Chapter Twenty Eight: Finally

It has been a few days since Brody left and things had actually been going good around the castle as the preparations for the coronation ball are well underway keeping everyone busy.

Bianca was having a great time especially having the Daniels there to make things more homier. Hope was beside herself having her papa and nana close again. They made sure everyday to take time out of the hustle and bustle to spend with each other as a family something they had all missed since Bianca and Hope moved back to Deadwood from Equality to live with Brody and his brothers.

The best part about everything was how the king managed to stay busy and not bother anyone with dinner being the only time they ever saw him. The castle had started to feel like home more and more with each day but the one thing missing was Brody which deep down was killing Bianca.

Everyday that passed she felt another piece of her heart break. She hadn't heard from him once since he left and she hated it she had so many things she wanted to tell him but couldn't. Times like these made her wish they had a mind link.

One night she was dreaming about Brody as usual but this time she woke up in a cold sweat because instead of her usually cheerful dreams of him she dreamed he was being attacked by a group of hunters.

She was crying when she woke up because the dream had been so lifelike. She swore she even heard Brody crying out to her but she figured that was her mind playing tricks on her and brushed it off.

She decided that sleep was out of the question so she grabbed her robe and decided to walk out to the gardens. As she was walking thru the gardens she still kept hearing Brody's voice it was really starting to upset her because she couldn't figure out why her mind was playing such a mean trick on her.

She decided to shift into her wolf and run for a bit around the gardens making sure to stay close to the castle in case something happened she could call out for help. While she was letting her wolf out to run she sensed Brody's wolf was restless. It was strange because the whole time he had been away she hadn't felt any of his emotions.

Her wolf was excited that she tried to send her mate a nudge in the form of a wave of emotions. When their mate sent them back Bianca and her wolf were beside themselves. Bianca immediately shifted back and put her clothes on.

She decided to sit on a bench and try to contact Brody herself with her emotions. She was beside herself when he sent them back yet again. “How can this be?” she thought to herself at least she thought it was to herself.

“Mind Link.” was the reply she got from Brody. “Wait you heard me?” she sent back. “Yes I did which means one thing.” he grinned to himself as he realized what their mind link meant. “I'm pregnant.” Bianca sent back to him.

“Have to be it's the only way for this to be working.” he replied. “Unless I'm dreaming.” she said pinching herself. “Nope definitely not a dream.” she laughed rubbing her arm. “This is the best news ever I wish I could be there with you right now.” he replied.

“I am so thankful this has finally happened for us I was beginning to think it wasn't ever going to happen that maybe Patrick was meant to be my mate since I read in our book that mates can only produce offspring.” she replied crying.

“Obviously that's not true seeing as how you are my mate no doubt about it and you had a child with him but either way it doesn't matter we are going to have a pup of our own to add to our little family.” he cheered.

“Yes we are I just wish you were here with me to tell our daughter and family.” she frowned. “Why don't we wait to tell everyone until after I get back that way we have a way of secretly communicating in case something does happen we will have a form of an advantage.” he replied.

“Good thinking babe, why are you shivering?” he asked feeling a wave of cold come over him. “I'm outside in the garden I had a nightmare so I decided to come out here.” she replied rubbing her arms.

“Nightmare huh? I had one too what was yours about?” he asked. “You were surrounded by hunters.” she said as despair took her over. “That's crazy because in mine you were be hunted by Draven Keetes.” he replied.

“So what do they mean?” she asked worried. “Nothing I think we were just feeding off each others thoughts that's all.” he replied putting her at ease. “That makes perfect sense.” she replied. “I am so happy that we can communicate like this and even more excited that I'm going to be a father.” Brody beamed.

“I know babe it's the best day ever but it will be even better when you are home to share the experience with me.” she replied as she started towards the castle. “I agree but for now I'll take what I can get and what's better than being able to communicate using our mind link.” he laughed.

“I agree man I am wore out does using our mind link take a lot of energy or something?” she yawned. “Not usually but being pregnant might cause you to be tired.” he replied. “True especially in the beginning.” she yawned again. “Babe I think you need to get some sleep so I will get a hold of you in the morning.” Brody yawned himself.

“Alright you need to get your rest as well I look forward to hearing from you in the morning.” she replied as she walked into their room. “Sweet dreams angel, I love you.” he replied. “I love you too babe.” she said collapsing on their bed.

She was beyond excited she figured she must have gotten pregnant the night before Brody left when his wolf took charge. Normally she wouldn't have known she was pregnant until at least a month after the deed but seeing as their mind link had opened up they both just knew that was the cause.

She awoke the next morning feeling refreshed and happy for the first time since Brody had found out that he had to leave she was truly happy. She decided to go lay in bed with Hope for a little while and just enjoy the time with her daughter.

She wanted to tell her so bad that she was going to be a big sister but she respected Brody's wish for them to do it together once he came home. As she was walking to Hope's room she heard a strange noise coming from the twins room across the hall.

She knocked on the door only to hear some kind of commotion so she pushed her way through the door only to see a blushing Sarah and once again Damien was tangled up in sheets in the floor.

“I swear you two can't just be normal and use your own rooms?” Bianca laughed. “We have to keep things a secret you know that.” Sarah smiled. “Yeah and besides that what is up with you just walking in on people?” Damien said as he wrestled around in the floor.

“I did knock and I thought something was wrong with the twins had no clue you two would be in here.” she laughed. “Don't tell anyone because the twins don't even know we are in here.” Damien smirked.

“I swear if I find out you two have been in my room I swear you both will be fixed.” she laughed shutting the door. Bianca crossed the hall to her daughter's room only to see that she was already up and having a tea party with Lance.

“Care if I join you two?” she asked bowing seeing as Hope was wearing her tiara as she did everyday from the time she woke up to the time she passed out and Bianca had to take it off her head.

“Sure mommy there's always room for you.” Hope beamed. “Aww thanks sweetheart.” she said sitting down beside her. “So how are you this morning?” Lance asked. “I feel great I think my early morning run really did me and my wolf some good.” she smiled at him.

“I was going to say I thought I seen you in the gardens this morning.” he replied. “Yeah I wasn't sleeping well so I decided to head out there and see if it helped any.” she replied taking a sip of her tea. “The gardens are a good place to go for a walk that's for sure.” he smiled taking a sip of his tea.

“Yes they are, so where's Travis this morning?” she asked noticing the extra cup set out. “Not sure he was gone before I even got out of bed this morning.” Lance replied. “I'm sure he'll turn up sooner or later knowing him he's downstairs harassing the kitchen staff.” Bianca smiled knowing that Travis loved to flirt with all the female staff especially those in the kitchen.

“Yea most likely knowing him.” Lance grinned. Once they finished their tea party Bianca decided to take Hope and round up everyone for a brunch picnic in the gardens. Everyone could tell she was really happy today they didn't dare question why to keep from her going back to a sulky mood.

But she couldn't help but to be happy because Brody was constantly in her head being his usual awnry self. She was all smiles from the time she woke up to the time she went to bed. She noticed that her good mood had rubbed off on everyone around her which made her even happier.

As they said their good nights thru their link and went to sleep they couldn't have been happier but little did they know the king had been planning, plotting and putting things into motion to ruin their lives forever or so he hoped.
