Chapter 6
Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love
Chapter 6 She Was With Another Man Three years later, at the airport...
Corynn, dressed in a khaki dress and sporting sunglasses, looked quite elegant and sensual. Her seaweedâlike curls which were cascading down her back also added to her breathtaking appearance.
As she was about to step outside of the airport with her suitcase, she felt an intense heatwave on her skin, which caused her to glance at the cloudless sky and take a deep breath.
At that moment, someone called out, âCorynn! Iâm over here!â
Turning toward where she heard the voice from, Corynn saw Shirley waving at her from outside. Smiling softly, she waved back and walked up to Shirley.
âMom, we agreed that Colton would be the one to pick me up, right? Why are you the one here instead?â Corynn asked.
Shirley hugged her daughter and replied, âI just couldnât wait to lay my eyes on you. Come on, get into the car quickly before the sun damages your skin.â
When she got into the carâs passenger seat, Corynn was quite surprised to see that there was someone else inside.
âOh my goodness, Corynn. I can barely recognize you,â Jason Reid said with a smile.
Corynn smiled back faintly and said, âIt has only been three years since we last met.â
As she got into the car, Shirley smiled at Corynn and said, âWhen you were studying abroad, Jason always came around to help us almost every day. The company owes a lot of its success to him.â
âI know,â Corynn said lowly with a nod.
Jason was the same man that had saved her life that night. Were it not for him, there was a high likelihood that Corynn would have died.
All these years, he had stood by Corynnâs side and she was well aware that he held feelings for her. But then, after surviving that heartâwrenching relationship, she wasnât eager in any way to get into another one.
âI simply did the little bit that I could, Corynn. Just know that Iâm really glad that you are back,â Jason said. Corynn nodded and said, âIâm also thankful to you for all the help that youâve provided my family in my absence.â
Smiling gently, Jason shook his head and said, âIâve told you quite a number of times, Corynn, that thereâs no need for you to ever thank me for anything.â

Holding Corynnâs hand, Shirley let out a soft sigh and said, âYour dad is so excited that youâre back, darlingâ
Seeing that Corynn, just like Jason stated earlier, had indeed changed quite a lot over the past three years and now looked more cheerful gladdened shirleyâs heart a lot.
But then, she was now quite worried about how the relationship between Corynn and Jason would develop, After all, she and Erick had witnessed just how wonderful and loving Jason had been over the years. However, Corynn...
Well, she was going to need some convincing.
After a little while, their car pulled up in front of the Asine Hotel. As Corynn followed Shirley into the elevator, her eyes were fixated on her phone as she went through the messages on it.
She had already begun to get involved in company matters when she was overseas, and the position of Vice President was set to be assigned to her.
If she ended up being impressive, Erick would make her the head of the company.
The moment the elevator doors were about to close, Corynn abruptly felt like she was being watched. She looked up, but the doors had already shut, denying her the chance to see anyone.
Outside the elevator, Elliot was staring daggers at the ascending numbers like he was going to punch them at any moment.
âIs everything alright, Mr. Andrews?â Kaden Carter, his secretary, asked with a look of concern on his face. Without replying, Elliot simply stepped into the adjacent elevator and hit the button for the floor where the first elevator had stopped.
A little while later, as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw Corynn, together with a man, walk into a private room.
Following Elliotâs gaze, Kaden noticed that his boss was staring at a woman.
Pursing his lips, Kaden couldnât help but wonder if Elliot was somewhat smitten by the woman.
Clenching his fists, Elliot headed to the private room next to Corynnâs.
âFinally, you are here, Elliot!â Amanda greeted Elliot with a bright smile on her face as she linked her arm with him when he walked in.
Relaxing his brows slightly, Elliot nodded slowly and followed Amanda to their seats.
âWow, Miss Willis, you are nothing short of impressive. We tried so many times to invite Elliot over, but we never succeeded,â
one of the men in the private room said, his voice bearing a hint of hurt.
With a shy smile on her face, Amanda leaned her head on Elliotâs shoulder and said, âMr. Smith, Elliot wasnât avoiding you guys or anything. You have to understand that he is a very busy man. The main reason why I invited him out today was because I knew he happened to have some free time.â
âStill, we owe you our thanks, Miss Willis,â another man in the private room said.
