Chapter 39
Hey Sweetheart
"Old man!"
She breathed out, a little scared for some reason. He looked down at her and smiled gently
"Hey sweetheart."
Seeing his soft smile she also smiled widely and looked at Jay to find him confused. Shrithik was yearning to kill him but because he knew from her condition that she'll be shit scared even if he had a serious expression, he held back. Otherwise let any guy try to take advantage of her when drunk, and he'll be dead the next day.
"Let's go, sweetheart."
He said and she shook her head in no. Setting herself free from his hold she went towards Jay and now her back was touching his chest.
"No! I am partying and you know that Jay ws just gonna kiss me. You interrupted us. Go away. I'll not talk to you."
Saying this she turned around and kept her hands around Jay's neck.
Shrithik sighed and rubbed his forehead. If she will not stop he will definitely end up killing the guy. Doesn't matter that he too was drunk. Taking advantage of her was an unforgivable offence.
Jay laughed at Sameera. Keeping his hands on her waist they started swaying and he asked
"Who were you talking to?"
She shrugged.
"Just my old man. Shall we kiss now?"
She asked. Really excited. He nodded and with a big grin on his face leaned towards her. Sameera watched as his face neared and lost it's grin. She watched as his face passed hers and rested on her shoulder.
Suddenly he was snatched away by Shrithik. He just knocked him down. Sitting him down on a stool he went towards her and picked her up. Throwing her on his shoulder he started walking.
"Old man!" She squealed.
"Put me down. Or I'll kill ya! Yir challenging me? Look , I'll show ya- woah!"
He slid her down so she was now in his arms bridal style.
"I will let you walk once we are on the street. Just let me get you out of this club."
He said looking down at her. She was looking so cute that a slight shade of pink now covered his cheeks.
"But why? I c'n walk myself. No need for ya to carry me."
He sighed and kept her down and she immediately stumbled and fell down.
He crouched down to her level and asked, looking at her sad face
"Do you still wanna walk? I'm just gonna carry you out of this club. Rest of the way you are gonna walk on your own. Okay?"
She nodded with her lower lip out. Holding his hand and stumbling she stood up and immediately clung to him. Wrapping her legs around his waist and hands around his neck. She kept her head on his shoulder.
"Do ya know oumuamu's the first object to be detected in the space?"
He didn't reply as he was busy getting her out of the club without being seen. It would be scary to see a girl just hanging in the air.
"Old man?"
"Hm?"
"People keep cuttin' the trees, use polybags, glitters and plastic and then ask why our Earth's loosin' it's balance. Y'ever think about what's happenin' to our world? You know-"
"Who taught you to speak like that?"
He asked and she giggled.
"You."
"Oh yeah. I really need to stop talking in different accents."
He sighed and then felt her shifting in his arms. Lifting her head from his shoulder she came in front of his face.
This time his breath hitched. She was too close. All the times before it was Shrithik who just did things to tease her but now, it was getting him hot.
He cleared his throat and looked away. Getting out of the club from the back door he made a move to push her away but she tightened her legs around his waist.
"No. I'm not gonna walk. Y're going to carry me."
He sighed and spoke
"You wanted to walk right. Then what happened."
She grinned and kept her head on his shoulder.
"You are comfortable. Like reaaaaalllllllly comfortable."
He sighed and started walking. Now you must be thinking that will she be seen hanging in the air? No. She will not.
Shrithik hasn't told Sameera the whole truth about his 'conduction of invisibility'. In reality he can turn anything he wants, invisible. Be it living, non-living, small or large. Anything, from statue of Liberty to an ant.
"Old man?"
She speaks a lot.
"Yeah?"
"You know, you are like my dream came true."
He snorted.
"You have seen me before in your dreams or do I have every quality of your dream guy?"
He said rubbing her back. She was clinging to him like a child and was talking like one and he couldn't bear to get this child a cold.
"No. You are my dream best friend. I've never been so close to anyone other than my family. You know I wanted a best friend like they show in movies. A friend that understands you, in front of whome you can do anything without being emabaressed like cry, who can join you when you do crazy things."
He looked sideways at her face, looking so concetrated on the concrete below.
"But you have Maaya, right? You two seem really close. Like best friends they show in movies."
He said and looked ahead. He felt her nodding her head.
"Sure we are. We are very close. I also tell her many things. But I don't know, we don't have the bond that's shown in movies. All that we do, I do is act. I don't know wether what is shown in movies is true or not. But we don't. I think that's totally because of my mentality. Because I am reaaaaalllllllly weird. I like totally different things. And you know the main thing?"
She pushed herself and once again brought his face in front of his. Eyes opened wide, hair fortunately still good and pink plum lips slightly apart.
"Do you know the main thing?"
She once again asked, excited.
He thought and slowly shook his head.
"Um-no."
"You don't know? Let me tell you. I don't like to persue anyone. Like anyone. If something has happened and a person is crying and I asked them twice and they didn't tell me that clearly means that they don't want to tell me. It's just simple. I am telling you if you also get like that I'll not even bother to talk to you."
He raised his brows, amused.
"Oh really?"
She nodded, once again keeping her head on his shoulder she continued.
"And people are so fake. She just strives to be the person who is considered cool in Instagram memes. Backbencher. I mean sure Bhool Bhulaiya is an awesome movie, but that doesn't mean it's life. It's just total nonsense. You are my dream come true because you are just same as me. It's so easy for you to predict my emotions. I like that thing. And you don't make me feel awkward. I love that thing. And I love you."
He stopped when she pecked his cheek really hard. 'I love you?' was she serious? He took a deep breath. No. She can't be. She's drunk goddamit.
"Stop it sweetheart. You are drunk."
He said and pushed her head back in the crook of his neck. But she came back up.
"No! I'm not!"
She whined and then became still. Narrowing her eyes she spoke
"You don't love me? Is it that only I love you and you don't?"
She asked and he clenched his jaw. Nonsense! Everything was senseless. She was talking waste.
"Sweetheart-"
He started speaking but she shushed him up by keeping her finger on his lips.
He was now for sure going to faint. He was a simple guy with no female attention or touch for 46 years. Then suddenly out of nowhere a beautiful girl can see him. Then they start living together and sometimes by mistake get in romantic positions and now that girl is clinging to him and has her fingers on his lips.
Keeping his hand below her hips, to balance her, he lifted his other hand up and held her wrist.
"You don't love me sweetheart. You are drunk." He said in a strict tone.
She tilted her head to a side and spoke
"But I dooooo. Just like I love Maaya, Raj, Shivam, Shrishti and Pihu, no I don't love her. I just like her. Don't you love me like you love Shrey?"
He looked sideways and then spoke
"Yeah. I do."
He started walking and she poked his nose and started laughing. Doing the same thing she laughed.
The suddenly getting serious, she spoke
"I was going to get my fiiirst kiss. But you knocked Jay down. He's such a gentleman you know?"
She gushed suddenly excited.
"He's so sweet. I really like him but not like that. If I would have not liked you, I totally would have proposed him. But you are there in between us. You bastard. I hate you."
She hit his chest and narrowed her eyes when she saw him smile.
"Why are you smiling? You came in between us and I hate you. You should not smile like that."
She said poking his chest. He chuckled and looked her in the eye.
"So you won't mind if I became your boyfriend?"
"Noway. But you have to propose me. I will not. And I also want you to kiss me in front of everyone in our college. I'll show you off. That ' Look, my boyfriend is hotter, sweeter and better than all the boys in this world'."
"Shhhhhhhhhh."
He shushed her laughing when she shouted really louded.
He was really liking this drunk Sameera. A sober Sameera would never open up about her wishes but drunk her didn't have a filter.
Now he has the most important question to ask her. One thing that even he wasn't getting
"Sweetheart?"
"Yeas, darling?"
She said totally drunk alert.
"Why do you limit yourself?"
She laughed and said
"I don't limit myself. Have you ever seen me stop eating untill I'm full? Have you ever seen me not doing something I want? I'm literally considered the crackhead of our group. I don't feel shy jumping up and down when there's a new movie released of my favourite hero. And even after being a tomboy, I don't mind openly finding a guy hot. And I don't even mind wearing a hot pink tshirt. Only if it looks good, okay? I don't limit myself."
She said and once again kept her head in crook of his neck and tightened her legs and hands around him.
"Then why don't you wear girly dresses?"
"Because I feel that I limit myself when I wear them. Second, I don't really like them and third, when I like one, I don't think I'm pretty enough for them. All of my twenty years I've been surrounded by reaaaaalllllllly beautiful girls. Look at Shristi and Pihu they are a hundred times more beautiful than me. I feel like I'll not be a match. So I don't dress up to get the satisfaction of not looking good because I didn't try. It's just simple , darling."
She said getting a little sad in the last.
"That was deep."
He said and she grinned.
"Was it? Really?"
"Yeah."
He said and she grinned more widely and pecked his lips.
"Thanks."
