Chapter 60

Hey Sweetheart

"Finally!"

Shrithik shouted and threw himself on the sofa as soon as they entered their house.

"I was really missing this flat, sweetheart."

He mumbled and she smiled.

"Don't sleep here okay. First go and take a bath till I clean the house."

She said and he nodded.

"First clean the kitchen so I will cook."

He said and she sat on his back making him groan.

"Awwwww. So sweet."

She cooed and lowered herself down. Now lying on him. She closed her eyes, listening to his soft heartbeat. Slowly she drifted into sleep.

Shrithik smiled when he heard her breathings go slower and regular.

Slowly, very slowly he turned around amd may I tell you that it was very difficult.

Now Sameera slept on his chest. He patted her back rythemically causing her to go in a more deep slumber.

A strand of her hair fell on her face. Tickling her. She made a face in her sleep.

He watched as she rubbed her face in his chest to get that strand away but it was of no use. Then being not able to control himself he slowly blew on her face. That strand now went back but he didn't stop blowing. He didn't had the heart to take that look away from her. That satisfied look.

"Don't stare at me like that."

Suddenly she mumbled and he kissed her head.

"Not possible."

She buried her head in his chest and he stood up with her attached to him. She gasped and he snorted.

"Don't act like I'm going to drop you."

"It will be your loss only."

She said and suddenly something flashed before him.

"Danger is surrounding her.........Don't even let a scratch on her. Protect her............Danger........Danger.............danger...........Danger....danger-"

"Old man! Are you okay? Hey?"

Sameera asked breaking his chain of thoughts.

His face was now in her hands as she was trying to make him look at her. Once again concern laced her face.

His eyes roamed on her face and then suddenly he crashed his lips on her. That kiss, for the first time was fierce. For the first time he kissed her roughly and aggressively.

He walked towards the wall and pushed her in it. Her arms subconsciously went to his neck.

It was so fast, nobody knew when he dived for her neck and when she became a panting mess because of him sucking her skin.

But! They were interrupted by a loud knock.

Shrithik groaned.

"I really think that this world really doesn't like it when I kiss you."

She laughed softly at this and he kept her down.

Laughing she opened the door and saw the face of an extremely cute boy. Like a really cute boy not more than a day after 17. And what was more cute to her, was his extremely flustered face as he looked at her neck which was completely covered with hickeys.

She cleared her throat trying to get his attention and he looked up and turned red.

"Yes?"

She asked and he stammered.

"Uh....A-are you m-miss S-sameera?"

He asked and she nodded.

"Yes. Do you need something?"

"Yes. I mean no. Actually my grandmother sent this for you."

He said and lifted up a packet.

"Um....what is this? And why has your grandma sent this?"

She asked narrowing her eyes and he frantically shook his head.

"Oh no no. My grandmother said that she was your teacher in your old school. Mrs. Maadhavi Shrivastava. She saw you one day and as Maaya didi was still in touch with her she asked your address from her. And she sent this for you."

He said and handed Sameera the packet.

"And yeah. She liked that present very much. Like really very much. The one you sent on teachers' day."

Sameera made an ooh from her lips and then asked

"Is mam here? In Hyderabad?"

"Yes. Because of my higher studies we shifted here."

He replied smiling and then did namaste to her. Going to leave. But she suddenly stopped him.

"Jayant?"

He turned around when he heard his name.

"Jayant right?"

She asked with an intrigued face and he nodded.

"Aren't you the new freshie who sings and plays guitar and has many girls crushing?"

She asked and he blushed.

"It's not like that."

He said looking down and she laughed.

"Okay. By the way tell me your address please. I'd like to meet Maadhavi mam myself."

She said smiling and he nodded.

"Sure di. We live in the apartment three buildings away from here. I'd tell dadi when I go home."

"Thanks. And you sing really well."

She complimented and he again smiled shyly.

"See ya later."

She said when he started going and he replied with a 'yeah'.

Shrithik who was watching all this went and hugged her from behind.

"Who was he?"

"My favourite teachers' grandson. You know I liked her so much. I still like her. And you know without a gap, I've sent a present to her on ever teacher's day."

She said adoringly opening the packet to find many sweets in them.

She could help her insanely wide grin.

He watched with a smile as she reached for a Bengali sweet.

Suddenly a big 'DANGER!' flashed in front of his eyes and he snatched the sweet away.

"What are you doing, huh?"

She asked when he took an extremely small bite of that extremely tiny sweet.

Well, he was checking if it was safe to eat it. When he was assured that it was safe he kept whole of it in his mouth.

She watched open mouthed as he snatch it away from her and ate it. Without even glancing at her.

"You-"

She started but was cut off.

Guess. By who? How?

Her dear old man took another sweet, and kept it in her mouth. If you were thinking that he'll kiss her with his mouth full of sweets, then it is absolutely wrong. Because it is gross.

"Your teacher seems nice. So many sweet sweets and expensive too."

Sameera scoffed.

"She's rich. Like super rich. I bet that she would've bought a house itself when she shifted here. Not rented one."

"Wow. That's nice."

He said innocently and took one more sweet. Then one more. And one more.

Sameera feeling left out did the same and soon, the box was empty.

Suddenly she shrieked.

"Oh my god! They were so many sweets. I ate many. How many calories they must have. And do you know the worst part? I might get those small small insects in my stomach and die."

Shrithik who got startled looked at her with his eyes narrowed.

"This is your problem? The one and only because of which you shrieked like that?"

He asked and she nodded. Swinging her head back and forth many times.

"Drama Queen."

He said and stood up. Then spoke

"I'm not in the mood to cook. You cook and I'll clean."

He said and immediately all the dust flew in the air.

Sameera watched in amazement as all the dust gathered itself in the ball and got itself dumped in the dustbin.

Her eyes were wide and mouth agape.

"Close your mouth sweetheart. It might catch flies."

He smirked and she threw the pillow at him pouting.

"Shut up you garbage."

Ten days passed by, with Shrithik being extremely over protective of her. She was not allowed to eat anything without him knowing. No talking to strangers outside the house without him. And no use of knife, nail cutter, scissor or anything.

After many days, Sameera had bought apples. As it was Sunday and Shrithik was bathing so she decided to cut the apples.

Slowly humming a song she picked up the knife. Swirling it between her thumb and index finger she twirled around. And the threw it up in the air and caught it expertly.

It was a practiced move. Then she started cutting the apples. When she had all the apples pieces perfectly arranged in a tray she kept the knife down.

Whistling, she got a glass of water for herself and started drinking it. She was in the middle of drinking water when suddenly the knife moved and fell down. It touched her skin and she didn't feel anything at first.

But when she crouched down to pick it up the long gash which it has given opened and a loud scream broke through her.

She sat down on the floor and held her leg, trying to control the extreme pain. Tears welled up in her eyes by the extreme amount of pain she was feeling. And blood was oozing out the gash like a waterfall.

Shrithik ran out of his room upon hearing her loud scream. He ran inside the kitchen and gasped looking at her state.

She was sitting on the floor with tears flowing out of her eyes and blood from the cut. Her eyes were tightly closed as she was trying to tolerate the extreme pain. It was too much.

He was surprised. For the first because she never cried when she got hurt physically and for the second, that cut was insanely long. Starting from her knee to her ankle. And her whole leg along with half of her short soaked in blood.

He ran towards her and crouched down.

"Oh, old man. I-it's hurting."

He couldn't hear her as only Shivani's words rang in his ears.

'Danger is surrounding her.'

His eyes snapped up to hers and he picked her up in bridal style.

She buried her face in his chest and sobbed.

"I don't know how it happened. The knife just fell itself."

He looked down at her and smiled softly.

"Don't worry. I'll heal it."

She tried to smile but that immense pain stopped her.

He gently sat her on the sofa. Then crouching down he took her bleeding leg and kept it on his.

First he wiped her leg. But when he reached the place where the cut actually was, she gripped his hands tightly. And that day it was confirmed that she was a powerful girl.

Her grip was so powerful that his hand couldn't move.

"It's necessary sweetheart. I have to wipe it."

"No. It's hurting."

She cried but he didn't listen. He freed his hands from her grip. Then gripped her leg tightly to prevent her from moving. Then gently wiped the cut off.

Sameera squirmed and made a lots of noises but he not even once loosened his grip.

"Sweetheart. Wait. Stop crying. I can heal that. I have that power. But you have to co-operate."

He shouted at first to get her attention and after that his voice softened.

She got scared for a moment at his extremely loud voice but his affection filled eyes soothed her. She quietened down and nodded.

Shrithik kept his palms half a meter above her cut. Then closing his eyes he focused. He made the blood of his body flow in his palms. He made his blood change direction.

Sameera watched as a blue ball of shining threads formed in front of his arms. It was bright. It was luminous and so bright that it was difficult for her to keep her eyes open. But that ball slowly faded away.

Shrithik who was now deep in some other world heard a much know voice laugh.

"TRY HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO. NOBODY CAN SAVE HER. SHE MUST MEET THE SAME FATE."

He jerked forward by the intensity of the words and coughed four five times. So this was what the danger meant.

He was not aware that he was looking right at her face. And had an extremely hard expression on. She was feeling somewhat scared.

"Old man?"

She whispered and that was enough to bring him back to this world and get him working with the speed of flash.

After about fifteen minutes, after he had successfully managed to wrap bandage around her leg, he was holding a glass of water to her mouth.

"Thanks."

She said after gulping down the whole glass of water. You must be wondering that why he was holding the glass of water. She wasn't hurt in the hands.

But the main point was that she was still hurt. It doesn't matter whether it was leg, hand or anywhere else. She was still hurt and deserved the special treatment.

DEVAS

Deva (/ˈdeɪvə/; Sanskrit: देव, Deva) means "heavenly, divine, anything of excellence", and is also one of the terms for a deity in Hinduism. Deva is a masculine term; the feminine equivalent is Devi.

In the earliest Vedic literature, all supernatural beings are called Devas and Asuras. The concepts and legends evolve in ancient Indian literature, and by the late Vedic period, benevolent supernatural beings are referred to as Deva-Asuras. In post-Vedic texts, such as the Puranas and the Itihasas of Hinduism, the Devas represent the good, and the Asuras the bad. In some medieval Indian literature, Devas are also referred to as Suras and contrasted with their equally powerful but malevolent half-brothers, referred to as the Asuras.

Devas, along with Asuras, Yakshas (nature spirits) and Rakshasas (ghoulish ogres), are part of Indian mythology, and Devas feature in many cosmological theories in Hinduism.
