'Huh, sorry what' I say, waking from my day dream

'Doesn't matter,' She rolls her eyes and asks someone else that must look like they're paying attention,

He won't get out of my head, a permanent image of his face is glued into my memory and i can't stop thinking about him...

The bell rings and everyone files out of the classroom, my teacher hands me some notes as i wasn't paying attention but she just cant be bothered shouting.

I walk over to the English department where Malin was,

'Hey B, you should come over tonight Cameron and I are having a movie night with pizzas and shit, gives you an excuse to get out of the hell hole,'

'Sounds great mal but that 'hell hole,' is where my clothes are and once i'm in there i'll never get out, just move it to mine instead I've got a bigger T.V,' I laughed and nudged her shoulder as we walked round a corner, We only had one period on the morning to we have all the rest of the day off and we got home at about 10:05am.

'Mum,'

'Kace,' she she shouts back from the living room, i walk in and she was playing with Jackson on the floor,'

'Where is he,'

'Oh, Hello mal,'

'Mum,'

'Who?'

'You know who,'

'Hes working away for the weekend, and i wish you would refer to him by his actual name you know begins with a 'J' ends with an 'oe' it's actually not that hard,'

'Whatever,' I sigh and collapse onto the sofa and drop my bag next to my feet and Malin follows

'Is it okay if Mal and Cameron come over and we sit and have a movie night down here and then Mal stays?'

'Yeah of course, i'm popping to the shop in ten minutes if you want me to grab you guys anything,'

'No it's fine thank you mum, Cams bringing it all,' I bent down and kissed her on the cheek then jerked my head to mal signalling for her to follow me upstairs.

I contemplated on telling her about Perri, but then shell just go on about it all night, but then she might give me advice. No i thought i'll figure it out first, she's dying for me to meet someone I might disappoint her,

'Hey Mal,' I said excitedly, sitting down on my bed and plugging my phone into my docking station, i put on a shuffled playlist and 'like i do' came on by Zayn

'Ugh i cant believe you bought this song, he fucked Perri over so bad,'

'Perri !? Perri who?'

'From little mix, you know this?'

'Oh yeah haha!' I fake laughed awkwardly, I don't know whats coming over me but the sooner I tell her the better,

'You'll never believe what happened to me today!'

'What!' She threw her magazine to the side and crawled up the bed to where i was,'

'Well, the reason I was late to school is because I ran into this boy, like literally. I was kinda rude to him at first cause i was in a hurry but when i looked at him...Oh my god Mal, he was something else, then some boys turned up to get him and they were winding him up about pulling a girl then he started blushing! Then before he got into the car he winked at me.

'Oh My God! You've found someone?!'

I knew this would happen...

'No, all I know is that hes called Perri and he has alot of older friends,'

'Sounds like diversity,' She mumbles to herself,

'What?'

'Doesn't matter theres no way,' I looked at her confused 'Anyway, what did he look like' she asks, with an intrigued smile

'I'm not telling you, you might know him,'

'Don't know anyone called Perri except for this weird dude that always looks at me in science and i doubt it's him,' We both started laughing and i shake my head at her

'If I see him again, i'll let you know,' I roll off my bed and get changed out of my uniform and into some comfy clothes as we're only watching films all night

Then I hear a knock at the door

'I'll get it, it might be Cam,' She jumped up and ran downstairs

'Kace, perhaps you should just come to mine,'

'Why? What's happened?' Then i hear a glass smash and shouting coming from downstairs, I look at Mal and she looks back at me awkwardly,

I continue to look at her but i'm listening downstairs at the same time, then all of a sudden I hear my mum gasp and Jackson started crying hysterically,

'I swear to God if he's touched either of them,' I say angrily clenching my fists and swinging the door open to run downstairs and burst the door open to the living room. I looked to Jackson, His toy bear he's had since he was a baby was headless , then I looked at my my mum who had a big red mark on her face that she was trying to hide with her hand.

How could he do that, and in front of Jackson, he's meant to be his dad, he makes me sick

Then I looked at him, his face was boiling with anger and his breathing was heavy and quick

'Oh, it's you,' he says sarcastically

'No shit,'

'Get back upstairs,'

'What and leave you abusing my mum in front of your 6 month old son?'

'GET BACK UPSTAIRS NOW!' He screamed, storming towards me

'You know what, I've had enough of this, just waltzing in here whenever you like, hitting my mum and upsetting baby Jack, You know the only reason she's still with you is because she doesn't want Jackson to grow up without a dad like I had to but sometimes I wish my dad was here so that you didn't have to be, You don't even care about her you just need somewhere to live and someone to make you food , Jackson we would all be better off without you,'

Oh my God I've wanted to do that since the day she got with him but I was always too scared that he would hit me, but now I don't care, He needs to hear it.

I feel a stinging pain on my cheek and I hear my Mum scream, Mal wraps her arm around me and tries to take me out of the room but he grabs my arm and pulls me back. He started shouting and with every word he prodded my chest harder and harder. My mum was trying to hang off his arm and push him back but he just shook her off,

'You are not the man of this house and i don't have to do what you say, your dad's better where he is than with you,'

Then when he finished he pushed me back causing me to hit my head off the glass door pane, I felt tears forming in my waterline but I wouldn't cry, I wouldn't let him know he was hurting me, I'm stronger than this.

'Mum....yeah it's me, is it okay if Kacey, Kimberly and Jackson come over for the night...no, I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't a dire emergency...thanks,'

'Thank you Mal, we really appreciate it,' My mum says whilst holding a bag of frozen peas to the back of my head, I had one to my cheek,'

'I'm sorry you had to see that B, I wasn't expecting it,'

'Kacey, it's not your fault, I'm just glad i was here to help,'

'Come on we'll go at get our stuff ready,' I got up and within the same second I had to sit back down again,

'Hon, what's up,'

'Nothing I er, I stood up too quickly that's all,'

'Are you sure i don't need to take you to the hospital,'

'Mum, I'm fine honestly, just go and get your things ready,'

I got up slowly and went upstairs to pack my bag and then Jackson's whilst Mal called Cam telling him she wasn't very well so they would have to reschedule , I can't be done with another person stressing over this. I feel really bad because she hasn't seen him since he got back off holiday. I just can't stay in this house any longer.
