Chapter Twenty Six: Moving Day

A week after Damien had come clean about his involvement in his fathers plans to keep Bianca and Brody from getting married Bianca found herself reluctantly loading box after box of her possessions into a moving truck.

She hadn't been feeling the greatest knowing that they were moving into the castle with the king but she knew it had to be done. She had been having stomach issues since the night of their graduation party but they knew she wasn't expecting because not only would she be sense the baby but Brody would be to as well so they chalked it up to stress.

Sarah was still giving Damien the silent treatment but he was just thankful that she was still going to move with them to the castle. They told his father that she was coming along to work as Hope's nanny to cover the fact she was Damien's mate.

Which it was obvious that there was a lot of tension between them but they knew the king would just assume it was due to her being a halfling and Damien's hatred of them. Damien had been keeping his distance from Bianca since the night he came clean.

She had already threatened that if he came anywhere near her or Hope she would make sure he wouldn't see the light of day. So he steered clear of both of them to save from fighting with Bianca.

He decided that instead of pushing the issue of sleeping in the same room as Sarah that he would just give her the room next to Hope's and he would sleep in his old room which was just down the hall so he could still keep an eye on her.

“Brody I can't take this stress anymore I can't keep anything down and I swear it's starting to cause me to weaken.” Bianca whimpered as she came out of the bathroom. “I know babe we are going to see a special doctor for our kind once we get to the castle.” Brody said pulling her into his arms.

“I hope that they can figure out what is wrong with me and fix it before it gets any worse.” she said nuzzling into his neck. “I'm sure they will we just have to get there first.” he grinned. “Why can't we have our own castle?” she asked looking up at him.

“We need to stay there until we are married to keep an eye on father along with the fact that once we become king and queen we will have to stay there to reign over our kingdom.” Brody smiled kissing her.

“Royal life is going to be a pain in the ass.” she giggled as he nibbled on her collarbone. “It's not all that bad trust me it can be lots of fun especially this day and age there isn't much ruling mainly deal making which I can say I am very good at doing.” he smirked.

“I think it's more like bribery than deal making.” she laughed as he tackled her to the floor. “Must be nice to be playing instead of packing.” Damien grunted as he passed their room with boxes in his arms. “We are taking a small break.” Brody yelled after him.

“Wish I was allowed to take a break.” he replied. “You blew that when you turned on your future king.” Brody said through their mind link. “Yea I know are you ever going to stop reminding me it's bad enough my own mate refuses to touch me because what I have done I don't need the constant reminder.” Damien replied back before shutting off his link.

“As much as I don't care for Damien give the poor guy a break he is going through hell right now Sarah hasn't spoken a word to him since last week when he came clean and I can only imagine what that must be like for him.” Bianca piped up glaring at Brody.

“Did you just hear our conversation?” Brody asked hopeful because that meant one thing. “No, I know you and I can sense the hostility when you are speaking to him.” she replied. “Oh well he deserves what he gets.” Brody said before leaving the room.

Bianca knew he was having a hard time dealing with his brother's betrayal but even more with what his fathers had done and was planning on doing to them. Brody was close to his family and it killed him that they would do something so terrible to him and his new family.

She was thankful that Brody was sidetracked with his own emotions because she didn't want him to see how much it upset her every time anything was mentioned that could be linked to her being pregnant he would brighten up and smile real big until she reminded him that she wasn't then he would get that same disappointed frown on his face.

Bianca knew he wanted nothing more than for a pup of his own even if he cherished Hope as is she were his. Mates were meant to find each other and start their own family that's just how their kind worked that's what they were meant to do in their lives.

Bianca had started to wonder that is her getting pregnant with Hope was a sign that maybe she was meant to be with Patrick because she had been reading that mates could only produce offspring. She hadn't told Brody about what she had found because she was scared that he would leave her behind.

When she had thoughts of that not only did it scare her but she would begin to think that it would be best for her and Hope to take off and not look back just as she had planned before her and Brody realized they were mates.

She had confided in Sarah about all of her crazy ideas and Sarah just told her that no matter what she did she was going with her. They both knew it would be hard to leave their mates along with the constant sickness that would follow from them leaving but it seemed like a better idea then being trapped in a castle with the king.

“Bianca it's time to go.” Sarah said walking into the room carrying Hope. “Already? I was hoping we had a few more hours before we had to get on the highway to hell.” Bianca replied standing up. “You and me both but the guys just finished loading the last of our things into the trucks and I was asked to come get you.” she said forcing a smile.

“Mommy please don't be sad I didn't mean to break great grandma's vase.” Hope cried as big crocodile tears formed in her eyes. “Oh no sweetheart I didn't even know that you broke that and it's okay angel I'm just not feeling the greatest today.” she said wrapping her arms tightly around Hope.

“Hey what's going on in here?” Brody asked rushing into the room. “Nothing Hope just told me that she broke my grandma's vase and she thought I was upset.” Bianca replied picking up Hope up.

“Are you sure that is it because the emotions you just had felt like something else is wrong.” he said raising an eyebrow. “Positive I'm just fine.” Bianca said brushing past him. “Wait.” Brody said grabbing Sarah's arm.

“What is she planning on doing?” Brody asked her. “What do you mean?” Sarah asked not sure she even knew how he could tell what Bianca had been thinking. “I know Bianca and I can tell when something is going on with her.” he said not letting go of Sarah's arm.

“She's just stressed out and it is causing her to be extra moody that's all.” Sarah smiled pulling out of his grasp. “I hope there isn't anything you are hiding from that could possibly put her and Hope in danger.” Brody glared down at her.

“You honestly think that I would keep something like that from you?” Sarah asked as if it hurt her that he would think so lowly of her. “You're right you've never held anything like that back before and I think her and I are both stressed and it's affecting our senses.” he smiled before they walked out of the room.

Sarah was scared to death because if he knew that Bianca had been contemplating running away from him he would lock her up and throw away the key. “What took you so long?” Bianca asked as Sarah climbed in the backseat with Hope. “Brody cornered me he can sense that you are hiding something.” she whispered very lightly in Bianca's ear.

“How I have been doing so good keeping that from him.” she whispered back. “I know but you need to really stop thinking about it before he catches on because I don't think he would take you wanting to take Hope and run away very well.” she replied before sitting back.

Bianca knew Sarah was right but what was she supposed to do she had to do whatever it took to keep her daughter and herself alive even if that meant running away form the best thing that had ever happened to her.

“Why don't you ride with us?” Damien asked Sarah through their mind link. But Sarah never replied she just ignored him. “Babe please it is killing me that you are treating me this way not even Brody or Bianca is giving me the silent treatment.” Damien pleaded with her.

“They weren't betrayed by their mate.” she replied through their link. Damien never said anything else. It was killing her inside to keep pushing him away when all she wanted to do was pull him to her and make things right but she couldn't forgive him for what he had done to her family the family she had long before he was ever in the picture.

She knew that she would forgive him one day but it was going to take awhile and right now just wasn't the time. “So are we all ready to get on the road?” Brody asked as he climbed in the drivers seat. “As ready as we'll ever be.” Bianca answered him looking out her window.

He could sense how withdrawn she was with him no matter what anyone said he knew something was going on with her something so big it was even affecting her wolf because his had been howling at him all day long as if to signal their mate was in trouble.

He knew she wasn't happy about moving into the castle but they didn't really have a choice especially since he wanted to keep his family safe. He felt torn because he really wanted to denounce the thrown and take his family and run as far away from his father's kingdom as he could but that was far from possible seeing as his father was the king of all werewolves.

“They are on their way, good I appreciate the call have you been able to track down Draven Keetes yet?” the king asked. “I have your majesty and I gave him the note you had asked me too.” Mrs. Stone replied.

“Good, are you sure they don't suspect anything?” he asked. “Nope as far as I know whatever assumptions they had about us and our involvement were dropped when we staged the attack.” she replied.

“That's great news and what have you heard from Damien?” he asked. “He told me everything was on schedule like planned.” she answered. “Good and what about that friend of your daughter's is she still posing a distraction?” the king pried. “No sir as far as I can tell she has been staying as far from Damien as she can.” she smiled.

“Alright well it sounds like everything is in place for the events ahead so I won't be in contact with you again until you arrive in a few weeks.” the king said hanging up the phone.
