When Fury Breaks
Playboy's Heart
Chapter 11
Sky's class had to prepare for another performance, and the announcement was met with collective groans. Everyone felt it was too soon, as there seemed to have been too many performances lately. Since the plot focused on friendship, the main roles were designated for two male leads.
The class decided to vote for the main leads, and once again, Sky was chosen for one of the main roles. It wasn't a surpriseâeveryone in the class agreed that Sky deserved it. With his talent and natural charisma, he was the perfect fit for the role.
But one of his classmates, who had also been voted into a main role, was making a big fuss about it. He refused to perform alongside Sky, his frustration.
"It's so annoying!" the classmate complained loudly, arms crossed in defiance. "Sky always gets the main role, every single time. Why can't someone else have the spotlight for once?"
"What do you mean by that?" Song snapped, stepping forward with her arms crossed, her fiery gaze fixed on the complaining classmate. "Sky got the role because of the vote. Everyone wants him in the spotlight. What's your problem? Jealous ?"
The room fell silent as Song's voice rang out, her hot-tempered personality on full display. She didn't care about the stares or whispers from the others. If someone messed with her friend, she wasn't going to stand by quietly.
The classmate glared at her but didn't respond immediately, clearly taken aback by Song's boldness. "It's not about jealousy," he replied, but there was a strong defiance in his tone.
"Then what is it?" Song shot back, refusing to back down. "Because from where I'm standing, it sounds like you can't handle the fact that Sky's talented, hardworking, andâoh yeahâactually liked by everyone here."
"Song, it's okay," Sky said softly, tugging on her sleeve, trying to pull her back.
But Song wasn't having it. She shook off his hand and stepped closer to the guy. "No, it's not fine, Sky. You worked hard for this, and you deserve it. I'm not going to let some jerk ruin this for you."
The guy's face darkened with anger, his fists clenched at his sides. "What did you just call me?"
"Jerk," Song repeated without hesitation, her voice sharp. "What are you gonna do about it?"
Without warning, the guy raised his hand and slapped Song hard across the face. The sharp sound of the slap echoed through the room, silencing everyone as they stared in shock.
Sky froze for a split second, his eyes wide with disbelief, before his body moved on instinct. his fist colliding with the guy's jaw. The punch sent the guy reeling backward, collapsing onto the floor.
But Sky didn't stop there. Fueled by rage, he threw himself on top of the guy, delivering punch after punch, his usual calm and cheerful demeanor replaced by an intensity no one had ever seen before. The guy fought back, throwing punches of his own as they grappled on the floor, the clash quickly escalating into a full-blown fight.
The classroom erupted into chaos as their classmates rushed to intervene. Several students grabbed Sky by the arms, pulling him away with difficulty. He struggled against their grip, his breathing ragged and his fists still clenched tightly.
The guy lay on the floor, groaning in pain, blood dripping from his nose. He looked up at Sky with a mixture of fear and disbelief.
"Don't you ever touch her again," Sky growled, his voice low and filled with barely contained fury.
"Sky, enough!" one of their classmates shouted, holding him firmly.
Sky's chest heaved as he tried to calm down, his glare never leaving the guy on the floor. The room buzzed with whispers and stunned silence, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife.
He turned to Song, his expression softening. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice shaky.
"I am not okay," Song replied firmly, her voice carrying an edge of determination. Without hesitation, sheâ walked toward the guy, who was just getting up with the help of their classmates, his face already covered in blood from Sky's punches.
Before anyone could react, Song threw a punch of her own, landing it squarely on the guy's face. The force sent him collapsing back to the ground with a groan.
"If you ever touch me or Sky again," Song said, her voice cold and unwavering, "you're going to meet the god of hell for sure."
The room went silent, stunned by her fiery resolve. No one dared to intervene as she turned on her heel and walked back to Sky. She grabbed her bag and Sky's bag with a huff.
"Come on, let's go," she said sharply, tugging at his sleeve.
Sky followed her out of the classroom. The tension in the room lingered long after they left, leaving their classmates in stunned silence.
Nurse office
Song insisted she was okay, brushing off Sky's concerns, but Sky wasn't having any of it. Despite her words, he gently took her by the arm and guided her to the nurse's office.
"Sit down here," the nurse instructed, pulling out an ice pack and handing it to Song. "Hold this against your cheek to reduce the swelling."
Song complied, still trying to act tough, but the pain in her eyes betrayed her calm exterior. Sky watched her for a moment, his concern obvious, before he noticed the nurse's eyes shift to him.
She raised an eyebrow as she examined his face, then his hands. A dark bruise was already forming on his jaw, and his knuckles were scraped and bleeding from the fight. "What did you two get yourselves into?" she asked, her tone a mix of curiosity and mild concern as she began to dress Sky's wounds.
She didn't push any further since none of them said anything, simply finishing up the treatment. "Just make sure you both take it easy for the rest of the day, alright? You don't need to be getting yourselves into more trouble."
Sky nodded, though his thoughts were elsewhere.
As the nurse finished up, he turned to Song, his eyes softening. "You okay?" he asked again, his voice unusually gentle.
Song gave him a small, tired smile. "I'm fine, Sky. Really."
As they walked out of the nurse's office in the hallway, Sky's voice was low, but his words were sharp, cutting through the air with a rare edge to them. "Next time, don't waste time talking with that asshole again."
Song glanced at him, surprised by the fierceness in his tone. Sky was always so easygoing, so lighthearted, but this side of him, this protective, angry sideâwas something she wasn't used to.
"Then what did you expect to do when that jerk said something like that about you?" Song began, her voice edged with frustration.
"I don't care," he said, his eyes focused ahead as they walked down the hallway, his tone firm and unyielding. "He had no right to touch you like that. You shouldn't have even been near him."
"Okay, okay," Song replied, "I won't cause any problems again. But look at you," she added with a light laugh, her eyes glinting with amusement as she glanced at Sky. "I'm not the only one who needs to control my anger."
Song laughed again, her tone teasing. "I've never seen you this angry before. You were ready to punch his lights out. For you to get that worked up over someone else... I'm kind of impressed, actually."
"Song, it's not funny," Sky said, his voice tight with frustration. "He slapped you. Just talking about it makes me angry. I should've punched him until he passed out." His frustration was clear, but the way he expressed itâexaggerated, with a hint of humor.
Song raised an eyebrow, still grinning. "Sky, you're making it sound like you'd actually do that."
Sky looked at Song, his expression now serious, his determination clear in his eyes. "Of course, I would do that if I could."
As Sky and Song continued their conversation, the sound of footsteps echoed down the hallway. Nani and his friends, the F4 gang, were also walking in the same direction. Nani spotted Sky from afar, Without a word, he started making his way toward Sky, a smile on his lips.
But Sky, noticing Nani's approach, froze for a split second. The last thing he wanted was for Nani to see him in this condition, bruised and battered from the fight. His eyes quickly darted over to Song, and before she could react, he grabbed her hand to run away with him.
Nani stopped his step when he saw Sky running away. F4 paused behind him, equally puzzled by what they had just saw. They exchanged glances, each of them sensing something was going on.
Win, ever the one to tease, raised an eyebrow at Nani. "Nani, did you flirt with other people again?"
Nani smacked him on the head. "What is going on in your head?" he snapped, the frustration clear in his voice.
Win rubbed his head, unfazed by the smack. "I'm just asking," he shrugged, his tone casual. "If you've been flirting around again, it might explain why Sky started avoiding you. He looked like he was running from you back there."
"I didn't do anything, idiot. Why does he have to be avoiding me?" Nani snapped, clearly frustrated.
"But It looked like he is." Groya
Before anyone could say anything else, Prim, who had been looking at her phone, her eyes widening as she saw a video of Sky got into fight that go viral on the University group. Her fingers quickly tapped the screen, and she let out a small gasp.
"Nani," she said, a sharp edge in her voice as she turned towards him. "You might want to see this."
She quickly showed him the video, which clearly showed Sky in the middle of a fight, his face twisted in anger as he threw punches. The chaos of the scene played out on the screen, and Nani's heart skipped a beat as he watched Sky get punched by that guy.
"Why the hell would Sky get into a fight like that?" Nani's voice was tight, frustration quickly turning to concern as he watched the video, his eyes scanning the footage of Sky throwing punches. The image of Sky, usually so calm, now consumed with anger, made his chest tighten.
"God, Sky has this bad side, too," Win muttered under his breath, his expression darkening.
Nani took out his phone, his fingers gripped the phone harder to called Sky as he watch into the direction that Sky was running to. The phone rang once, then twice, but Sky didn't pick up.
"F*ck, he doesn't pick up," Nani muttered, his jaw clenched in frustration as he hit the call button again.
His friends watched in silence, sensing the shift in Nani's mood. He was no longer just angryâthere was an edge of worry in his voice now, the kind that only appeared when something really mattered to him.
Nani swore under his breath, his frustration clearly mounting. He quickly switched to another call, dialling his men. when the familiar voice of his associate finally answered, Nani stepped away from his friends, walking a few paces down the hallway to talking. F4 exchanged wary glances, knowing that Nani's frustration could easily get out of hand. The tension was thick, and they all understood that if Nani wanted to take this matter into his own hands, there will be no mercy.
Groya, sensing the growing danger, turned to the rest of the gang. "Bright, go with Nani. I'm scared he's going to handle that guy too hard." Her voice was full of concern, her eyes tracking Nani as he spoke to his man on the phone, his expression darkening with every passing second.
Dew, standing off to the side, glanced at Groya and then at Win. "You and Prim go home first. We'll go with Nani," he said calmly.
"Yeah," Win added, his tone more serious now. "Don't worry, we will make sure things don't get too out of hand."
"Alright. Just... be careful. I don't want anyone getting hurt." She turned to Prim, who was watching the situation unfold with a concerned look on her face. "Let's go."
As Groya and Prim walked off in the opposite direction, Dew, Win, and Bright off after Nani, knowing that Nani's not going to handle this lightly.
Nani and his men arrived at one of the bars around campus, His men had already done their part, tracking down the guy who had laid a hand on Sky. With a single word from Nani, his man had pinpointed his location in minutes. It wasn't hard for them to find himâNani's connections in the underground world ran deep, and the guy wasn't hiding well.
Nani's family wasn't just wealthyâthey were a cornerstone of the underground world, their influence stretching from the darkest corners of society to the most exclusive, high-stakes dealings. Nani's family didn't operate in the daylight like Win's family that has a deep connection with royal family power, but they controlled things from the shadows.
Nani's father, the head of the family, had built an empire on secrecy, loyalty, and ruthlessness. The blood that ran through Nani's veins wasn't just the blood of a wealthy heirâit was the blood of someone who had seen the underworld's ugliest sides and been groomed for it. Nani's mother tried her best to keep her children out of those dark thing, but seem like today Nani gonna walk through his father footstep once in a while for protecting those he cared aboutâlike Skyâhe would never hesitate to wield the power his family had built, Nani would do whatever it took to protect what was his.
As Nani stepped through the door, the subtle but unmistakable air of danger that followed him seemed to ripple through the room. People stiffened, lowering their heads or pretending not to notice him. The bar's owner, a man who had been in the business for years, saw Nani's arrival and immediately dropped tried to welcome Nani but one of Nani's man stopped him.
When Nani spotted the man who had hurt Sky, he stopped in front of him. The man, sitting at the far end of the bar, slowly lifted his face to meet Nani's gaze. As soon as their eyes locked, the color drained from the man's face. His hand trembled around his drink, unsure of what to do, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of why Nani was standing in front of him.
He didn't know exactly why Nani was here, but he knew enough to understand that it wasn't going to be good for him.
Without hesitation, Nani reached forward, his fingers wrapping around the neck of the beer bottle. In one swift motion, he slammed the bottle against the corner of the table, shattering it. The sharp shards glinted in the dim light, the jagged edges now forming a deadly weapon in Nani's hand.
The man's eyes widened in shock, his throat tightening as the realization hit himâthis wasn't a confrontation. This was a warning.
Nani's face was cold, his eyes hard as stone, a dangerous calmness in his expression that made the air feel even heavier. "You think you can put your hands on Sky and walk away from it?" His voice was low, controlled.
The man swallowed hard, his throat dry as he tried to speak, but the words caught in his mouth. He knew better than to try and talk his way out of this. Nani didn't give second chances, not when it came to those who crossed him or anyone in his circle.
Nani pressed the jagged edge of the broken bottle against the man's neck, just enough to make him feel the cold steel, the threat of what could come next. The man froze, his pulse hammering in his ears as the silence in the bar deepened, the tension so thick it could be cut with a knife.
"I don't care who you are," Nani continued, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "You lay a hand on someone important to me again, and this will be the last place you ever see."
At the back of the bar, Win, Bright, and Dew stood near Nani's men, watching from afar as the tension unfolded. They were quiet, their eyes glued to the scene in front of them, each processing it in their own way.
"I know that Nani would take after uncle someday," Bright whispered to Dew and Win, his voice low, "but I never imagined he'd be this... you know, heartless."
Dew let out a small sigh, his expression thoughtful. "Aunt Hari always tried to keep him out of those things, but it seems like today, Nani's reached his limit."
They'd all seen Nani angry before, but this was something else entirely.
Finally, Nani lowered the bottle, shoving it down onto the table with enough force to make the man flinch. "You'll stay away from Sky," Nani said, his tone still cold, "or next time, I won't be so nice."
Without waiting for a response, Nani turned on his heel, ready to leave the bar. But as he walked, the image of the man throwing multiple punches at Sky replayed in his mind, each hit more vivid than the last. The thought made Nani's blood boil, his hands twitching at his sides as the anger surged again.
Without thinking, he grabbed the iron rod from one of his men, his grip tightening around the cold metal as he turned back toward the man. His men exchanged uneasy glances, knowing what was about to happen.
The man, still recovering from Nani's earlier threat, barely had time to react. He looked up just as Nani closed the distance between them, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. Before he could even raise his hands in defense, Nani swung the iron rod with all his strenght.
The sound of metal crashing into flesh echoed through the bar as the rod connected with the man's side, sending him sprawling to the ground with a heavy thud. The force of the blow was enough to knock the breath out of him, his body slamming into the floor with such impact that the room seemed to shake.
"Next time," Nani's voice was cold, his words dripping with venom as he loomed over the man, " don't even think about touching Sky."
The man groaned, gasping for air as he tried to scramble to his feet, his body aching from the brutal strike. But Nani didn't move, standing tall, the iron rod still clenched tightly in his hand.
"Get up," Nani ordered, his eyes unwavering, cold as ice. The man hesitated, his fear palpable, but Nani's glare was enough to force him to his knees.
"You lay another finger on him," Nani continued, voice low and threatening, "and I won't just knock you out. I'll make sure you never see daylight again." Once again, Nani struck the man with the iron rod until he fell back to the floor.
With a final, cold look, Nani turned on his heel again, his men falling in step behind him. That guy, still lying on the floor, was left in stunned silence. His body ached, his pride shattered, as he realized just how close he had come to crossing a line that no one dared to cross.
As Nani and his men left the bar, the room was left in a stunned, tense silence. No one dared speak, and the weight of what had just happened hung in the air, a reminder of the lengths Nani would go to when someone he cared about was threatened.
