Epilogue

Thirteen years have gone by things in the kingdom have remained peaceful since King Albert was overthrown. King Brody and Queen Bianca and their children have become the most loved royal family in all the land.

They are preparing to throw a ball for their twins Oliver and Hannah to celebrate their thirteenth birthday while also preparing to say goodbye to Hope who was called upon by Lycan himself to start her guardian training.

“Babe you need to take a break from decorating and let the staff finish.” Brody said wrapping his arms around her waist. “I just want to finish it has to be perfect for the twins and Hope.” Bianca sighed.

“The staff will ensure it is perfect dear now why don't you go lay down while Owen is sleeping.” Brody smiled rubbing her back. “That's actually a good idea.” she smiled kissing him.

“You might as well get your rest when he does seeing as he won't sleep this much for very much longer.” Brody smiled as they made their way towards the nursery. “I can't believe he is already eight weeks old.” she said looking down at her sleeping baby.

“I know it's crazy how fast time moves on by.” he agreed. She went and laid down in their room while Brody went in search of his brothers. Damien and Sarah had decided to stay in the castle and raise their kids right along side Bianca and Brody.

“Hey man have you gotten a hold of Lance and Travis yet?” Brody asked walking into the den. “Yep, Lance and Stephen are on the road and should be here in a couple of hours while Travis has just got on the Kingshighway and will be here later on.” Damien replied looking up from the video game he was playing with his son Braxton.

“Uncle Brody will there be a ball when I turn thirteen next year?” he asked looking away from the tv. “I'm sure there will be especially since we all know how your mom and Aunt B love throwing balls.” Brody smiled ruffling Braxton's hair.

“That is for sure those two along with Solara and mother are quite the party planners.” Damien teased. “I hope Uncle Lance and Uncle Stephen get here soon otherwise Hope is going to go crazy she is afraid they won't make it in time to have a tea party with all of us kids before bed.” Braxton commented.

“No worries son your uncles will be here soon.” Damien reassured him. “Has anyone seen B or the kids?” Sarah asked peeking her head into the den. “B is laying down as far as the kids I assume they are outside playing Hope said she was going to keep them all busy while the ballroom is being decorated.” Brody responded.

“I think a nap is a grand idea especially since this child of mine is practicing to be a soccer star.” she laughed rubbing her belly. “He is just telling you it is almost time for him to make his grand entrance.” Damien grinned jumping over the couch.

“I am more than ready for that to happen I would love to have my body back to myself.” Sarah laughed as he kissed her stomach. “It won't ever fully be yours again seeing as you are mine that makes your body mine as well.” Damien grinned wiggling his eyebrows. “Euw gross that is too much information.” Braxton yelled covering his ears.

They all laughed and went back to what they were doing. Sarah made her way to lay down with Bianca while Brody went to check on the other kids. He made his way to the gardens being as quiet as possible to get a quick peek then had back inside to finish up some business before the ball tomorrow.

He found Hope reading beside the pool while Oliver, Hannah, Tanner, and Cole all played in the pool. “Dad we're doing just fine.” Hope grinned looking towards him. “I swear I can't ever sneak up on you can I angel?” Brody laughed sitting beside her.

“Of course you can't that comes with the guardian gene I guess.” Hope laughed. “I can't believe you are going to be leaving us already it seems just like yesterday that we even found out what your future held.” he smiled.

“I know dad but I'm all grown up now and Lycan has called on me to serve him and the rest of Harmonia.” she said holding her head high. “I know and I am so proud of you that is a great honor.” he beamed at her.

“Dad are you getting in with us?” Oliver yelled from the pool. “Not right now son maybe later.” Brody smiled at him. “Uncle Brody, pwease get in with us.” Cole pleaded trying his hardest to doggie paddle to the side of the pool.

“Not right now buddy I have a few things to do before I can play.” Brody smiled helping him out of the water. “Daddy look what I taught Tanner.” Hannah grinned as Tanner did a hand stand in the water. “Good job Princess, be careful. Hope please get your nose out of that book and keep an eye on the little ones just to be safe, Tanner is only eight and little Cole isn't even four yet.” Brody glared down at her.

“Alright I have finished it anyways.” she smiled setting her book down. “Thank you sweetheart.” Brody smiled walking back inside. He went into his study to finish working on the new peace treaty that he was proposing to the adjoining kingdom since it was under a new ruler.

A few hours later all you could hear was the shrill screaming of an excited Hope running through the castle. “Sweetpea you've grown at least a foot since I saw you last.” Lance laughed as she lunged at him.

“I do believe someone is really excited to see us.” Stephen grinned as Hope wrapped her arms around him. “I didn't think you were going to be here in time for the tea party I have set up.” Hope beamed.

“I shouldn't have ever started you on tea parties.” Lance teased. “You know you enjoy them just as much as I do.” she laughed. “That he does.” Stephen added. They moved past the foyer into the living room where everyone else greeted them.

Once everyone had finished with the tea party and the kids were settled in for the night all of the adults finished preparing things for the ball. Then headed to bed themselves. Travis came in late that night and went straight to his room and passed out.

The next morning everyone was up and rushing around making sure everything was in place for the ball. Bianca had put on Owen's baby sling and placed him in it so she could have the use of both hands while getting the kids ready for the ball.

Solara and Draven had come up from their cottage that they built towards the back of the castle gardens to lend a hand with the finishing touches. Their children had either moved back to Harmonia or were attending the Academy for Supernatural Beings in Deadwood.

Samuel and Abigail had turned the old king's quarters into their own apartment that way they were right there with all of their children and grandchildren enjoying every second of their lives.

“Will one of you please go wake up your brother he has been sleeping all day.” Abigail said as she walked into the den where Brody, Damien, Lance, Stephen and Draven were congregating.

“I'm not going to wake the bear.” Lance said looking up his mother. “I'm in the middle of this game.” Damien replied. “Me too.” Draven added. “Technically he's not my brother and I would but I'm afraid he will attack me.” Stephen smiled.

“I swear you four are a bunch of pansies, I'll do it mom.” Brody smiled standing up and hugging her. “That is why you are king son you do all the dirty work.” she smiled as he walked thru the door.

“No he is king because he was the first born son.” Damien smirked. “The fates knew he would be perfect for the job so they gave him to us first.” She smiled leaving the den. “That was a good one I have to give it to her for an older woman she is pretty witty.” Draven laughed.

“Whatever she's not going to help you win this game.” Damien teased. “Travis wake up mom is getting mad that you are still in bed.” Brody yelled pounding on his door. He was answered by a muffled grunt. “Don't make me come in there and throw you out of bed.” Brody threatened.

He waited a few minutes and still nothing so he went inside. “Oh um I'm sorry.” Brody said shielding his eyes as he realized his baby brother was tangled up in the sheets with someone. “I swear a little privacy would be nice.” Travis yelled as he quickly covered himself and his partner up.

“I just assumed you were in here sleeping I never expected you to have a guest with you.” Brody replied. “I guess since you have already caught us I will let you know that I found my mate as I was leaving school to come back home. We literally ran into each other.” Travis grinned.

“I am so happy for you but why didn't you tell Damien that you were bringing her?” he asked as he turned his back so they could get clothes back on. “I wanted to surprise all of you seeing as we thought it wasn't ever going to happen.” Travis said jumping out of bed.

“I'm dressed now.” the girl said. “I really am sorry I never meant to interrupt anything I just didn't know.” Brody said turning back around. “It's okay brother but I would like for you to meet my mate, Natalia.” Travis beamed when he spoke her name. It made Brody think back to when he first realized Bianca was his mate.

“It is nice to meet you Natalia.” Brody smiled kissing the back of her hand. “I can't believe I am standing before the king.” she bowed. “There is no need for that we are family.” Brody smiled pulling her into a hug.

“Alright now that's enough of that.” Travis growled. “Oh sorry I forgot what it was like to be going thru the extremely possessive stage.” Brody smiled. “I'm sorry I just can't help it.” Travis replied pulling his mate back into his arms. “No worries brother in time it will get easier trust me.” Brody patted him on the back.

“I will leave you two to get ready for the ball now.” Brody smiled walking out the door. He made his way down the corridor to his room where he found Bianca struggling to get the twins dressed while feeding Owen.

“Here let me feed him while you finish getting their clothes on them.” Brody smiled taking Owen from her. “Thank you sweetheart I can't seem to find Hope anywhere to help me.” she said turning to finish lacing up Hannah's ball gown.

“I'm sure she is just getting ready dear.” Brody reassured her. “I hope so.” she sighed buttoning up Oliver's shirt. Once she finished getting the twins dressed she put Owen's little tuxedo on and put her ball gown on.

Once they were all ready they made their way towards the ballroom. “Has anyone seen Hope we can't enter without her.” Bianca said looking around frantically. “She was out in the garden a little while ago talking with some guy.” Solara spoke up as her and Draven joined the others.

“Did you recognize him?” Brody asked becoming worried. “I didn't get a good look at him mainly just seen the back of his head.” she replied. “Thanks Sol, sweetheart I'll be right back I'm going to go check on Hope.” Brody said kissing Bianca on the cheek before running off.

“Princess is everything alright?” he asked sitting beside her. “Yea just thinking how much I'm going to miss this place and all of you.” she smiled up at him. “I know sweetheart but we will be able to come and visit you until you fully become a guardian, Aunt Sol said that she saw you out here with man who was it?” Brody asked.

“Oh that was Lycan he wanted to let me know that he would be here in the morning to escort me to Harmonia himself. He said that it has been a long time since one of his direct descendants had been chosen as a guardian.” she smiled.

“Oh sweetie that is amazing and the highest honor. I am so thankful he is going with you because I have been stressing over you taking the journey on your own for awhile.” he smiled hugging her.

“I know and I am glad he is going with me I just can't believe tomorrow morning I will be leaving.” she said as a few tears made their way down her cheeks. “I promise we will always be with you no matter what Lycan has already said he will make sure we can come visit you whenever we want.” he said standing up.

“I know daddy it's just going to be hard I mean I won't be here to watch the twins and Owen grow up not to mention Tanner, Cole, Braxton and the new baby Auntie Sarah is going to have.” she replied.

“Sweetheart we will keep in touch and send you lots of pictures of all of us.” he reassured her. “Alright we better get back inside otherwise mom is going to have a fit.” she laughed standing up.

“Yes she will.” he agreed wrapping his arm around her shoulders pulling her close to him. No matter how strong he seemed about Hope going to Harmonia deep down he was breaking into pieces his baby girl was going to be leaving the nest and he wasn't ready to let her go even if she was fulfilling her destiny.

He felt as if he was being robbed of his time with her but he knew she had to go she didn't have a choice and was born with a purpose. He knew Bianca was going to have a hard time as well even if they had thirteen years to prepare for this day it still doesn't make it any easier on them.

“Is everything okay sweetheart?” Bianca asked as Brody and hope joined everyone in lining up to be announced. “Yep I was just talking with Lycan about tomorrow mom no biggie.” Hope smiled taking her place in between the Oliver and Hannah.

The three of them held hands as they watched their parents and baby brother walk down the stairs to their throne. Hope was called first then right after was the twins they smiled and waved at all of their guests as they made their way down the staircase to sit beside their parents.

The rest of the royal family was called out once they were all seated at the royal family table the ball began. They started with a feast then moved on to dancing and presents. Everyone was having a blast. Travis introduced Natalia to the family during the feast to which they welcomed her with open arms.

They all enjoyed their time together dancing the night away which for Bianca and Brody was just them trying to take the pain away from their baby girl leaving in the morning. Hope had a blast dancing with all of her cousins and uncles along with the new prince from the adjoining vampire kingdom.

She felt a pull to him that couldn't be explained but she knew he couldn't possibly be her mate seeing as Guardians didn't have mates but there was something about Prince Erik that made her go crazy.

“Mom something isn't right I think Prince Erik is my mate but I'm not supposed to have a mate am I?” she asked her mom frantic. “Not that I know of Guardians are paired together by their species not intermingled.” Bianca replied. “Then why do I feel like I'm being pulled to him?” Hope asked beginning to worry something was really wrong.

“I don't know we need to find Uncle Draven and Grandpa Samuel they will have more answers than I can give you.” Bianca said leading Hope back upstairs towards the balcony where she had seen Samuel and Abigail last.

“Is something wrong?” Brody sent Bianca thru their mind link. “Not sure but Hope thinks she just found her mate.” Bianca replied. “That can't be.” Brody said as he made his way towards them. “I know that's why we are looking for Samuel and Draven.” Bianca said shutting her link off.

“Your Majesty I think we need to talk.” Prince Erik bowed as he approached him. “Not right now son I am having a family matter that needs to be dealt with first.” Brody replied walking past him.

“Sir I think your daughter is my mate.” Prince Erik said following him. “What which daughter?” Brody asked stopping dead in his tracks. “Hope, sir, I know she is supposed to be leaving tomorrow to become a Guardian but I can feel it deep within my soul that she is mine.” he said.

“How did you know she is going to be a Guardian?” Brody asked confused. “Because I can see the glow she puts off a glow only Guardians of the lost city have.” he answered him. “How can you see that?” Brody asked even more confused. “I am also a Guardian.” he answered him.

“Aren't you paired with someone from your own kind?” Brody asked him as they walked up the stairs. “No something happened and there was only one from my species picked this year.” he replied as they reached where everyone was.

Prince Erik made his way to Hope where he wrapped his arm around her waist. He couldn't help himself he felt the need to make it known that she was his and his alone. Hope didn't mind him holding her close because his touch seemed to put her at ease and all her worries faded away.

“Amazing.” Lycan said appearing from behind everyone who was trying to figure out what was going on. “How is this possible?” Bianca asked him. “My dear child due to Hope's unique mixed life force she is able to not only be a Guardian but be a mated Guardian just as Erik.” Lycan explained.

“It is true I am the offspring of a human and a vampire.” Erik added. “As she is the offspring of a wolf and human.” Lycan nodded towards Hope. “So are they going to be able to be Guardians together or will they be separated and paired with their own kind?” Brody asked.

“They will be together we won't separate true mates.” Lycan reassured them. “I can't believe my baby girl has found her mate.” Bianca said pulling them into her arms. “I promise I will always protect her and keep her safe.” Erik said shaking Brody's hand. “I know you will son.” Brody smiled pulling him into a hug.

The rest of the night was spent celebrating the twins birthday and the newest additions to the family. Even Lycan danced and enjoyed himself of course no one knew who he truly was except those he allowed to know.

The next morning everyone was out in the gardens saying their goodbyes to Hope, Erik and Lycan. “I promise mom I will write you every chance I get.” Hope reassured Bianca for the fifth time. “Erik make sure she eats right and takes care of herself.” Bianca said turning to him. “I promise, your majesty, she will eat as she should and will be well taken care of.” he said hugging her.

“I know you will and please call me Mom.” Bianca beamed at her daughters mate. “Yes ma'am.” Erik smiled as he pulled his Hope back into his arms. “I promise as soon as Auntie Sarah has the baby we will all be coming to see you.” Damien smiled hugging the couple.

“Take care of them for me.” Hope said as they pulled apart. “No worries I will.” Damien smiled. “Remember no tea parties until you come to see me.” Hope teased as she hugged Lance and Stephen. “I can't make any promises but I will try my best.” Lance joked.

Once she finished hugging everyone she felt herself being pulled tightly into her dad's arms. “Daddy I'm going to miss you so much.” she cried. “I know angel I am going to miss you too.” Brody replied squeezing her tighter. “I have to go daddy please take care of mom and the kids.” Hope said wiping away her tears.

“You know that I will princess take care of yourselves and each other.” Brody said hugging Erik. “We will daddy, I love you all of you.” Hope smiled turning around walking towards the woods arm in arm with Erik.

“No worries I will be watching over them at all times.” Lycan reassured everyone. Brody pulled Bianca and Owen into his arms as each of them placed an arm around Oliver and Hannah pulling them closer to them.

They stood there watching Hope until they couldn't see her anymore and even then they stayed there holding each other watching as one of their own made their own way and went off to fulfill her destiny as each of them had done.

The day Bianca gave birth to Hope and was banished by her family had turned out to be the best day of her life. If it hadn't been for that day paving the way for her happily ever after she might never of met Brody and had the best family in the world.

For Brody doing as his father ordered him and his brothers to do by making them act as regular citizens amongst the humans and wolves was the best thing he could have ever done. His job at the department store not only brought him Bianca and Hope but also helped him get his mother and sister back.

Bianca and Brody's love paved the way for others who are mated or even choose to be with someone from outside of their own species. Laws were changed throughout the land ensuring the safety of those who choose their own path not letting society tell them what is right or wrong.
