Chapter 8
Hey Sweetheart
It's been two weeks since Shrithik and Shrey have started living in Sameera's house.
Three of them have been a total disaster.
Not in bad way.
Sometimes Sameera will come out of the kitchen stomping her feet. And ask
"Who broke the glass?"
And both Shrey and Shrithik will look in the opposite direction.
Sometimes Shrey will slam the fridge door and ask
"Who ate my choclate?"
Getting a full conversation as reply
"I don't know? Old man, do you know?"
"I? How will I know? He should know, it's his choclate. So Shrey, who ate your choclate?"
"Old man, how will he know? He came asking that only."
"Oh yeah right."
And sometimes Shrithik will bump in the tea table and hurt his toe.
Cussing profanities he will ask
"Who the fuck, kept this table here."
"It's here from the start. Walk properly......clumsy."
They were acting like kids. Not a single person like an adult.
In night they will all sit on one couch and watch a horror movie.
And Sameera absolutely sucked at telling tastes. Like, guys will try to cook a new dish, then they will give it to Sameera to taste it and tell how it is. If there is more salt then she will tell, but if there is less she'll say
"It's a bit different."
And then they will taste it and spit it out. And Sameera would have finished her whole plate.
According to her if there is something excess, she can tell but how is she supposed to tell if a recipe lacks something.
How?
Now back to present, Shrithik is sitting on the sofa, watching TV. Shrey has taken Maaya on a date and Sameera has just now returned from her classes.
Going inside her room she said
"Watch as much as you want to watch, old man before 8 p.m. After that I am not gonna give you remote."
Shrithik turned in his position, and raised his eyebrows.
"And why is that?"
"Because, KGF will come. And I, definitely can't miss it."
Shrithik's brows creased.
"No. Absolutely not. Coolie No.1 is coming at 8. You can watch till then. But we'll watch my movie."
Sameera shook her head.
"No. We are gonna watch KGF means KGF. That's final."
"Noooooo. Please. Please. Pwetty pwetty please. I'll get you fruit juices."
Her mind instantly changed. It was a profitable business.
"Don't worry my boy. I have a super power to watch three movies at once. We'll watch, yours also and mine also."
Saying this she disappeared in her room leaving a confused Shrithik.
"Super power? Really?"
He sighed and turned once again waiting for the clock to tick eight.
Her superpower was not really a superpower. It was just that whenever advertisement came she'll change the channel.
But, they watched both movies. Not missing a single part.
It was when they were fighting over remote when Shrey entered. And to say he was not shocked seeing Sameera half on Shrithik trying to get remote which was high in the air held by his hand would be an understatement.
Both their heads snapped towards the door by the sound of Shrey clearing his throat.
They were still oblivious of their position.
Shrey raised his brows questioning them and they mimicked, questioning him.
He rolled his eyes, they also rolled their eyes. Then he gestured towards them and then it struck them.
She quickly scurried away from him and stood up.
Though Shrey could not see what exactly Shrithik was doing but he was intelligent enough to assume his position.
"How was your date?"
Shrey smiled dreamily.
"I think I am in love."
Sameera made a disgusted face.
"Love? This early. As per my knowledge you both have known each other for maximum three weeks"
At this Shrithik scoffed, causing them to turn his way.
"He has been crushing over her for one year."
Sameera's attention perked up and quickly sat down beside him.
"Same for Maaya. Did he annoy you by praising her always?"
Shrithik nodded.
"Yes, every day. Maaya this, Maaya that."
Sameera patted his back.
"Looks like we are on the same boat, old man."
"Ay, stop calling me old man. Look at me. I am still 24."
Sameera rolled her eyes.
"You told me you are 70 years old,old man."
"But look at me! Do I look like an old man to you? Do I?"
Sameera made a sympathy filled face.
"Actually yesss. You are still four years older than me."
Shrithik fake gasped and said
"You've done a very bad thing sweetheart. I am not old."
"Yes you are, old man."
Shrithik mock glared at her and moved to catch her when she climbed off the couch and ran towards her room, closing the door.
Then she slowly opened the door and peeked out.
"Old man!"
Shrithik falsely made a move to catch her and she closed her door quickly, giggling.
Shrey who was watching this whole conversation finally laughed and sat beside Shrithik. Sameera's expression were really something to watch.
"You look tired."
Shrithik pointed out and he sighed and nodded.
"She started crying when I asked her to be my girlfriend. I didn't even know what I did wrong, you know. I was freaking out.
Girls are so complicated."
"I can hear you, Shrey."
Sameera yelled and Shrey laughed.
"Were they always like this. I mean in your time also?"
Shrey asked.
Shrithik grinned.
"I don't know. Usually girls asked me out. I didn't."
Shrey rolled his eyes at his over self confidence.
They both were half asleep on the couch half n' hour later when Sameera decided to show up. It was Wednesday, and Shrithik's duty to prepare food.
Seeing them she groaned and huffed. She was hungry and they were sleeping?
It's understandable, that Shrey is tired and is sleeping. But what about Shrithik? Why was he sleeping, when it was his turn to cook.
She once again huffed and made her way to kitchen, cooking food. She cooked for all three of them. And her mischievous mind had something planned. Today, especially she made something which smelled really great. She placed food on three plates, covered two and took one with her.
Cautiously moving to the sleeping figures she placed her plate towards them. Wanting them to smell it.
And to her satisfaction they did and woke up. She grinned and nodded towards the plate.
"You want?"
She asked cooing them.
Both guys nodded, rubbing their eyes looking extremely, extremely adorable.
"Well, too bad, you're not getting any. Go make your own damn food."
She snapped waking them completely.
They pouted.
"This is not fair, sweetheart."
"Yeah! This is not fair Sameera. I'm literally paralyzed."
Sameera's face had a shit eating grin.
"Everything is fair in love and war, my boy. And food is definitely love."
Shrithik groaned but got up. He was really hungry and the smell was not helping at all.
Looks like he really have to make his own food. How sad.
Sameera made her way to dining table, and started eating.
"Shrey, come here, fast!"
Shrithik exclaimed causing Shrey to run.
His eyes widened at the scene in front of him. Two plates, beautifully decorated-well not exactly, but hey, food is beautiful- kept there.
They both ran out of the kitchen and hugged her from back, choking her.
"Thanks."
Shrey said and Shrithik nodded, wiping his fake tear. It was pretty funny to watch them eating like pigs, but at the same time it was disgusting.
After they were done, they both leaned back in their chairs.
Sameera had her suspicion that these two were twins. Always copying each other.
Leaning back on chair, nodding, sleeping and even expression. Everything thing they did were almost same.
"I'll never leave you, sweetheart. You cook well. I'll keep you as my personal chef."
Sameera made a disgusted face.
"Only reason, I am tolerating you is Maaya. Otherwise I wouldn't even see your face. You are talking about keeping me you chef"
Shrey became alert, hearing his love's name. He turned his attention to Shrithik and glared at him.
"Maaya knows? You never told me. I thought we were friends."
He wiped his fake tears and Shrithik hit his head.
"Shut it, drama queen."
He turned towards Sameera and raised his eyebrows.
"Explain please, otherwise, Shrey here is gonna blow my mind off."
"Only reason I am letting Shrey live here is because Maaya likes him and you, old man are his best friend. Connection right?"
Reasons she was letting them live with her was because she liked them and they were extremely good company. And not to mention, Shrithik was extremely good looking to spend time watching. Shrey was also but it will be immensely wrong to ogle a taken man.
But they don't need to know the last reason, not that any other will be good.
Shrithik stood up with a hard expression. Sameera's smile immediately fell. What if he is angry. A bad feeling settled in the pit of her stomach.
Shrey watched him with an amused expression. More fun was to watch Sameera.
Shrithik made his way in his room and slammed his door shut. Sameera flinched and closed her eyes shut. She opened them to look at Shrey. She was asking for help with her eyes but he just shrugged.
She pouted and went after Shrithik. She opened the door and was midway going in when she collided in a chest. Particularly Shrithik's chest.
"I'm sorry. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to. I just..it just slipped. I really-"
Her nervous rambling was cut off by a deep chuckle. She looked up at him asking him why was he laughing.
"You thought I was mad?"
She nodded.
"You thought, I was going to leave?"
Once again she nodded and he smiled.
"Don't worry Sweetheart. I'm not gonna spare you soon."
Sameera glared at him and hit his arm.
"I thought, I really angered you."
She mumbled quietly.
It was not usual for Sameera to become nervous while apologizing. And when she is nervous while apologizing, it is very sincere. Because usually, she is not.
She leaned against him and pressed her head in his chest. Not hugging him, just supporting her head on his chest.
He stiffened but hugged her.
"I am not hugging you, old man. But it's ok."
She muttered.
"Hey, group hug without me? Not fair."
Shrey dramatically yelled and joined their, now hug.
"You both are choking me."
Sameera once again mumbled. Causing them to chuckle and thighten their grip.
She huffed and hugged them back.
"Idiots."
"Idiots you love, Sameera."
"Ewwwwwwwww."
