Chapter 11

I am not jealous.

Playboy's Heart

Chapter 8

Nani came outside of the room but he couldn't find PP and Billken. As he walk toward the kitchen, there is a meal already prepare and a note.

"We are leaving. Please take good care of our puppy boy." PP and Billken

Nani take a look at the meal on the table again, a bowl of soup still steaming slightly,  toasted sandwich, and a neatly folded napkin. It was so like them to ensure everything was just right, even when they weren't around.

Nani leaned against the counter, running a hand through his hair. "Puppy boy, huh?" he muttered under his breath, thinking about Sky. The nickname was fitting, too fitting. Sky was like a bundle of sunshine, impossible not to notice and even harder to ignore.

It seemed like his worry was for nothing. Sky wasn't just some helpless "puppy boy." There were so many people around Sky who cared about him , his friend and even his coworker at Nadao Bangkok.

"Guess I'm just one of many," he muttered with a small, self-deprecating smile.

Still, a part of him couldn't shake the thought that he wanted to be more than just one of the many people who cared about Sky. And maybe, just maybe, he already was.

"Alright, puppy boy," Nani said, a faint smirk forming on his lips as he pushed off the counter. "Let's see what kind of trouble you'll get into tonight."

Nani decided he would stay over tonight, even though the room's owner hadn't given him permission yet.

Throwing his arms behind his head, Nani closed his eyes with a smug grin. "He'll thank me later. If he doesn't kick me out first."

Middle of the night

Sky woke up, feeling something warm wrapped around his body. As his eyes fluttered open, he saw Nani gently wiping him down with a warm towel.

Sky blinked a few times, his mind still hazy from sleep.

"N-Nani?" Sky's voice was soft, a mix of surprise and uncertainty.

"Finally awake," Nani muttered, not pausing his careful movements. "You had a slight fever. Figured I'd do something before it got worse."

Sky tried to sit up, but Nani pressed a hand gently against his shoulder, stopping him. "Stay put. You need rest."

"You didn't have to..." Sky began, his words trailing off as Nani raised an eyebrow.

"Didn't have to what? Stay over? Take care of you?" Nani smirked, but it lacked his usual teasing edge. "You'd probably do the same for me, puppy."

Sky's lips parted, but he couldn't find the words to respond. Instead, he watched as Nani wrung out the towel and folded it neatly.

"You're not as invincible as you look, you know," Nani added, his tone softer now. "Take it easy for once. I've got you." Sky found himself nodding quietly

For a moment, Sky could only stare at him, unable to help the way his heart started beating faster and faster.

"Go back to sleep; it's still midnight," Nani said softly, adjusting the blanket over Sky with careful.

Sky hesitated, his voice barely above a whisper. "What about you? Where will you sleep?"

Nani smirked faintly, leaning back. "Don't worry about me."

Sky adjusted himself, scooting over to make space on the mattress. Without a word, he patted the empty spot beside him, signaling for Nani to sleep beside him.

Nani raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "What are you doing?" he asked, his tone half-teasing, even though he already knew exactly what Sky meant.

Sky pouted slightly,  his expression  show stubbornness. "I'm just being nice" he mumbled.

Nani chuckled at the reaction, shaking his head. "Fine," he muttered, trying to mask the hint of warmth he felt with his usual nonchalance. He slid onto the bed beside Sky, the mattress dipping slightly under his weight. "But if you kick me in your sleep, I'm leaving."

Sky huffed softly, adjusting the blanket to Nani as he turned to face toward Nani. "I won't." he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Can I hug you?" Sky asked softly, his gaze lingering on Nani.

Nani turned his head slightly, meeting Sky's eyes. His words came out sharp, but his actions betrayed him. "Just do whatever you want, idiot."

Before the words had even fully left his mouth, Nani leaned forward, closing the small gap between them.

Sky didn't hesitate, wrapping his arms gently around Nani. The warmth of the embrace felt comforting, and for a moment, neither of them said a word.

Nani sighed, pretending to sound annoyed, though the faint flush on his neck gave him away. "You're so clingy when you're sick."

Sky chuckled softly "Maybe. But you don't seem to mind."

Nani didn't reply, but the way his arms subtly tightened around Sky said more than words ever could.

Morning

Nani awake, and he blinked a few times, trying to shake off the lingering sleepiness. He looked over at Sky, still deeply asleep beside him, his breathing slow and steady.

Nani sighed quietly, careful not to make any sudden movements. He slowly began to shift off the bed, mindful of not disturbing Sky. he doesn't want  to wake him up, especially not when Sky looked so peaceful, curled up like that.

But Sky mumbled softly as he stirred, his eyelids fluttering open for just a moment before closing again. His body shifted slightly under the blanket, clearly reluctant to leave the warmth and comfort of the bed.

"Mm... what time is it?" he muttered, his voice still heavy with sleep.

"Don't wanna get up yet," he murmured, his tone somewhere between a whine and a plea.

Nani sighed, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Nobody's asking you to. Stay in bed and rest."

Sky cracked one eye open, his gaze lazily landing on Nani. "You're still here? You don't have class in the morning?" he asked, his voice soft and laced with surprise, though there was a hint of comfort in it.

" Nobody go to class on weekend." Nani replied with a slight roll of his eyes, leaning closer as he glanced at Sky. "Relax. I'm not ditching anything to be here."

Sky blinked slowly, his drowsy mind taking a moment to register Nani's words. "Oh... weekend." He yawned and buried his face in the pillow for a second before looking back at Nani, a faint smile forming on his lips. "Guess that means I get to keep you here longer."

Nani raised an eyebrow, trying to keep his expression neutral, but the corners of his mouth twitched upward. "Keep me here? You're acting like I don't have a choice."

Sky chuckled softly, his voice muffled as he pressed his face into the pillow again. "You don't."

Nani shook his head, muttering under his breath, "Clingy idiot," but the warmth in his tone betrayed him. He grabbed the edge of the blanket and adjusted it slightly, making sure Sky was fully covered. "Go back to sleep before you say something else embarrassing."

Sky's sleepy laughter was the only reply, and within moments, his breathing evened out again, leaving Nani to shake his head with a quiet smile.

After a while, Nani come out of the room to make some breakfast for Sky. When he about finish cooking, there is sudden knoke.

Nani opened the door to find Song, Jame, and June standing in front of him, each holding containers full of food and fruit. He glanced at them with a mix of confusion and surprise.

Song and Jame exchanged quick looks before Song spoke up. "We're friends of Sky. And I'm guessing you're the one taking care of him today?"

Nani raised an eyebrow, trying to piece everything together. He didn't recognize them, but it was clear they knew him. "You're friends with Sky?"

Song smiled, giving a small shrug. " But we know about you, don't worry."

June, who had been standing quietly beside them, smiled at Nani. "We've met before, Nani," she said, her tone friendly but not overly familiar.

Nani nodded, finally placing her. "Yeah, I remember." How could he forget? The person who had kissed Sky on stage that day—the one moment he hadn't been able to shake off.

Nani stepped aside, gesturing for them to come in. "Sky hasn't woken up yet. Don't wake him up," he said.

Song and Jame exchanged knowing glances, but both nodded without a word, stepping into the room quietly. June smiled warmly at Nani, her eyes flicking to the room where Sky lay inside. "Looks like he's getting the rest he needs," she said softly.

Nani finished everything as they placed the food on the table. His mind was still on that kiss, but he kept his expression neutral, hiding his thoughts as best as he could.

Nani walk back into the room.

"Song, I know Sky is close with F4," June began, her tone light but curious. "But I didn't know he was so close with Nani."

Song and Jame exchanged an awkward glance, clearly unsure how to respond. The question hung in the air, and the unspoken complexities of Sky and Nani's relationship seemed to weigh on them both.

"Well..." Song started, scratching the back of his neck. "It's, uh, kind of complicated."

Jame nodded "Yeah, you could say that."

June raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by their reactions. "Complicated how?" she pressed, her curiosity growing. "I mean, they look... close. But there's a story here, isn't there?"

Song chuckled nervously, glancing toward the door as if hoping Nani wouldn't overhear. "Let's just say they have... their moments."

Jame quickly added, "And we're not exactly sure how to explain it. You'd have to see it for yourself."

June tilted her head, a playful smile tugging at her lips, though deep down, a flicker of disappointment sparked within her. "Hmm, now I'm really curious. I'll have to ask Sky when he wakes up."

"Sky, wake up, breakfast is ready." Nani patted Sky gently on the shoulder, his voice softer than usual.

Sky stirred under the blanket, his messy hair peeking out. With a small groan, he mumbled, "Five more minutes, Nani..." and tried to pull the blanket back over his head.

Nani chuckled, shaking his head. "Come on,I even made your favorite—pancakes with strawberries. And your friends are here."

Sky blinked awake, the mention of his friends pulling him out of his drowsy state. He sat up, rubbing his eyes with a confused frown. "Friends?"

Nani crossed his arms "Yep, They brought food, and they're in the living room right now."

Sky groaned, running a hand through his messy hair. "Ugh, why didn't you tell me earlier? I look like a disaster!"

Nani smirked, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Relax, puppy boy. You always look fine to them. But if it bothers you, I'll stall them while you fix up."

Sky huffed, throwing off the blanket and shuffling to the bathroom. "Thanks... but don't let them eat pancakes!"

Nani chuckled as Sky closed the door, walking back toward the living room.

As Sky joined his friends at the table, the room filled with laughter and lighthearted banter. June was seated right next to Sky. They exchanged a few inside jokes, and Sky's bright laughter echoed in the small space.

Nani sit on the couch since he want to leave some space for them. His expression remained neutral, but inside, a storm was brewing.

Nani hated the way he was feeling right now—a tight knot of jealousy twisting in his chest. Sky had already made it clear that he and June were just friends, but that didn't seem to help.

Why did it bother him so much?

He hated how natural it looked—the way June slid into Sky's world as if she belonged there. The way Sky's eyes lit up when she spoke, the soft, easy tone he used with her.

June laugh as she placed a hand lightly on Sky's arm,

That simple gesture, the way her hand lingered on Sky's arm, made something snap inside Nani. He clenched his fists, his jaw tightening as he looked away.

Nani took a deep breath. Get a grip, he thought to himself. Jealousy didn't suit him, and he wasn't about to let it control him now.

Later, after everyone had left, the apartment was quiet again. Nani stood by the sink, washing the dishes with slow, deliberate movements. He didn't look up when Sky entered the kitchen, but he could feel his presence.

"Nani," Sky said softly, stepping closer. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Nani replied, his voice clipped.

Sky sighed, moving to stand beside him. "Don't lie to me. You've been off all morning."

Nani paused, his hands stilling in the soapy water. "It's nothing you need to worry about, puppy boy. Go rest."

Sky frowned, crossing his arms. "Don't call me that when you're upset. Talk to me, Nani."

The frustration bubbled over before Nani could stop it. "Why don't you go talk to June instead? You two seem to get along great."

Sky's eyes widened in surprise, and turn into soft laugh instead.

Sky's soft laugh filled the space between them, light and teasing. "Someone is jealous, again," he said, his tone playful as he leaned closer to get a better look at Nani's expression.

Nani froze, his jaw tightening. He turned his head slightly, shooting Sky a sharp look. "Jealous? Don't flatter yourself, puppy boy."

Sky's grin only widened, his teasing energy unrelenting. "Oh, come on. Admit it, Nani. You're jealous because I spent time with June." Sky said as he hug Nani from the back.

"I'm not jealous," Nani said, his tone clipped, though his ears betrayed him by flushing red.

Sky's voice dropping to a softer tone, though the teasing lilt remained. "You don't have to be, you know. June's just my friend. You're... more."

Sky continue since Nani keep quiet" You're important to me. And I like having you here, even if you're acting all jealous and stubborn."

"I told you, I'm not jealous," Nani muttered, though his voice had lost its sharp edge.

Sky chuckled softly, his arms tightening around Nani's waist. "Right. Not jealous at all. That's why you've been sulking all morning."

"I don't sulk," Nani shot back, though his voice lacked its usual bite.

Sky rested his chin on Nani's shoulder, tilting his head slightly to catch a glimpse of Nani's face. "You're really bad at hiding it, you know. Your ears give you away every time."

Nani groaned, his hands bracing against the counter. "Sky, stop it. Just let it go."

But Sky didn't move. Instead, he leaned in closer, his voice soft but insistent. "No. I won't let it go. Because you matter to me, Nani. And I don't want you feeling like... like you're not enough."

Nani's breath hitched, and he turned his head slightly, just enough to meet Sky's gaze. For once, there was no teasing in Sky's expression, only honesty and warmth.

"You're an idiot," Nani muttered, his voice quiet.

Sky smiled faintly, his grip on Nani tightening. "Maybe. But I'm your idiot."

Nani sighed, finally relaxing into Sky's embrace. "Yeah," he murmured, his voice barely audible. "You are."

Sky's grin returned, brighter this time. "See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"

"Don't push your luck," Nani warned, though the corners of his lips twitched upward.

Sky's laughter filled the air, and for a moment, the tension melted away, leaving just the two of them standing there, wrapped in each other's warmth.
