Unspoken Promises
Playboy's Heart
Chapter 19
The day had finally arrived, the F4 gang's graduation. The university was alive with excitement, a sea of proud families and friends gathering to celebrate this special milestone. Unsurprisingly, a large crowd had also gathered, hoping to catch a glimpse of the famous F4.
"Four years went by too fast. I need more timeâI'm not ready to work yet!" Win whined dramatically, drawing laughter from the group. Of course, everyone knew he didn't really have to start working immediately. His real challenge would be stepping into his father's shoes as the next-generation leader of their family business.
"Why not continue with a Master's degree?" Dew suggested casually, his voice calm as always. He had already planned to pursue one himself, and the idea seemed to fit naturally with his quiet, studious nature.
Bright smiled, leaning back with a playful glint in his eye. "Dew, not everyone has your love for studying." he said teasingly, his tone gentle. His words weren't meant to dismiss the idea but to remind Dew that not everyone found comfort in books the way he did.
Nani, meanwhile, stood a little apart, his attention focused entirely on his phone. He scrolled absentmindedly, but the way he kept checking his screen betrayed his growing impatience. Sky still hadn't arrived, and it was clear that Nani's thoughts were with him.
Sky still had one more year to go, and Nani couldn't help but feel a pang of worry. They didn't get to spend as much time together as they used to, especially now that Mr. Nirav had asked Nani to oversee work abroad for a while.
The thought lingered heavily in Nani's mind. He knew the day would come when he'd have to fully step into his role, taking on the responsibilities his father had prepared for him. But right now, all he wanted was to hold on to these moments with Sky.
Every glance, every laugh, every second they spent together felt like a small treasure to Nani, something to hold close to his heart. He wanted to soak in Sky's warmth, his bright presence. These moments, Nani knew, would be the memories that carried him through the times they were apart.
But no matter how far his responsibilities pulled him away, Nani had made a quiet promise to himself, a promise he would never break. No matter what, he would always come back to Sky, to the person who felt like home.
Sky arrived quietly, a bouquet of flowers in his arms. His steps slowed as he approached. Groya was about to call out, but Sky quickly brought a finger to his lips, silently asking them to stay quiet.
He moved closer, his steps as gentle as his intentions, and without a word, he wrapped his arms around Nani from behind.
Nani tensed for just a moment, caught off guard by the unexpected embrace, but then he relaxed and slowly turned to face Sky.
Sky, his smile still bright and warm, gently held out the bouquet of flowers to Nani. "Happy graduation, na khub." he said softly.
Nani let out a small laugh, his heart lightening as he accepted the bouquet from Sky. The gesture, so simple yet filled with so much meaning, made him feel like he was being wrapped in love and care.
Tee, always quick with his camera, didn't miss a beat. With a soft click, he captured the moment, his eyes bright with the joy of being able to preserve such a sweet memory for the F4 gang.
Dew, watching from the side, couldn't help but laugh at Tee's eagerness, his heart lightened by the scene unfolding before him.
"Okay, okay, we get it." Win teased, his voice soft with affection, though his playful smirk hinted at his usual teasing nature. "You're the only one in Sky's heart."
The group chuckled, the playful banter filling the air with a warmth that only came from years of friendship. Win, always the one to gently steer everyone forward, smiled at the moment. "Alright, let's get a picture of all of us together, before this moment slips away," he suggested, his tone tender, wanting to preserve the memory of their togetherness.
As the gang gathered around, smiles soft and eyes full of love for each other, the moment felt almost timeless. It was a reminder of the love and friendship that had held them together through the years, those simple, precious moments that meant everything.
The F4 gang and their classmates were celebrating at Nani's club, the atmosphere buzzing with excitement and laughter. The night had carried them into a carefree whirlwind, and they were having a little bit too much fun.
Dew and Tee sat in a quieter corner, deep in conversation about their upcoming plans to go to Japan. Dew's eyes, though usually calm, were bright with excitement, his focus so intense it seemed like he was trying to capture every detail of the moment with Tee.
Meanwhile, Win and Prim, along with Groya and Bright, were in the midst of a lively game, drinks flowing as if there was no tomorrow. Laughter and playful shouts filled the air, but it was all in good fun.
Sky and Nani, however, had found a quieter space beside each other. Nani, feeling the exhaustion of the day, shifted uncomfortably in his seat. His body ached from all the walking and excitement, and the weariness had finally caught up with him.
Sky noticed the subtle shift in Nani's posture, without a word, Sky gently reached out, guided Nani's head to rest on his shoulder, offering him a quiet, safe space to unwind.
Nani's body, heavy with the weight of the day, relaxed into the gesture. Sky's hand, warm and steady, slowly slid down to Nani's waist, pulling him closer. Nani melted further into the embrace, his head resting more comfortably on Sky's shoulder.
"Sky, I have something to tell you," Nani said, his voice softer than usual, as if carrying a weight he hadn't quite been ready to share.
Sky, sensing the seriousness in Nani's tone, simply nodded gently, giving him his full attention. "Hmm," he responded, his voice calm, ready to listen.
"I have to go to London for a while until everything there settles down." Nani continued, the words lingering in the air as he watched Sky's reaction closely.
Sky, ever steady, nodded, his expression softening. "I already know," he replied quietly. "P Win told me."
Nani let out a small breath, his eyelids fluttering shut for a moment as he tried to calm the storm of thoughts in his mind. "Every single time... he's the one who spills everything before I get the courage to tell you."
Sky chuckled lightly, his voice a soothing melody. Sky leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on Nani's cheek. "It's okay." he said with a smile that was both tender and reassuring. "As long as you still love me, you can go anywhere you want. I trust you."
"Don't have too much confidence, puppy," Nani said with a small, teasing smile, still resting his head comfortably on Sky's shoulder.
Sky smiled as he said "I don't need to have much confidence, it's just the fact that you love me. Admit that."
Nani chuckled, his voice playful but with a quiet seriousness beneath. "And if I do, do you love me back?"
Sky paused for a moment, sensing the change in Nani's tone. The playful edge had softened, replaced by something deeper, something meaningful. His heart fluttered at the sincerity in Nani's voice.
"I do." Sky replied, his voice steady but full of warmth. "I have always loved you, Nani."
Nani's smile faded into a more thoughtful expression as he took a deep breath. "Then... are you interested in marrying me after I come back?"
Sky blinked in surprise, his mind racing for a moment. "Ha?" he said, his eyes widening with shock.
Nani, calm but with a nervous excitement, gently pulled a small, luxurious box from his pocket. Sky's breath caught in his throat as Nani opened it to reveal a beautiful couple's ring, shimmering softly in the light.
The air between them seemed to still for a moment, the weight of the question sinking in. Sky's mouth went dry as he tried to process what was happening. His thoughts scattered, and all he could do was stare at Nani in stunned silence, his emotions rising higher with every passing second.
"Nani... this..." Sky whispered, his voice trembling, unsure if he was even dreaming. "Are you serious?"
Nani's eyes softened with affection, his lips curving into a small, reassuring smile. "I wouldn't ask if I wasn't, idiot."
In that moment, Sky's mind caught up with his feelings, and the realization hit him like a wave. his voice thick with emotion. "of course I will. I love you more than anything."
A burst of laughter, pure and filled with joy, escaped Nani's lips, and before he could say anything more, Sky pulled him into a tight embrace, lifting him slightly off the ground as if the moment could carry him away with it. The room around them faded completely, and for a brief second, it was just the two of them, tangled in their happiness.
Sky, with a wide grin on his face, gently cupped Nani's face, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "You've made me the happiest person in the world," he whispered, his voice full of wonder.
Nani grinned back, the excitement still bubbling inside of him. "And I plan to keep you that way, puppy."
Win lifted his head, hearing Nani's laugh, but he didn't realize what had just happened. "Both of you, get a room," he teased, grinning. Win had no idea that, right in front of him, his friend had just proposed.
The room burst into laughter at Win's playful remark, the cheerful energy filling the air. In the midst of it all, no one seemed to notice the quiet, tender moment between Sky and Nani or the sparkling couple's ring now resting on their fingers. The ring, was a promise that keep close to their hearts.
