Chapter Thirty Eight: Taking Down The King

The next morning everyone awoke to Abigail cooking a large breakfast. “Something smells wonderful, mom.” Brody smiled kissing her on the cheek as he walked into the kitchen. “I figured I would make us something to keep us full and also to take along with us on our journey back to the castle.” She smiled as the others piled into the kitchen.

“You should have woke me up so I could have helped you, Mrs. Michaels.” Bianca smiled. “You need your sleep dear and it is mom.” Abigail grinned pulling her into a hug. “At least let me help set the table, mom.” Bianca replied as she pulled out of the embrace.“That's better and I suppose you can help with that.” she smiled handing her a stack of plates.

“Is there anything I can help with?” Sarah asked from the doorway. “You can help your sister by placing the silverware on the table.” Abigail said shooting her a smile. “Sure now where is it?” she asked opening random drawers.

“The drawer to the left of the sink.” Solara answered as she grabbed glasses out of the cabinet. “Now this is definitely a sight I could get used to.” Brody smiled from the table. “I agree seeing them all working together for the first time is really nice.” Draven grinned.

Once they had finished eating Brody, Draven and Samuel started preparing their packs with different tools and weapons that may help them during the battle. The women cleaned up the kitchen and packed the food into containers placing them all in a pack.

“Kids make sure to pack enough clothes in your packs to last a few days.”Solara hollered upstairs where they were packing. They all finished packing everything they were told to and met up in the living room.

“I think we have everything we need for the trip to the cabin.” Abigail said as she sat down. “Good we have packed all the necessary tools and weapons for the trip and battle.” Samuel said sitting beside her.

“If everyone has everything they need I say we get on the road before we lose more daylight.” Draven smiled taking Solara's hand in his. “I agree the sooner we get on the road the better.” Brody added.

“B, remember if you need help with Hope just let me know and I will carry her on my back.” Sarah smiled. “I will I wish you could just carry both of us.” Bianca laughed. “Nope not strong enough but one day I will be able to.” Sarah grinned as they headed out the door.

In no time they found themselves facing the rock wall they had come through the day before. “So how do we make this thing work to leave?” Bianca asked Draven. “Place your hand right in the center of it and think about moving to the other side of it.” he replied.

Bianca did as he said and within seconds a waterfall was gushing down behind her and the cave was in front of her. “It worked.” She squealed with excitement. “Of course it did.” Draven laughed as the others followed him into the cave.

Once Bianca made her way into the cave the waterfall was gone and a rock wall was present again. She was amazed at how well the hidden entrance worked. They continued through the caves and into the woods before deciding to stop and take a break to eat some of the food they had brought with them.

“How are you holding up babe?” Brody asked as he sat beside her and Hope. “I'm alright just glad we decided to stop and eat I'm starving.” She kissed him. “That's because you have a very strong pup growing within you.” He grinned rubbing her stomach.

“You too are so cute together.” Solara cooed. “I am so thankful that my son found his mate and not only is she beautiful but she is so loving and caring.” Abigail added. “Don't forget she also brought us Hope.” Solara grinned. “Of course I can't forget my sweet Hope.” Abigail smiled hugging Hope.

“I hate to rush everyone but it is starting to get dark and we need to reach the cabin before it gets too late.” Draven said standing up. “I agree especially having the women and children with us it's just safer if we try to get to the cabin sooner than later.” Samuel said helping pack up the food.

A few hours later they were arriving to the cabin. The men did a check of the area to ensure no one was lurking before they let the women and kids go into the cabin. Bianca, Hope and Sarah were engulfed in two sets of arms as they walked thru the door.

“I am so glad you are okay, we have been so worried about you.” the Daniels said squeezing them tightly. “We won't be if you don't let us go.” Sarah laughed. “Sorry we thought we had lost you three forever.” Tanya said wiping the tears from her eyes.

“You should have known you couldn't get rid of us that easily.” Bianca teased as she moved to sit on the couch. “So I see you brought back more people with you.” she replied sitting between Bianca and Sarah.

“Yep we sure did.” Sarah answered her. “Oh my gosh it's Queen Abigail.” Tanya gasped as she walked through the door. “We found her and Princess Solara along with these three.” Bianca grinned pointing towards the kids.

“B-b-but they were killed by a hunter.” Tanya stuttered. “No we weren't killed we were spared because the king didn't want me being mated to a human.” Solara spoke up. “I couldn't bring myself to kill my son's mate.” Samuel added.

“It is truly a miracle that you are alive.” Tanya bowed. “There is no need for that we are all family here.” Abigail smiled pulling her into a hug. “I say we get the kids to bed and fill them in on our plans.” Brody suggested.

They put all the kids to bed and filled the Daniels in on their plan of attack. Once the Daniels had confirmed that no one had been out there to the cabin or surrounding area since Draven attacked them and took Hope Samuel and Brody decided it was time to put their plan into action.

They pushed off waiting few days and moved forward with Brody returning home as if he were just coming back from the mission his father had sent him on. While he was filling his father in on what he found Damien was moving Samuel and Draven into the castle thru the hidden tunnels.

“What do you mean they were taken? Why didn't you tell me?” Brody screamed at his father. “Son I tried but I couldn't get thru with our mind link and your phone was going straight to voicemail.” King Albert replied.

“Did you send anyone to look for them?” Brody asked frantic. “Yes I sent the best of the royal guards to search the woods around the cabin but they came back empty.” he replied. “That's not good enough they should still be out there looking for them that is my family, my life.” Brody started crying.

“I know son, I am sorry but Draven Keetes took them and as you know he is the best of the best when it comes to hunters.” King Albert said hugging Brody. “Just leave me be I need to mourn my mate and daughter.” Brody replied pushing his father away and going to his room.

“Good work brother he bought it.” Damien sent through his mind link. “Thanks now where are we on finding those who will back us?” Brody replied. “As of right now all of the servants and staff are on our side it helps that Samuel has up to date pictures of mom and Solara.” he replied.

“Once we get all our followers out we are going to bring mom in to confront father.” Brody said as he listened for anyone outside of his room. “Are we sure that's a good idea?” Damien asked. “I think it will throw him completely off his game but before we do I want the twins to be taken to the cabin with the others.” Brody said.

“Alright I will take them to the cabin and bring mom back to the castle with me.” Damien said cutting off his link with Brody. “Babe how are you guys doing?” Brody sent Bianca thru their link.

“We're find more and more people have shown up out here and some of us are getting a little nervous about so many knowing where we are hiding.” she replied. “It's okay babe they are all on our side trust me I wouldn't send them if they weren't.” he reassured her.

“I trust you babe and I love you I'm going to lay down with Hope and get some rest while I can.” Bianca replied cutting off their link. “I can't believe my mom and sister are really there with you babe.” Damien sent to Sarah as he was moving people thru the tunnels. “I know I can't wait until you get to see them.” she replied.

“Me either sweetheart until then please keep our family safe.” he said. “I will my love I promise.” she replied before he shut their link off. He couldn't chance the king tapping into his link with anyone else.

“Mom, we can't let the twins know you are here because they can't protect their thoughts from father completely and we can't take a chance on them alerting him to our whereabouts.” Solara said. “I want to see my babies.” she cried.

“I know mom but this is the only way we can ensure our safety and yours.” Solara said as she ushered her out of the cabin. Damien was leading Travie and Lance the opposite way around to the cabin then what Solara and Abigail were taking to the castle to make sure they didn't see each other.

Once the twins were safely in the cabin with the others Damien met up with his mother and sister. “Oh son I have missed you so much.” Abigail cried pulling him into her arms. “I know mom I have missed you and Sol very much I still can't believe you are truly here.” Damien cried as they all hugged.

“I can't wait until father has been taken down and we can be a family again.” Solara cried. “I agree our family will finally be whole again.” Damien said pulling out of their hug. “I have to go now son but soon we will be together without any worries.” Abigail said heading towards Samuel.

Damien walked Solara back to the cabin where they introduced her as Draven's mate to the twins. He had the strongest of the servants and staff follow him back to the castle to back Brody and Samuel up and also help ensure his mother's safety.

“Dad what is going on at the castle?” Bianca sent her father thru their link. “Brody told me to stay in my room and I can't seem to find your mother anywhere.” he replied. “Have you tried using your link?” she asked. “Yes I can't get thru she is blocking me out.” he answered.

“Dad she isn't on our side she has been working with the King since Brody and I showed up to your house the day he saved my life.” she said. “That can't be.” Mr. Stone replied. “I'm sorry but it is we have proof and I hate to say it but you need to let her go because if she tries to fight us she will fail.” Bianca replied.

Her father never sent anything back to her. Bianca was beginning to freak out because she couldn't get thru to anyone. Everyone reassured her that they were all okay just busy putting their plan into action but she still felt like something bad was going to happen.

Brody met up with his mother and Samuel before taking them to where Damien and the others were waiting. Meanwhile Mr. Stone was going to find his wife to confront her about the accusations Bianca had against her.

He ended up running into Queen Abigail causing him to freeze in shock. “You-you-your majesty you're alive.” he said bowing. “Yes I am and who might you be?” she asked having him stand up. “I am the father of your son's mate.” he answered her.

“Mr. Stone what are you doing I thought I told you to stay in your room?” Brody said as he realized what had made them stop. “You did but Bianca reached out to me and told me things about my wife that I have to find out whether they are true or not.” he replied.

“I can assure you they are true and we are here to overthrow my father, now you can join us if you'd like or go back to your room Bianca will kill me if something happens to you.” Brody said wrapping his arm around his shoulders.

“I would like to join you at least until I find my wife then her and I will go to safety together.” he replied. “Okay that is fine with us.” Samuel stated joining the conversation. “Did you hear that?” Draven asked shushing everyone.

“What?” Brody asked going on alert. “It sounds like a man and woman talking or joking around.” Draven said walking towards the voices. They followed him making sure not to make any noises of their own.

When they approached the throne room doors Mr. Stone shifted as he heard his wife whimpering. Brody and the other wolves instantly shifted bursting thru the doors only to find Mrs. Stone sitting on King Albert's lap with him biting her neck.

Too stunned to react by the intrusion they froze in their seat. Mrs. Stone recognized her husbands wolf instantly as did the king. “No it can't be you're dead.” King Albert said as Abigail approached him.

“Honey I'm so sorry it's not what it seems he threatened to kill you if I didn't cooperate.” Mrs. Stone pleaded with her husbands wolf. He snarled and kept walking towards her. Everyone turned back into their human forms to face each other.

“I can't believe you would do this to me, to our family.” Mr. Stone said as he stared his wife down. “Hello Albert, I wish I could say it is nice to see you but that would be a lie.” Abigail smirked. “I thought you killed her?” King Albert looked around her at Samuel.

“Nope I couldn't bring myself to killing such a caring beautiful woman all because you felt as if she was in the wrong for helping her daughter be with her mate.” Samuel smiled wrapping his arm around Abigail's waist.

“I assume my traitor daughter is alive as well?” King Albert asked. “Oh yes and she is doing quite well, I'm glad you seem so worried about her.” Draven said stepping forward. “Oh and don't worry my mate and daughter are doing just fine as well father.” Brody smiled.

“Son I was only doing what was best for you and the kingdom.” he pleaded with Brody. “No father you were doing what made you happy you haven't cared about anyone's happiness except your own for a long time.” Brody snapped.

As they subdued the king they didn't see the royal guards coming up behind them until it was too late. “NOW!” King Albert ordered as he shifted along with his guards. Brody, Damien and Mr. Stone shifted as soon as they realized what was going on.

King Albert lunged for Samuel only to have Abigail charge him protecting Samuel while the others fought the guards. Brody turned to help his mother get his father under control not seeing one of the guards coming at him he was knocked off his feet.

Mr. Stone jumped in front of Brody as the wolf was going for the kill taking the hit. Within minutes he was laying on the floor in his human form bleeding out from his throat. Brody snapped the neck of the wolf then shifted before approaching Mr. Stone.

“Thank you so much sir you saved my life.” Brody said kneeling beside him. “Take care of my baby for me.” Mr. Stone gurgled before he took his last breath. Brody held him for a minute longer before jumping up and shifting.

Mrs. Stone was in complete shock by her mate being killed, her heart felt like it had been ripped from her chest so out of madness she threw herself in front of one of the wolves that were going in for the kill. In a matter of minutes the wolf had ripped her throat out of her body.

Damien shifted when he realized what he had done. He couldn't believe she had just thrown herself right in front of him when he was going in for the kill on one of the guards. He knew Bianca wouldn't ever forgive him and he felt terrible but at the same time knew that Mrs. Stone was a very terrible woman.

He shifted to go help his brother and mother take out his father. The three wolves had the king cornered when he shifted back into his human form. “I give up I have no one left to help me so just finish me off.” he said staring Abigail in the eyes.

She slowly moved towards him only for Samuel to get in between them and punching the king in the face. “You don't deserve the quick way out the rest of your days will be spent in solitude away from all life forms.” he smirked.

“What do you have in mind?” Brody asked shifting. “Lycan informed me before we left that he made a special cell in the dungeons of the castle there where people like Albert here will rot away slowly and painfully.” Samuel smiled.

“Sounds like the perfect place for him.” Damien added. “Let's get this place cleaned up and let our families come home.” Brody smiled as they drug Albert out of the throne room. “Brody I killed Bianca's mother man she is going to hate me forever.” Damien said as they moved their father down to the dungeons until they could move him to the special place Lycan made.

“Don't worry we won't let her know what happened I have enough to deal with seeing as her father was killed protecting me.” Brody frowned. “I just hope she can forgive us.” Damien replied as they made their way to the cabin to bring them back home.
