Avery POV.

" So let me get this all straight—- shes your student?"Charlotte sat at my island with a mug of coffee in her hand, she hasn't been over in a while so I had a lot to catch her up on.

" Yes Charlotte how many times have I said that now" I huffed irritated with my best friend.

" oh Avery" she sighed as she rubbed her head.

" Maybe you should talk to her about how you're feeling" she added making me glare at her.

" Aren't you a lawyer, Aren't you supposed to understand that is illegal" I said as I raised an eyebrow at her, she is not hearing me right now.

" well if she makes you feel like this, I mean I haven't seen you talk about somebody like that since—- literally never, not even with Calista's Dad" she said as she seemed deep in thought.

" Plus I would never tell on you guys and you guys shouldn't be doing stuff to get caught so I think you should go for it" Charlotte added making me sigh softly.

" You are not helping, You were supposed to shut this all down and tell me no" I whined as I rubbed my face in my hands.

" Mommy can we go get ice cream today" Calista asked excitedly as her feet padded against the Floor.

" Yea, we can go with auntie Char , since she never hangs out with us anymore" I smiled as charlotte rolled her eyes at me.

" go get dressed and then we can go" I said as Calista made her way towards the steps.

I ended up going to my room to change as well.

I put on a red hoodie and black leggings with my adidas sambas.

I decided on being basic, especially since all i've been wearing is heels recently.

I went to Calistas room to help her get her hair in a bun before she slipped on her crocs and we all headed out.

Arabella's POV

I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ears my head pounding from my hangover.

I groaned as I got up heading into my bathroom and grabbing some medicine off the counter.

After I took my medicine I turned the shower on before grabbing all my stuff that i'll need.

Once I got out I wrapped myself in my robe before brushing my teeth.

Since I have an early shift today I put on some light blue jeans and a loose white sweater

I put my hair in a loose braid, before heading to eat some breakfast.

I grabbed my bag off the couch in the living room before heading out the door , and towards the shop.

" whatever" I scoffed with a chuckle after , my boss henry made a joke, A very lame one by the way.

the bell chimed indicating someone walked in, so I slipped my gloves on before heading towards the front.

" Welcome to Flavor frenzy , what could I get you today" I questioned with a smile as I logged into the register.

" 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on a cone please" the lady asked nicely. " of course will that be all" I asked as I put her order in.

she nodded in response making me hum as I pulled up her total. " 4.75"  I told her before scooting down to start scooping her ice cream.

After her card went through I handed her , her ice cream and the bell chimed again.

" Hi welcome to fla-" I started before I got cut off by a shriek making me instantly turn my head to look at the person.

"Abella!" Calista shrieked making me smile before I shushed her a little bit.

" what would you guys like" I asked as I smiled at the little girl that I could barley see , due to the counter being so high.

I looked up and my eyes connected with Avery's before I noticed there was someone else next to her.

hm— I wonder if that's her girlfriend, or if she's calista's other mom, or both— actually I don't care it's not like me and Avery are dating or anything.

" Can I please get chocolate with gummy worms and sprinkles please please please " Calista asked excitedly as she looked at all the toppings we had.

" is that all" I asked before looking up at Avery. " and two vanilla cones please" the lady next to her asked making me nod.

I started making all their ice creams before handing it to them.

" how much is it" Avery asked , Oh so she speaks now!

" it's on me" I replied making Avery frown. " Uh— no that all had to be a lot it will be on me" she said.

" too late" I shrug making the lady next to her chuckle at us and earning a glare from Avery.

" Arabella this is Charlotte , Charlotte this is Arabella" Avery introduced us making charlotte smile as she held her hand out.

I shook it before she spoke some more " so this is the so famous ar-" she started before she got cut off by Avery.

" anyways I think it's time for us to get going" She spoke loudly over Charlotte making sure to cut her off.

"Can we go to the waterfall mommy" Calista's voice asked making Avery turn towards her.

" yes but probably not until later" she replied making the little girl frown. " okay, But do you think Abella could come with us" Calista asked excitedly making Avery turn to face me with a shrug.

" I don't get off for another hour but I will meet you guys there" I replied making calista clap before grabbing her ice cream that she set on a nearby table.

" yay—- see you later abella!" she cheered excitedly as her , her mom and charlotte made their way to the exit.

After they left there wasn't much that happened after, it never usually is so seeing them made me happy , plus now I have something to look forward to after work.

" i'm heading out" I yelled to henry as I set my apron on the hook. " Okay be safe kiddo" He said walking out of the back and grabbing himself an apron.

I grabbed my purse before making my way down the streets of Pennsylvania, It was a chillier day today so i'm glad I put on a sweater.

I followed the trail to the park humming softly as I picked at the white nail polish on my nails.

After following the trail for quite some time I could finally start hearing the waterfall from a distance.

I pushed open the fence that separated the waterfall and the park when I heard a familiar voice.

" it's so pretty " I heard Calista say , I walked up to them quietly not wanting to distract them.

" Abella" Calista cheered once she saw me instantly hugging my leg. " isn't it so pretty" Calista asked as she pointed towards the water.

" yes, it's amazing" I said before sitting on the blanket that her and Avery were sitting on.

" How was school last week" I asked calista as I turned to face her, both of us watching the waterfall.

" It was awesome, this week we learned about how to read the time on the clock!" she explained excitedly making me smile lightly.

"really! That was my favorite maybe it was because it was super easy for me already but I loved reading the time" I replied to the little girl making her nod in agreement.

" and guess what , but you can't tell anybody not even mommy" Calista said making me turn to look at Avery who was just watching us with an amused expression.

" I have a new boyfriend" she whispered in my ear making me gasp. " Calista" I said as I turned to face her making her giggle.

" I'm kidding" she giggled as she held her stomach, I shook my head at the little girl in front of me.

"what" I asked as I looked at Avery who was still looking at me, I hope there wasn't anything on my face.

She shook her head before turning to face the waterfall.

I loved spending time with them , even if it's just watching a bunch of water fall.

As long as i'm with them i'm happy.
