Chapter 65
Hey Sweetheart
"Shivani?"
"Yeah it's me. Tell me, why did you call?"
Shivani asked Sameera from the other side of the call.
"I......you know right? What happened?"
She asked and Shivani hummed.
"Yeah I do."
"That's........I just wanted to ask that if you could help me a bit?"
"I would love to do it Sameera but my help will literally be of no use. Maadhavi is more than a thousand times stronger than me. She has pent up anger in her. I can't do anything. And even if I do that'll not make much difference."
"Oh."
Sameera said disappointed. For a minute or two it was silent between them when suddenly she spoke
"Can you tell my parents? Or do something to them? I........I wanted to bring his bike to Hyderabad from his bunglow in Mumbai. I don't know how they'll react. I really don't know what to do."
Sameera said with a tired kind of voice and Shivani smiled.
"Don't worry about them. I'll handle them. Just don't loose hope. Okay?"
"How can I not?! It becomes hard for me to even breath when I think of what might happen to him. And those dreams....those dreams in which I talk to him....watch him get beaten....... don't help at all. And that stubborn lady.......she has sweared to not leave him. She has become the devil of my world."
She exclaimed exasperated and heard a chuckle from the other side.
"Even the god, the supereme lord can't seperate you, and you are talking about the devil? Always remember Sameera, devil is the opposite of angel, not of God. And that supereme lord doesn't do injustice. Just don't loose hope. Just don't."
A tear escaped Sameera's eyes and she sobbed.
"Th...thanks. I have my savings. I'll go to Mumbai today itself. Just handle my parents and make them believe that the bike I'll bring is being given to me by some relative or something of that sort. Thankyou. Bye."
And Sameera cut the call.
Taking deep breaths she closed her eyes and his smiling face flashed before her. She smiled softly at that and opened a booking app. Then she booked a train seat for herself. And luckily in two hours the train will depart from Hyderabad.
It takes 17 hours to reach Mumbai for Hyderabad and she wanted to travel it all alone.
Sighing she stood up and started packing for her trip. A small backpack was all she took. Inside it were two pair of clothes and some food.
Then hanging the bag around her shoulders she closed the door to her room and turned around to be faced by Maaya's questioning gaze.
"Are you going somewhere?"
"Yeah. To Mumbai. I want to bring his bike back."
She replied and sat beside her on the sofa. Leaning back she closed her eyes but Maaya didn't let her be in that position for much time.
"Are you serious?! You are saying that you'll go to Mumbai all alone then ride back on a bike all the way?! What about your parents? And don't forget you still don't have a job that you are wasting your money. You are still dependent on your parents. Thanks to your bro-"
"I know my love. The money I'm using is his. And some of it is my savings. He's got 25 lakhs in his account. You know how big amount is that? He can buy a whole house in that money in a small town."
Sameera cut her off smiling widely. That was......strange.
"Why....are.....you smiling?"
Sameera turned her head towards Maaya and winked at her.
"Just thinking how rich I'm going to be when I marry him. Being invisible he had lakhs. When he'll get normal he'll have crores. Man, I'm gonna live a damn luxurious life."
She stretched saying this and Maaya sighed.
"Stop acting like you were only after him for his money."
"Huh.....who said I wasn't?"
She asked and Maaya smiled.
"Stop joking around Sameera. It's time for you train right. Go! You might miss it."
Saying this Maaya pushed her out laughing. It was the starting of April of next year and whole three months have passed with him being away from her. And now she was a third year student.
Sameera has tried everything. She even took entry in Maadhavi's house but couldn't find anything. She has searched everything, their house, car, their almira for any hidden door or something but all went in vain. She even read every mythological book that existed. Every religion's every book. It was a hard task. Like super hard.
She studied day and night and finally she started looking like a zombie. She only stopped when Maaya gave all of them in charity. She was not rich to buy them all once again.
The ride to the station was somewhat short. And fortunately she was on time.
Getting in her seat she took a deep breath. And then sighed.
"Dear Mumbai, I'm coming."
The ride to Mumbai was not adventurous at all. Sameera just slept, read a book, watched a movie and ate nothing else.
Then she reached Mumbai. Now the hard task was address. She didn't know the address at all. She slumped her shoulders when she realised this.
"Awwww man! What should I do now?"
She then called Pihu. She was her only hope. And fortunately she picked up at second ring only
"Hey Sameera!"
"Ahh....Pihu. Actually....can you tell me the address of Jay? You know the place where we stayed?"
She asked and Pihu furrowed her brows.
"But why?"
"I'm in Mumbai. And I wanted to go to a friend's house who lives there only. So I wanted the address."
Sameera's excuse was quite dissatisfactory for Pihu but she told her the address without any further questions.
Thanking Pihu and cutting the call, Sameera took a taxi and went to her destination. And Pihu, she called Jay.
"She's in Mumbai?"
"Who?"
"Sameera. She's in Mumbai and she's coming to your neighbourhood."
"Really?!"
Jay asked excited. He also knew that something happened to her boyfriend. Pihu told him. And he was thinking of this as a chance.
"Where's she now? I'll pick her up."
"No. Don't go anywhere. She's coming to your neighbourhood only and to a friend's house. And she is probably is in a taxi too. So don't go."
"Oh..... okay. Thanks by the way."
Jay thanked her and cut the call.
He sighed and went to his garden. Looking for any sign of her. He stood there for next half an hour and just when he about to return a cab came and stopped just in front of his house.
Jay stood there in his loose white kurta and pyjama and watched as a girl came out of it.
Overly loose clothes, hair tied in a bun which was messy. No it was not made messy but it became messy. That girl wore a pair of adidas sports shoes and her clothes were definitely of men.
Then after handing the money to the driver she turned around to face him.
And what surprised him was that she was Sameera.
Sameera looked at Jay and she stilled. Now what was she going to say to him? Should she even open her mouth? She should just get in Shrithik's bunglow without saying anything.
No, that would seem rude. Who knows that Jay still likes her.
She was busy thinking what to do when Jay solved her problem by coming towards her himself and smiling warmly. Sameera returned his smile.
"Hey."
He spoke a little breathlessly and Sameera smiled.
"Hii. How are you?"
She asked smiling warmly and Jay chuckled.
"A little heartbroken that you have stopped talking to me. But other than that I'm doing great."
Sameera chuckled at it lightly.
"Don't worry Jay. You are not the only one. I have stopped using social media. I don't talk to anyone."
"Well......that's nice. At least I'm not getting any special treatment. But why are you here?"
He asked and Sameera gestured towards the house at the back.
"That bunglow, my boyfriend owns it. I'm here to get his bike. Nothing else."
She said and Jay's smile faltered.
"Your boyfriend. Are you still together. I mean.........if I'm not prying, Pihu told me that you are not together."
He said and Sameera smiled.
"That's true. We are not together yet. But we will be soon. He's been kidnapped"
She answered and his eyes widened.
"Kidnapped?"
"Uh....y-yeah. I mean.....by his job. For a special study he's been called by a Japanese pharma company. So he has been there. I told you that he's a doctor right. So....just that work."
She stuttered and laughed it off awkwardly.
"I think I should go now. I've to do some work."
Saying this she turned around and started walking towards the bunglow. Jay was still watching her. He didn't go till she was inside and has pulled the blinds.
Somewhere, it triggered her memories of Shrithik in a sad way. If he would have been there, he too would have done like that.
She plopped on the sofa and when she slept, she doesn't know. But she was woken up by the bell ringing continuously.
She groaned and sat up. She must say that anything that belonged to Shrithik was on a different level. That sofa was so damn comfortable that she couldn't explain.
She went towards the door rubbing her eyes and opened it to find Jay standing there with a packet in his hand.
Jay looked at her and took a sharp intake of breath. Her shirt was lowered so much that it was showing her cleavage. Clearing his throat he looked away and Sameera quickly composed her clothes.
"Um.....I...have you eaten?"
He asked and she shook her head in no. Jay's small smile changed into an adorable grin and he let himself him, bumping shoulders with her.
"Me too. And that's extremely nice because I've got these special vada pav for both of us and now we can eat them together."
He cheered and kept the packet on the table. Then turning around and crouching to her level he smiled and spoke
"Afterall, in this house big house, what would be available to eat and how will you eat it all alone. You need some company."
He declared and Sameera smiled.
"Thanks. There's the kitchen. If you don't mind can you get the plates till I brush my teeth. I've been sleeping since I got here."
"Sure. Anything for you."
He spoke and went inside the kitchen while Sameera, with a small smile ran up to the room she first stayed in.
Everything was same as before and what was surprising was that the house was clean as if someone is living there.
Well, that's nice.
After brushing her teeth she again wore that blue and black t-shirt with Shrithik's name on it and went down to find Jay sitting on the sofa and drinking water.
"Should we eat? I'm starving."
He cried and Sameera laughed nodding.
"Sure, anything for you."
She said and he grinned.
"Don't say like that. I might start thinking that you like me."
"Well.........I actually do."
