Chapter 13

author's note.

Just Don't Ask {Damijon!}

Alright, let's get straight to the point. If you've been keeping up with the comics, DC's current writer for the superman comics, Brian Michael Bendis, has essentially killed off the Jonathan Kent we all knew.

He aged him up and one of the first shots we got of him after the one year jump is him on a pile of corpses, murder in his eyes as he rips off an alien's head.

The supersons comic series was cancelled with the original writer for Jon, Peter Tomasi (one of my favourite writers) being given a maxi-series for the supersons due to the backlash. For those of you who don't know a maxi-series is a limited series the supersons one got 12 issues, all of which being flashbacks and not affecting the current dc continuity.

So the duo who I, and many others, have fallen in love with will never be again. Bendis ruined Jon's character, reasoning that superman needed a "Tragedy". And in my humble opinion, ruining another character just to give a little spice to another is terrible writing.

Seeing as the Damian and Jon will never be the supersons again, it has upset me as well as many other in the fandom. People were asking if this was just temporary and if we'd get out little cinnamon roll back. I myself have been clinging onto whatever scraps of hope I could find that Jon and Damian could team up again and just be awesome, but as of late; Bendis has tweeted out, responding to the questions and basically confirmed that, if he is to be followed, Jon kent will forever be this new, killer 17 year old and the lovably innocent jon is gone forever.

Bendis was recently fired by marvel before being higher by DC. So, if he gets enough backlash there's a chance that he'd get fired again or at the very least revert Jon to his former self.

Apologies if the most recent  chapters are rather subpar. It's just, I've slowly begun to lose inspiration for writing this book seeing as the two characters I love so much will (most likely) never see each other again, or at the very least never team up the way they used to.

I might put this story on hiatus for a few, I don't know.
