Chapter 68

Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love

Chapter 68 Encountering Ruffians Amanda staggered back, the haze from the drinks lifting as she realized the danger posed by the group of thugs. Her gaze shifted uneasily among them, and she stated, “Do you know who I am?”

The men looked at each other and merely smirked.

“You’re just a beautiful girl all by yourself. Come hang out with us. Let us show you what real men are like,” one of them proposed, giving Amanda a lecherous grin.

Chillingly calm, Amanda responded, “I belong to the Willis family. Back off, or you’ll regret it!”

“You’re quite feisty, huh? That’s what I like to see!” another one cheered, clapping his hands, prompting laughter and cheers from his companions.

“My dear, we’re not in the habit of demanding free entertainment. Tell us your price to spend the night with us,”

he added with a sneer.

Tightening her grip on her purse, Amanda stood her ground. “Lay a finger on me, and my father will ensure your tomorrow never comes!”

Their laughter was scornful and loud. “Really? We’re trembling!” they jeered, dismissing her warning.

“Your father doesn’t scare us. You’re not going anywhere tonight but with us,” one of them threatened as he was stepping closer.

As they advanced, panic blanketed Amanda’s thoughts. She wanted to escape, yet her legs were weak and unresponsive.

How could they dare to lay their grubby hands on her?

Suddenly, a man whistled and reached out to grab her. With all her strength, Amanda swung her purse, hitting him squarely in the face, and bolted.

“Damn it! That hurt! Catch her!” he yelled. The weight of the purse obviously caused him pain.

“Don’t bother running! You’ll only make things worse for yourself when I get you!” he bellowed as he chased after her.

Amanda was too scared to stop, her fingers fumbling with her phone, attempting to dial for help, but to no avail.

Soon, despair overwhelmed her.

The thought of being caught by these men was unbearable.

She thought of Elliot, who was oblivious to her peril, and she felt deeply aggrieved.

Chapter 68 Encountering Ruffians Tears blurred her vision as she ran, and soon she tripped, scraping her knee.

Those bastards were still running after her.

Despite the pain, she didn’t stop for a moment. She picked herself up and continued to flee from her pursuers.

Pursued relentlessly, Amanda was overwhelmed by a mix of physical exhaustion and emotional distress, the likes of which she had never faced before.

Caught up in her frantic escape, she didn’t even see the man until she ran straight into him.

“Help me! I can pay you. Please, just help me!” She grasped at his jacket with tears streaming down her face.

“Don’t worry, I’ve got you,” the man in the suit said, soothingly easing her hands away as he stepped in front of her to confront the thugs.

“Who the fuck are you? Back off! She ran into us first. Give her to us, or you’ll regret it,” said one of the shorter thugs.

“She’s a member of the Willis family. Lay a finger on her, and you won’t live to regret it,” he replied, wearing an unflinching smirk.

“Enough talk! Just give her to us!” growled another thug with curly hair.

“Sounds like talking to you people will be pointless.” The man let out a weary sigh and began to roll up his sleeves, which made the thugs brace themselves, assuming that a fight was imminent.

They believed firmly that no one could take away the woman they had set their sights on.

However, instead of throwing punches, the man simply took out his phone.

“Hi, this is the police department, right? I’m calling to report a crime,” he stated.
