Chapter Twenty Three: The Setup

It had been a few months since Brody proposed to Bianca in front of their families and she couldn't be happier. She forgot all about wishing she was pregnant and just cherished the fact that Brody actually wanted to marry unless you were royals marriage wasn't necessary if you were mates.

A lot of mates would get married just to follow human laws but the mated bond was far stronger than the married one. Graduation was a week away which meant that they would be moving to the castle and start the preparations for their wedding.

They had decided they wanted to have the wedding and crowning ceremony all in the same night to save everyone trips from Deadwood and Equality. Bianca was nervous because she didn't feel comfortable moving into the castle not knowing what the king was up to but Brody always reassured her his father had no intentions of hurting her or Hope.

She wanted to believe him but she knew deep down that his father couldn't be trusted. She tried to reason with Brody but he would always end up kissing her or nibbling on her neck causing her to completely forget what she was talking about.

He knew how to get out of things he didn't want to get into and he did it quite often which neither Bianca nor her wolf minded the intimacy Brody and his wolf were more than happy to provide them.

Bianca was going to school to go over the females part of the graduation ceremony today, they had already finished their classes on Friday knowing that this week was rehearsals for their grand ceremony.

It wasn't a typical graduation the mates would enter the grand hall separately and each set would do a ritual dance specific to their species and then they would be called up couple by couple to the grand stairway where they would be introduced into society as one.

Today Bianca and the other females were learning their part of the dance. She was excited but upset at the same time she was excited to finally be done with school but upset because she would be leaving Sarah behind since she was still stuck as a Second Year Fairy since she hadn't been mated yet.

Sarah had just recently revealed to Bianca who her mate was which came as a shock to everyone because the guy was a complete ass not to mention the fact that he had some role in what was going to happen to her and her daughter.

Sarah admitted that she had even confronted him about it only for him to deny her which was killing her inside. She hadn't wanted to do much of anything since the day he refused to accept her as his mate.

Damien had been hurting just as much as Sarah was but he knew he couldn't accept her as his mate it just wouldn't work out besides she wouldn't want to be with him once she found out what part he has in hurting her family.

He was having a hard time concentrating on anything else but Sarah. He was upset that she hadn't been back around the house and had even started avoiding Bianca just to stay away from him.

His wolf was not happy with him not one bit and he tried on several attempts to take control and claim Sarah but Damien put up a good fight and would conquer his wolf before he got very far.

He knew he would have to see Sarah at the graduation party they were throwing at the house for Brody and Bianca. He was dreading it but looking forward to it all at the same time. He knew he was going to keep his wolf at bay that night no matter how much he wanted to come out.

Bianca had finished practice and headed to Equality to pick Sarah up for a little bit of girl time before she headed home to make supper. “B I don't want to leave the house just let me sleep please.” Sarah begged as Bianca drug her out of bed.

“No, now this is ridiculous you can't let that piece of crap ruin your life I know it sucks when you are rejected but technically he didn't reject you he just fails to recognize you as his mate he is just in denial and until he realizes he can't fight what he feels for you he will continue to be this way.” Bianca growled.

“Whatever it still hurts knowing that he can't see that we are mates.” she whined as she stood up. “What do you expect its Damien.” Bianca laughed. “Yea I know, why I can't I be mated to someone else.” Sarah whined feeling her inner fairy become angry by her words.

Little did Sarah know Bianca and Brody had formed a plan to try and get Damien and Sarah together and alone. “Come on we are going to the club for a little while.” Bianca chimed as she rummaged through Sarah's closet.

“Do we have to?” she whimpered as Bianca through some clothes at her. “Yes it is and I won't be taking no as an answer.” Bianca glared at her. “Fine I just hope you aren't planning on wearing that because they won't let you in if you do.” Sarah said looking Bianca up and down.

“Don't worry I planned on changing once I found the right outfit in your closet.” Bianca smirked. She quickly put an outfit together pairing a purple tank top with a black skirt that came to about her thighs with a pair of black leather knee high boots.

She knew Brody was going to love what she was wearing but she had to keep his being there a secret because then Sarah would know that something was up. They drove to the club in Echo Harbor.

Once they arrived they walked around to the bouncer where Bianca walked right up to him whispered something in his ear and he let them right through without waiting in line. “Impressive so what did you say to get us right in?” Sarah laughed as they walked into the club.

“Nothing major just promised him a private dance in the VIP booth.” Bianca smiled. “Oh you are so bad and such a liar.” Sarah teased. “Hey it worked didn't it?” Bianca said as they made their way to the bar.

In all actuality she told him who she was which was enough for him to let her in knowing that she was soon to be his queen seeing as he was a shifter and that Brody was already inside waiting for her.

They ordered their drinks and sat back watching everyone before Bianca led Sarah towards the VIP area which was where they would run into Brody and Damien. As soon as they were in eye shot of them and Sarah realized who was there she freaked out.

“What the heck is this some kind of setup to try and get Damien and I together?” Sarah asked crossing her arms. “No what are you talking about this is a girls night I figured we would have fun here and what do you mean Damien he is supposed to be at home with Brody.” Bianca said covering for the fact she knew damn well what was going on.

“I think you were lied to because Brody and Damien are right over there.” Sarah said pointing in their direction. “That can't be.” Bianca said dragging her towards them. “What are you doing here and who is at home watching Hope?” Bianca questioned Brody knowing that Bianca was with the twins.

“I convinced the twins to watch her so Damien and I could have a guys night I thought you were going to a movie.” Brody smiled pulling her to him. “I decided we needed to cut loose not sit in a stuffy theater.” Bianca smiled as she nuzzled into his neck.

“Um I think I'm going to head on out.” Damien said once he seen Sarah. “You can't I drove and I'm not giving you my keys after you've been drinking.” Brody grinned at his brother. “Fine then I will leave.” Sarah said turning around. “Nope not you are here to have fun and that is exactly what we are going to do.” Bianca smiled kissing Brody before taking Sarah by the arm and heading to the dance floor.

She knew once she got her out there that she would let the music take over and start dancing. It would only be a matter of time before some random guy would start grinding on them causing the reaction that Brody and Bianca were hoping to get out of Damien.

Brody already knew that guys might come up and hit on Bianca he didn't like it but he was prepared for it since he would do anything to help Bianca make Sarah happy. His wolf on the other hand wasn't too happy about it but he managed to stay in control.

After about three songs a couple guys approached the girls and started dancing with them. Bianca let her uneasiness spill over so Brody would feel it and knowing that was the signal for him to take Damien down to the dance floor.

“Hey I think we need to head to the dance floor and save Bianca and Sarah it seems some random humans have started grinding on them.” Brody snarled as he grabbed Damien by the arm.

“What?” Damien asked causing Brody to point towards the girls. “Oh hell no who does that human think he is.” Damien growled before taking off towards the dance floor. “My thoughts exactly brother.” Brody said following close behind him.

“Excuse me I'd appreciate it if you'd get your grubby hands off my woman.” Damien snarled at the guy causing him to turn around. “I'm sorry she seemed to be having a good time with me not take a hike.” the guy said turning to dance with Sarah some more.

“I'm afraid you didn't hear me correctly she is my mate which makes her mine now I suggest you back the hell off before I become extremely angry.” Damien threatened him. “Okay man sorry no harm no foul.” he said practically running in the other direction.

Bianca watched as Sarah's face lit up when Damien called her his mate. Brody had exchanged a few words with the guy that was dancing with Bianca but it was only for show seeing as he had paid the two guys to dance with the girls but no one knew that except him.

Damien possessively pulled Sarah to him as his wolf took charge causing him to take her to a private area and make his claim. Seeing as she wasn't a wolf their mating process was different than what Brody and Bianca had to go through.

All Damien had to do was accept her, make his mark on her neck and seal the deal by allowing his wolf to mate with her. Which all happened right then and there in the club surprising Brody and Bianca because they just wanted him to admit that they were mates.

As soon as Sarah and Damien resurfaced from the private booth they both were all smiling ear to ear and looked a little disheveled. “Wow talk about not wasting any time.” Bianca laughed as Sarah straightened herself up a bit.

“Hey it sure surprised the hell out of me but I'm definitely not complaining.” Sarah said clinging to Damien. “I think we need to get out of here.”Damien said as he began to notice all the humans in the room and anytime one brushed past them he would start growling especially if they came into contact with Sarah.

“Sure I say we all head back to the house and order some pizza.” Brody said as he wrapped his arm around Bianca heading towards the door. “That sounds like a great idea.” Sarah beamed up at Damien who had his arm around her waist holding her tightly to him.
