyes for a moment, letting the calming sound of the waves help ease the tension in his chest.

Inside, Sky woke up to the same peaceful sound. He stretched, his hair tousled and his eyes still half-closed, sitting up on the bed for a minute, trying to remember what happened of the night before. Slowly, the memories came back to him. He admitted to himself that he had purposely drank more than he should have, hoping it would get Nani to soften up for him. And it had worked, perhaps?

"Morning already?" a groggy voice came from behind Nani.

Nani turned his neck slightly to see Sky standing behind him, but he quickly looked away, deliberately ignoring him. Sky, undeterred, stepped forward, trying to wrap his arms around Nani from behind, but Nani easily stepped away, avoiding the touch. Without saying a word, he walked back into the room, leaving Sky standing there.

Sky quickly followed Nani, catching up just as Nani was picking out clothes for a shower.

"Nani," Sky said, his voice soft but firm. He watched as Nani silently, Nani didn't respond, simply grabbing the towel and heading toward the bathroom.

But just as Nani about to close the door, Sky quickly stepped forward and pushed it open, walking in.

Nani's eyes widened at Sky's sudden move, His heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, he froze.

"Fine, you want to take a shower? I'll take it with you," Sky said ,stepping further without hesitation.

Nani stared at him, his face turning slightly red from both surprise and frustration. "Are you out of your mind?"

Sky simply shrugged, unfazed. "You can't keep ignoring me forever."

Nani took a deep breath, trying to regain control over the situation. "I'm not going to let you get away with this, Sky."

"Yep, that's why I am here to take it out with you." Sky said as he took out his shirt. Nani's heart raced as Sky casually began to take off his shirt, his actions unbothered and confident. The sight caught Nani off guard, and for a moment, he felt a wave of panic rush through him.

"Sky, stop!" Nani snapped.

But Sky, not deterred, stepped closer, his voice soft yet teasing. "What's the matter, Nani? You were fine ignoring me, but now you're all flustered?" Sky's playful tone only made Nani's discomfort grow.

"This isn't funny." Nani said. Normally, Sky always like a puppy around him but suddenly he change into someone bold that would do anything.

Sky stood still, watching him carefully. "It's only funny if you let it be," he said softly. "But I'm serious, Nani. You're not the only one struggling with what happened last night."

" Really? But what I see is you are happily carry her around." Nani said as what happened last night clearly in his mind.

Sky took a step closer, his voice quieter. "Nani... I'm not happy about what happened last night. I was just trying to help June. But I get it, it looked bad, and I'm sorry if it hurt you."

Nani clenched his jaw, frustration clouding his mind. "I know you didn't mean it, Sky, but it doesn't change how it looks. June... she's clearly trying something, and if you keep acting like that, she'll think she has a chance." His voice softened as he admitted, "I'm just... scared. I'm scared of losing you, idiot. Can't you see that?"

Sky's face softened at Nani's words, but before he could respond, Nani turned away. He quickly walked to the bed, wiping his tears, not wanting Sky to see them, and sat down quietly.

Sky followed him out and knelt on the floor between Nani's legs. Gently, he took Nani's hands in his own. "I'm sorry for making you feel that way," Sky said softly. "I'm sorry for being clueless and not seeing things from your side."

Nani looked at Sky, his emotions overwhelming him. He couldn't hold back his tears any longer as they spilled down his cheeks.

"All you ever do when you mess up is say sorry, but you never learn from your mistakes, idiot. " Nani said, his voice trembling. He turned away quickly, afraid that if he looked into Sky's eyes, he'd forgive him too easily.

Sky's grip on Nani's hands tightened slightly, his voice soft but firm. "You're right. I've been careless, and I've hurt you. I keep saying sorry, and I'll keep saying it, again and again, for the rest of my life if that's what it takes to show you how much I mean it."

Sky raised himself slightly, leaning in to press a gentle kiss on Nani's tear-streaked cheek. His lips lingered for a moment as if trying to erase the pain written on Nani's face. "I know words aren't enough." he murmured softly. "Please, let me prove it to you, that I'll never do anything to hurt you like that again."

Nani's breath caught at the softness in Sky's voice and touch. He didn't reply right away, his emotions all over the place. But deep down, Sky's sincerity started to break down the walls Nani had put up.

Sky pulled Nani into a tight hug, and after a moment, Nani took a deep breath before wrapping his arms around him in return. "You better keep that promise," Nani murmured. "If you ever do that again, I'll run away from you forever, idiot."

Sky pulled Nani even more closer, their bodies pressed together as they stood in the quiet of the room. Nani rested his head on Sky's shoulder, his breathing steadying as he felt the comfort of Sky's embrace, the space between them shrinking with each passing second.

Evening

Even though Nani and Sky wanted to rest, F4 had dragged them out of their room, insisting they needed some fresh air. The group was now split between the water and the shore.

Win, Bright, and Sky were splashing around in the waves, their laughter mixing with the sound of the ocean. They were carefree, enjoying the cool water as the sun dipped lower. Nani, on the other hand, was sprawled out on the bed nearby with Dew, both of them lounging lazily, content to watch their friends have fun.

Groya and Prim were busy taking playful pictures of each other, their laughter filling the air as they posed in the warm glow of the evening.

Dew, lying next to Nani, turned his head and asked with a raised eyebrow, "So, did you two make up?"

Nani hesitated for a moment, then let out a soft sigh, glancing over at Sky, who was laughing with Win and Bright. "I guess you could say we did." Nani said quietly, not wanting to make too big a deal of it. "We talked, and... it's better now."

Dew gave Nani a pointed look. "Nani, don't act like you didn't cause a storm last night. Didn't you notice that your puppy got a cut on his shoulder when he ran after you? He got caught by a tree branch."

Nani's eyebrows furrowed slightly at Dew's words, processing what he said.

Dew couldn't help but chuckle softly. "You two really are made for each other. One's slow to catch on, and the other's too sensitive about everything," he teased, shaking his head. He found it surprising, really. It was the first time he'd seen Nani lose his temper like that. Even when Nani was with Cherry, he'd never gotten this jealous.

"Don't laugh yet, Dew. Wait until it's your turn," Nani said with a teasing smile. "I'm sure Tee has a lot of admirers too, you're just not paying attention."

"Well, even if he has admirers," Dew continued, a teasing grin on his face, "Tee is quick to refuse any unnecessary attention he gets, unlike your puppy."

Nani rolled his eyes but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at his lips.

Suddenly, Sky, Win, and Bright charged at them like a bunch of playful kids. Without warning, Win and Bright grabbed Dew by the arms and legs, lifting him effortlessly into the air. Dew's yelp of surprise was barely audible before they tossed him straight into the water with a loud splash. Nani's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the chaos unfolding in front of him.

He shook his head, looking at Sky, who was already laughing. "Sky, what the heck?!" Nani started, but before he could finish, Sky just grinned mischievously and carry Nani up like he weighed nothing.

"No, no, no, Sky! I'm not going in!" Nani tried to protest, but Sky's grin only widened as he ignored him completely.

With a running start, Sky dashed toward the water, and Nani found himself suddenly airborne. "Sky! Seriously—"

And with a final laugh, Sky plunged them both into the water, causing a huge splash. As they surfaced, Nani sputtered, water dripping from his hair, but even through his mock annoyance, his eyes were bright with laughter.

"You're insufferable, you know that?" Nani said, though the grin on his face made it clear he was far from upset.

Sky just chuckled, pulling Nani closer. "You'll thank me later."
