Chapter Five: Facing Reality

The Banished Wolf {COMPLETED}

Chapter Five: Facing Reality

Bianca tossed and turned all night long due to her wolf not wanting to settle down. She was too busy trying to get Bianca to go find Brody. Bianca wasn’t ready to confront that situation just yet in fact she really didn’t want to face it at all knowing that it wouldn’t end well for her.

Her wolf kept nagging her and telling her that Brody was their key to being welcomed back where they belonged as Alpha of the pack. If things had worked out she was going to be the first female Alpha in their region which hadn’t ever happened. But every few hundred years there had been at least one female Alpha throughout the Were regions.

The little sleep she managed to get was invaded by images of Brody and the kiss they shared. Before she knew it morning had arrived and Hope was jumping on her wanting pancakes. She managed to climb out of bed and make her way to the bathroom where she took an ice cold shower trying to wake up.

It helped some but not much she could tell she was going to drag ass all day long. So she threw her hair up into a messy bun and put on a pair of comfy jeans, a tank top and a hoodie in case it was hot in school she could just shed the hoodie. Which she thought it was hot everyday no matter what time of year it was.

Once her and Hope finished breakfast she prepared her to go stay with Mrs. Daniels while she attended her classes. Sara was taking night classes this semester so they could ride together but none of their classes would be the same since Sara was a fairy human who hadn’t found her fairy abilities yet. She was only allowed to take special classes to help her acquire her abilities.

She pushed last night out of her head and hoped Sara wouldn’t bring it up either. “So are you ready for another fun semester?” Sara asked as they climbed into her car. “Oh yes ecstatic.” Bianca said rolling her eyes.

“I can tell.” Sara laughed. “At least we get to see each other between classes and the hour we get for supper.” Bianca said trying to make light of the situation. “Yea that is a big plus.” Sara said as they headed towards the academy.

“Oh did you hear what happened at the club last night after we left?” Sara asked. “No and I’d really like to forget last night.” Bianca replied. “You will want to know this apparently the King of the royal wolf family showed up with his sons.” She squealed.

“I highly doubt that happened.” Bianca said knowing that the king of the royal family wouldn’t be caught in a club on the edge of some human town when he looks down at humans as if they were nothing more than a weak life form taking up space.

“No it’s true it was on the front page of the Deadwood Post. Apparently some rogues tried to kill him but were stopped by the royal guards and one of the princes.” Sara said excited.

“Why on earth was he at the club it just doesn’t make any sense.” Bianca said wondering how Brody knew something was going to happen. “From what dad says he was there to meet with the leader of the Human Hunters to setup a new peace treaty for your kind.” Sara replied.

“That is just an odd place for a meeting like that but my question is how Brody knew something was going to happen.” Bianca said as they pulled into the parking lot. “You know I was wondering the same thing my guess either one of two things either he was a part of the rogues who attacked or he is somehow affiliated with the royal wolf family.” Sara said hoping he wasn’t a rogue for Bianca’s sake.

“I don’t think he’s a rogue but I think it may be possible he comes from royal blood because some things he has said or done have been too weird and there just isn’t another explanation for it.” Bianca said realizing more than ever she has to stay away from Brody.

“You’ll have your chance to ask him.” Sara nodded towards a car of guys pulling in a few spots down from them. “Oh great hide me.” Bianca said scrunching down in her seat and pulling her hood up in hopes he hadn’t seen her.

“B you can’t hide in the car forever besides if you two are mates, isn’t he going to sense your presence?” Sara asked getting out of the car. “I hate when you’re right.” Bianca said getting out of the car keeping her back towards the car Brody was in.

Bianca quickly walked towards the school with Sara right beside her. She felt her wolf trying to fight her to go to Brody but she wasn’t having it she was going to dodge him as long as she could.

“Bianca slow down, I need my energy for class.” Sara said stopping to catch her breath. “Sorry I just wanted to avoid him.” Bianca said going back to join Sara. “I think you should just face him and find out for sure what is going on between the two of you because he may embrace the fact that you are his mate and sweep you off your feet.” Sara beamed.

“I think you need to come out of fairytale land and rejoin us here in reality where that sort of thing doesn’t happen especially to me.” Bianca said as they started walking again. “How do you know that if you keep running from him B?” Sara asked hugging her.

“Ugh once again you’re right for the second time today.” Bianca sighed heading towards the wolf side of campus while Sara made her way towards the gardens designed for the fairy students.

Bianca made her way to her locker watching as everyone treated her as they always had males pretty much running from her and females snubbing her. The difference this time being her wolf was on the verge of coming undone.

She knew she had to keep her wolf under control or else she would do something she would regret. She just kept her head down and pushed her feet forward. Each step was getting harder and harder to take due to her wolf fighting her.

She had managed to reach her locker before coming undone. She threw her books in and slammed things around as her wolf unleashed her anger. Once she felt her calm down she grabbed the book she needed and slammed her locker.

As she turned to go to class she ran into someone falling backwards throwing her books. Her wolf already angry became even more agitated but stayed as calm as she could feeling out powered by the wolf of whoever Bianca ran into.

Bianca looked up to see a guy with massive muscles staring down at her. She got up and picked her books up all the while he stood watching her. “Next time maybe you should watch where you’re going.” He snarled at her.

“Next time maybe you should be more polite.” Bianca replied not showing fear. “Maybe you should learn to stick with your own kind, trash.” He growled stepping towards her causing her to back into the lockers.

“You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.” She snapped pushing him backwards. He was stunned by how strong Bianca was but could sense that her wolf was cowering inside so he used that to his advantage.

“She wolfs like you are only good for one thing.” He smirked. “Oh and what would that be?” she asked not amused. “To let our wolves out and have some fun then out with the trash you go.” He growled in her ear as he backed her up against the lockers again.

Bianca wasn’t about to show fear even though her wolf had went back into hiding to escape his wolf. “See that’s the problem with guys like you, you automatically think you are bigger and stronger so you can do as you please. But you may find yourself disappointed seeing as how I am an Alpha female.” Bianca said holding her head high.

“Alphas can’t touch me honey I am of royal blood so why don’t you take some advice from your wolf and cower down to me.” He snarled pressing his forehead to hers. Bianca a little more uneasy now still wasn’t going to show him any fear.

“You’d think you’d have some manners coming from royal blood and all.” She smirked pushing his arm out of her way so she could start towards class. “Why you little bitch.” He said grabbing her arm and throwing her against the lockers.

“Damien I suggest you get your hands off her.” an all too familiar voice snarled. Bianca felt her wolf perk up just as she looked up and saw Brody glaring at the guy who had a hold of her. “Brody this doesn’t concern you.” Damien said gripping Bianca’s arm tighter.

“That is where you are wrong anything that deals with her or her family concerns me.” Brody growled stepping closer to them. “Why on earth would you care about a girl who turned her back on her own kind and mated with a human?” Damien snarled holding Bianca possessively.

Bianca couldn’t believe Brody was coming to her rescue she began to think that Sara could be right maybe Brody would actually accept her if they were truly mates. She snapped out of her thoughts just as Brody moved forward becoming nose to nose with Damien.

“She didn’t turn her back on anyone they turned their backs on her now I’d appreciate it if you let her go.” Brody boomed. “What is so special about this one causing you to act all mighty unless she’s your mate?” Damien laughed letting Bianca go.

“She’s just a friend now I suggest you leave her alone.” Brody snarled as he walked past Damien to Bianca. “Here let me walk you to class.” He said to her as he offered her his arm. “Thanks but no thanks.” Bianca grabbed her stomach running from him.

Brody stood there not knowing what to do but watch her run away. Bianca ran into the girl’s bathroom throwing up as soon as she entered the open stall. She couldn’t stop throwing up it was as if something was dying inside her.

Then her wolf whispered he denied us. Bianca played back what Brody had said when Damien questioned her being his mate ‘she’s just a friend’ those words played over and over making her even more sick which caused her to realize that he was her mate and that he did exactly what she knew he would, rejected her.
