Chapter 21

Hey Sweetheart

"Soooo, Pihu's cousin's wedding is next week and she asked me to go to Mumbai with her. Everyone, I mean my every friend is going."

Sameera said. They were both sitting on the dining table having breakfast.

He looked up at her and furrowed his eyebrows

"So? Why are you telling this to me?"

"Because you will be coming with me, right?"

She asked and he shook his head in no.

"I am not going anywhere. I'm perfectly fine. You can go if you want to."

He said and she nodded slowly. Then she picked up her phone and called her mother

"Hello?"

"Hello mummy."

"Oh darling. How are you? And how come you are calling this early in the morning. Its just......8a.m."

"Yes, about that. Actually my friend's cousin's wedding is next week and she asked me and my friends to attend it. May I?"

"Of course you can. But why are you asking this?"

"Because.....we have to go to Mumbai. For a week."

"Mumbai. That's far. Who else will be with you?"

"Raj, Maaya, Shivam and Pihu. I'll be fine mom. Please. Please can I go?"

"Okay. But don't let me regret it."

"Yessss. Thanks maa. Love you."

"Love you too. Bye."

"Bye"

Saying this she hung up.

"Permission granted?"

He asked and she nodded. He chuckled looking at her eyes which were twinkling.

*Ping*

Sameera's phone pinged alarming her of a notification. It was a message from Jay.

After Shrithik slept on her shoulder she yelled and woke him up and ordered to sleep in his room. He was way to sleepy to argue so he just followed her orders.

After that Jay messaged her and they chatted for almost an hour.

More like Jay persuading Sameera to agree for the one week trip. He is the sole reason why Sameera agreed.

Jay:

Good Morning !

Sameera:

Good Morning to you too.

My mother agreed 😜

Jay:

Is that wink for me?

Sameera:

Yeah.

All yours.

Jay:

I'm so honoured.

That's a great news.

By the way what are u wearing?

Sameera:

Baggy pants and a t-shirt.

Why?

Jay:

Which colour t-shirt?

Sameera:

Brown.

Why?

Jay:

Okay.

Thanks.

Sameera:

BUT WHY?

Oh, and you're welcome.

Jay:

Bye.

See you later.

Sameera:

Bye.

But Why?

Jay:

😜

Saying this he went offline. Sameera sighed and picked up her bag.

She looked at Shrithik to find him stabbing his pancakes. He was thinking that which movie should he watch today. And he was very concentrated.

"What happened? Spare that poor thing."

She said he looked up at her.

"Dream girl or u-turn?"

"U-turn. And I am leaving."

"Bye!"

He yelled and she did the same.

After attending two of her classes she made her way to the cafeteria. It was 1:00 pm and everybody had a free period so they met there.

There were five people sitting and Sameera furrowed her brows. They should be five including her, not without her. And to her surprise almost all the people in cafeteria were glancing at her table.

She reached near them and her suspicions were confirmed. It was Jay. And that guy was wearing a brown t-shirt as hers. And what she didn't notice was that he had the same t-shirt plus he was also wearing baggy pants.

She gave him a small glare and he smirked.

Sitting down she was bombarded with questions.

"Did you ask your mom? What did she say? Did she say yes? Or did-"

"Yes. She said yes. I can go to Mumbai."

"That's great!"

Pihu chirped.

"You know, I really think it was a very bad decision for you to come here. I really can't tolerate people glancing my way."

Sameera said pointing to Jay.

He chuckled.

"They are not looking at you. They are looking at Jay."

Shivam spoke.

"I know. But the girls who are at the back of Jay can't see him and they are watching me. It's annoying."

They laughed.

"So when are we going?"

Shivam asked Jay.

"Today is Friday, how about tomorrow?"

Shrishti spitted out her water. Thankfully it was not much.

"Tomorrow? Isn't it too early?"

"You are not going to live there, are you?"

Maaya asked and rolled her eyes.

"I'm fine with it."

She once again said.

"Me too. And she too."

Sameera said refering to herself and Shrishti.

"So then it's final. Tomorrow we'll take a flight at about 10:00 am. Pack your bags because you'll not be coming back for a week."

Jay said and everybody nodded.

And then, the bell rang indicating the hour is over.

Everybody looked at each other. They all had classes except Sameera, of course.

"Sorry Jay, but we have to go."

Shivam said and smiled apologetically.

"It's okay, man. I also have to go. Can you um.....tell me the directions?"

"No. She'll drop you to the gate. You don't worry."

Shrishti said and he smiled at her.

She nudged Sameera and Sameera glared at her. Is she a chauffeur to drop him to the gate?

Shrishti glared at her with double intensity and Sameera sighed.

"Come."

As she had any other choice but to agree!

Jay nodded and bid goodbye to everybody.

Totally oblivious to the girls who were ogling him.

Sameera rolled her eyes.

Shrithik got up between his movie and went towards the fridge. Opening it a deep frown appeared on his face.

His favourite sweets were over!

Then an idea popped into his mind. Taking his walet and wearing his shirt - no he doesn't roam around shirtless, he was just wearing an old t-shirt on which he spilled his juice.

Then he ran towards her college. Soon the campus gate was within his view. Increasing his speed to its maximum he ran towards it. But the poor guy saw something and stopped. Thank god he didn't fell first on his face.

His eyes were wide as he saw Sameera laughing and coming with a boy. Probably his age. And both of them were wearing matching clothes.

MATCHING CLOTHES!

He made a disbelieving face. So he was the one she was chatting to before coming here. Were they deciding over which clothes to wear?

He saw as that unknown guy gave her an unexpected side hug and sat on an expensive looking car and sped off.

Sameera stood there partially shocked. Did Jay just hugged her? Then she shrugged it off. It was just a hug. Turning around she was making her way back in but someone caught her eye.

There he was standing with his eyes slightly narrowed and mouth wide open. He was looking quite funny.

She started marching towards him. He saw her and made eye contact with her. That idiot still wasn't aware that his lips were still 3cm apart.

She went and closed his lips.

"How come you are here? I thought you'd be busy watching movie?"

She asked tilting her head slightly to the side.

He looked down. He didn't know why but he didn't like that guy hugging her. Whatever!

It's her life, her friends, her hug. She'll give it to whoever she wants.

He looked up and grumbled

"My sweets are over. I want them."

He was looking like a angry baby asking for his favourite iron man toy.

"Don't worry, my boy. Don't fear when Sameera is here."

He rolled his eyes.

"You are the reason someday should be scared. It will not even take two minutes for you to eat someone's brain out."

She pouted.

He rolled his eyes and dragged her to the sweet shop.

She was waiting for the shopkeeper to pack the sweets when a packet of handmade custard caught her eye.

She clinged to Shrithik's bicep causing him to look down at her.

She then slowly pointed towards the custurd packet and made puppy dog eyes.

"What?"

"Can we please take that? Please?"

"Take it if you want to eat. Why are you asking me?"

She lightly banged her head on his bicep. Then slowly looking him up with her one eye and said

"I don't know how to make it, that means you have to make it. Please old man. Can I take it? Please........please......"

Shrithik gave her no reaction and just looked in his front. She groaned and once again hid her head in his bicep. That guy was buff.

Sighing she looked up to find every flavour of custard placed on the shop counter.

She grinned and looked up at him. He just smirked still looking ahead.

After paying and taking everything they made their way to their home.

"You are the best, old man. You know I tried to make it many times but it was always ruined. Then I abandoned the plan. You know it's been really long time since I ate it. By the way you know how to make it na? If you don't then we can search it. I also googled it but still it tasted like shit. And then-"

She was cut of by Shrithik draping his arm around her and keeping the palm of that hand on her mouth.

"You talk a quite lot, Sweetheart."

She licked his palm and he shrieked. She grinned.

"Disgusting. You know this can lead to me not making that thing for which you have whined this much."

She just looked down and started walking quietly. Shrithik sighed and rubbed his eyes.

Emotional blackmail.

They reached home quietly. Sameera didn't even opened her mouth. Shrithik knew all of it was just an act. Innocent, cute child act. But still, a person who wouldn't fall for it would have a heart of stone.

"Oh, stop it, Sweetheart. I'll make it, okay? You want it now? I'll make it now. Just stop with that look."

He said pointing at her face. She looked up. Her cheeks were filled from little air because of not speaking and looking down for a long time.

"What did I do?"

She grumbled in a small, quiet voice.

"Just, just don't make that kind of face. It's straight up disgusting."

She gave him a small glare than smiled sweetly.

"You said you'll make my custard. Vanilla will be fine for now."

He slumped his shoulder.

"I said something like that?"

"Yes."

"Well, I don't remember. So bye."

Saying this he went to his room. Sameera looked at his back and stomped her foot.

Making her way back to her room she threw her bag on the bed when her phone rang.

It was Jay.

"Hello?"

"Hey Sameera?"

"Hi Jay. Miss me already?"

He laughed at the other hand.

"Of course, I do. By the way, I was wondering if you want to come with me."

"To where? If you're talking about Mumbai then I'll not go without my friends."

"No no. I was just wanting to go to the famous Hussain Sagar Lake. I thought to ask you to be my tour guide."

Sameera wondered, why he was asking her. Isn't Pihu also living here and he knows her better compared to Sameera. He could have asked her also.

Refusing straight up would be rude, especially when that guy was so sweet and doing so much. And who will refuse to a cute guy's company?

"Uh....sure. So should I meet you there?"

"Of course not. I'll come to pick you up in...... twenty minutes. Be ready."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

Sameera wondered whether to change her clothes or not? But she was wearing good clothes. What if he'll not like them?

Then let him him not like it. It's not that he is wearing and lastly, he also wore the same t-shirt.

Thinking this she took her phone and started making her way out.

"I'm going!"

"Where?"

"To park. With Jay."

He looked up. Jay? Was he the guy with whome she wore matching clothes?

Whatever.

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

She made her way downstairs and stood in front of her apartment building. Soon a black Lamborghini with blue lightning tyres stopped in front of her. And then window rolled down revealing Jay.

Seeing her shocked expression he chuckled.

"What?"

"You have a Lamborghini? It's yours?"

He nodded.

"All mine. Now get in."

She nodded excitedly and ran to the passanger seat and sat inside. He chuckled and started driving.

Sameera once again realised something.

"Turn around to wherever you came from. We are not taking this car. We'll take a little simple car."

He looked at her confused.

"Oh just turn around. If you don't have a simple car, we'll take mine. Because in span on fifteen minutes your car will be ruined by teenagers. You understanding me? An expensive car standing in a parking lot, how bad it'll look."

He was once again just looking at her.

"Just turn around, Jay. I can't let this precious car get ruined." She whined at his lack of response.

"Okay. Okay."

Saying this he turned around and went to the hotel he was staying at. Parking the Lamborghini they sat in an Audi.

"Attention please. Tighten your seat belts as we are taking off."

Jay announced and she giggled.

"Yes capitan"

And he sped off.
