Doubts

Playboy's Heart

Chapter 28

It was the second day since Sky had left for Phuket, and Nani had thrown himself into work to distract himself from missing him. He had barely noticed the time passing, but when he glanced up from his desk, the darkness outside his window signaled that the day had slipped away from him.

Just as he was about to check his phone, the door to his office swung open, and in walked his whole friend group,F4, a mix of laughter and chatter filling the room.

"Look who's locked in here like a workaholic," Win teased, grinning as he leaned against the doorframe.

"Yeah, come on, Nani. Even workaholics need a break." Bright added, walking in with a playful smirk on his face.

Nani raised an eyebrow at the group, his expression a mix of surprise and amusement. "What are you all doing here?"

Groya, always quick with her words, replied. "Well, your puppy's worried about you. He called and asked us to check on you."

Nani let out a small laugh, shaking his head. "Sky? He really doesn't need to worry about me. I'm fine."

Prim, who stood beside Groya with a playful smile, added, "How did you survive an entire year in London, but can't handle a few days without Sky here?"

"Because it's not the same," Nani mumbled, though he didn't say it too loudly.

Dew, who had been quietly watching the exchange, leaned forward with a teasing grin. "Well, I see why your meals are still sitting on the table untouched. Doesn't seem like someone who's doing fine."

Nani froze, his gaze shifting to the desk where his lunch sat, barely touched, now cold and forgotten. He hadn't even noticed.

"Okay, okay," Nani finally relented, giving a small sigh.

Nani grabbed his jacket. "Alright,Let's go."

As they left the office, Nani couldn't help but smile at the way his friends had all come together. They knew him too well, especially when it came to how much he missed Sky.

The group settled into their seats at the restaurant, laughter and light conversation filling the air. Nani sat at the table, trying to unwind from the long day of work. Groya and Prim, sitting across from him.

Prim, pulling out her phone and scrolled through Instagram. She saw a recent story from June one that had caught her eye. With a glance at Groya, she tapped on the post, showing a group photo where Sky stood, smiling, but with June far too close to him. She was practically leaning into Sky, holding his hand tightly as if they were a couple.

Groya raised an eyebrow and whispered, "Looks like June's getting a little too comfortable."

Groya met Prim's eyes. "Do you think we're on the same page here?"

Prim nodded. They both shared the same concern. June might be crossing boundaries with Sky.

"We need to show Nani this, seem like June wants to steal Nani's puppy. But we need to do it in a way that doesn't make it too obvious." Groya whisper.

With a quiet plan in mind, Groya and Prim subtly moved their phones closer to Nani's side of the table, pretending to casually drop Prim's phone next to him. Nani, who was busy fiddling with his napkin, picked up the phone without thinking, instinctively reaching down to hand it back to Prim. He froze, though, when he saw the screen-Sky and June, side by side in that picture.

Groya and Prim watched him closely, trying to gauge his reaction as Nani stared at the photo.

"Sorry," Nani murmured, handing the phone back to Prim. "Didn't mean to pry."

Prim smiled sweetly, hiding the smirk behind her sip of water. "No problem. I was just checking something."

Nani nodded, but his mind was already racing. The way June had stood so close to Sky, holding his hand like that, it didn't sit right with him. He tried to brush it off, telling himself it was just a friendly photo, but something gnawed at him in the back of his mind.

As the meal continued, Nani seemed lost in thought, his mind still preoccupied with the image of Sky and June. Groya, noticing his distracted state, leaned in to whisper something to Prim. Prim listened carefully and nodded slowly in response.

Prim then turned to Win with a slight pout, sliding her hand around his. "P Win, I want to go to Phuket too. Can we go tomorrow?"

Win, caught off guard by her sudden request, blinked in confusion. "Phuket? But why so suddenly?"

Prim smiled sweetly, her eyes sparkling. "Please? It'll be fun. I promise."

Groya, watching them closely, subtly signaled Dew to play along and help encourage the idea. Dew, noticing that Groya had pointed toward Nani, seemed to understand that something related to Sky and Nani was on the horizon. Without asking any more questions, Dew chimed in, helping Prim persuade everyone.

"Why not? A quick trip to Phuket could be nice for all of us," Dew added casually, his eyes shifting to Nani for a brief moment.

Nani, still lost in thought, barely noticed the growing plans around him. He remained quiet.

"Nani, would you like to come too? Since Sky's already in Phuket for his class trip, we could ask him to join us once he's free."

Dew, not missing a beat, nodded with a smile. "Yeah, it could be fun. Why not join? We can all hang out together."

Groya gave him a knowing look. "Come on, Nani. A little trip with friends, some fresh air. It'll be good for you."

Prim leaned toward Win, her voice soft as she whispered something in his ear. Win chuckled quietly and nodded, then turned his attention to Nani.

"Nani, it's not easy for Prim to get a break from her acting work. Just think of it as a quick rest for her." Win said.

Nani looked at them both. It was true that Prim was often too busy with her acting career to join group trips. "Alright, fine. I'll come along."

Groya and Prim suddenly shared a high-five, making Nani raise an eyebrow in confusion.

Nani when he saw the photo :
