Chapter 8
Strip
Chapter 8
There was Blondie. No, Max, Call him Max! Max was looking as uncomfortable as always surrounded by his... not sure if "friends" is the right term. Chocolate Eyes was sitting to his left, getting a lap dance from a busty Asian girl.
I walked over there, using my stripper walk. I was feeling especially stupid when I reached them.
"Hey boys," I said in the closest thing to a sultry voice that I could.
"Jasmine!" Chocolate Eyes said, pushing the Asian girl aside. "Nice to see you again!"
Resisting the urge to throw up, I smiled at him. "Good to see you too. So who ordered the lap dance?"
Chocolate Eyes raised his hand. "But it's not for me. It's for my man over here!" Chocolate Eyes wrapped his arm around Blond- Max.
I felt like something was boiling in my stomach. Why was I freaking out? I had done this a million times before!
I started to work my way over to him, trying to put on my sexy face. I'm pretty sure I just looked like an idiot, but Chocolate Eyes was licking his lips in the creepy way guys do, so I think I was doing ok.
When I reached Max, I leaned in close. Too close... You never get your face this close to a client unless they're about to put a 20 in your mouth! Lean back dammit! Lean back!
I tried to lean back, put I just got into the weird position that was hard to turn into something sexy. So I straightened up and started over again. What was up with me? I was actually decent at lap dances.
Max also looked like he wasn't having a great time. "Come one dude," Chocolate Eyes said. "Enjoy this!" He tossed some money into the air. I grabbed one of the bills in my hand and stuffed it in my bra.
"I'm sorry is there somewhere more... private we could go?" Max asked me.
"Ooooooh!" The guys said.
"Sure," I said in my smolder-ey voice. "Wanna go into the back room?"
"Sure..." Max said, scrambling up from his seat and stumbling behind me as I walked to the back room.
Oh shit oh shit oh shit, I though to myself. He's gonna recognize me. My life will end. Oh shit oh shit oh shit.
Reaching the door to the back room, I pulled it open. It was even dimmer than the actual strip club, and decorated with dark curtains pinned to the walls and a cushioned bench. "You can sit there," I said, pointing to the bench.
Max sat down. He was squirming and fidgeting. I could tell he wanted to be there about as much as I did. Possibly even less.
"Ok," I whispered, and started leaning over him.
"Can you not give me a lap dance?" He asked suddenly.
I stared at him for a minute, my eyes wide with surprise. "Uh... Ok."
Dammit! I thought. I had dropped my stripper voice. Please don't let him realize it's me please don't let him realize it's me pelase don't let him-
"So, uh... what do you want to do instead?"
"What?"
"Well, I for one don't want to sit here in silence for the next 5 minutes, and I'm guessing you don't either. I mean, if you do it's ok, I mean, oh gosh."
"No, I don't want to sit in silence either." I had totally dropped my voice now. I was trying to get back into it but my voice box wasn't cooperating.
"So... what do you want to do?"
I looked down at my hands. "I dunno."
"Do you want to talk?"
I looked up. "About what?"
"Uh... so you're a stripper?"
"Yup."
Silence.
"What do you like? I mean, outside of stripping."
I was quiet for a minute.
"Um..." He started to say.
"Just thinking," I answered, without him having to ask. I looked at him. Straight into his eyes. He had blue eyes, that twinkled a little in the dim light. They reminded my of the ocean.
"I guess I don't really have time to like stuff," I answered.
"Everyone likes stuff!" He cried, a little to loud. I was worried someone outside would here and get the wrong idea. As if he was reading my mind, he lowered his voice.
"Ok, lets start easy... what food do you like?"
"I don't really get to eat anything but McDonalds."
"Come on, there has to be something!"
"Well... I used to love mint ice cream. Without the chocolate chips. I would eat, like, a pint a day of that stuff when I was a kid."
Max smiled. "My favorite ice cream is coffee."
"My mom likes that stuff! When I was little, I would get my mint ice cream, and she would get her coffee ice cream, and we would stay up watching tv until I fell asleep." My smile dropped when I realized that I had just completed more then one sentence about my mom, something I really struggled to do.
"Good start! So, what other foods do you like."
My smile returned, playing at the corners of my mouth. "Well, now that you mention it, I love hot dogs, and strawberries, and..."
The list went on for another minute, Max interupting with his thoughts, and jokes, and in the end, I was in a fit of laughter. I was actually upset to leave the room.
As we left, he said, "My names Max, by the way."
"Nice to meet you Max." I shook his out stretched hand.
"What's your name. I know Jasmine is fake."
I debated in my head wether I should reveal my identidy to him, or give him a fake name. After I minute I answered, "Just call me Jasmine."
"Ok then Jasmine. It has been a pleasure."
"Like wise." I smiled at him, with a big goofy smile, and watched him walk back to his friends. "Bye Max," I whispered.

As I rushed to change back into my clothes at the end of the night, Janice came up to me.
"So I saw you and the cute blond spent quite a bit of time in the back room."
"Um, yeah," I said, pulling up my jeans.
"What were you doing?"
"Just talking."
Janice snorted. "Sure."
"I'm serious!"
"Ok, ok. Look, I was wondering if I could grab a ride home. If you live near me, that is."
"Um, I don't really have a car," I admited.
"Oh." Janices face fell.
"But, I'm taking the bus home tonight. I could pay for you if you need it."
"Oh, no, I've got tips. But thanks. I've tried taking the bus before, but I always freak out and leave at the first stop. I'm kinda scared of, like, all people."
"Well, I can leave now," I said, pulling my shirt over my head. "Where do you live?"
It turned out that Janice only lived a couple blocks from me.
"Thanks so much! I'm just so scared of the bus."
"It's no problem," I said, picking up my bag, and heading for the door.

Why hello there.
Thank you for reading, blah blah blah. No one actually reads these things anyway. Well, I read them, but that's just cause I'm as weird as I am.
Anyway, if you are reading this, please vote, comment, all that jazz. I'm sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes. I added a little peak into Molly's mother... so much suspence!!!
Yeah, not much suspence.
Thanks again!
