Chapter 84

Can couldn't sleep, he was worried about Sanem, it was still kind of early, he decided to go down to the restaurant and grab something to eat and get a drink.

He met up with some of the other photographers he worked with, they were there for mostly the same project but different sights.

CAN: "nice to see you Burak, it's been awhile."

BURAK: "it has, the magazine is keeping me busy, you have been pretty low key what have you been up to.?"

CAN: "Actually I've been working for my father, he's getting older and wants to semi retire, plus I got married and expecting a baby "

BURAK: "that's great Can, I'm really happy for you, that's something I never thought you would do get married and have a family. She must be special."

Can pulled out his wedding picture and showed it to Burak. "Wow, she's beautiful Can, you're a lucky guy! That's what I want, a nice girl to settle down with, actually the girl I'm seeing now is beautiful and smart, I really do care for her. who knows maybe someday."

CAN: "I am very lucky, she is very special, I'm hoping to finish this assignment fast because I want to get back to her, she could have the baby any time."

BURAK: "I don't blame you, are going to be working with the magazine when the babies come?"

CAN: " No, I'm done, my contract is up in four months. I will be doing freelancing more locally. I want to be close to my family."

BURAK: "wow! Can Divit, who would have ever thought you a family man, anyway I'm very happy for you."

CAN: "thanks, well I'm off to bed, I want to be up at first light of day so I can finish the shoot faster. Good night."

Sanem had a hard time sleeping, she hates sleeping alone and she misses Can. "I wonder if he's awake?"

Can is lying in bed when hears his phone, " it's Sanem, is she okay?

CAN: "Bebek are you okay, why are you up so late?"

SANEM: "everything is fine, I just miss you I hate sleeping alone."

CAN: "I miss you too Bebek, listen plug in your phone and keep it on face time and we can watch each other until we fall asleep." Sanem smiled

SANEM: "I love that idea, good night my love"

CAN: " good night princess, and good night to my baby girls!"

Can was up very early the next morning, ready to get started, he told the magazine to tell his assistant to be down in the lobby by 5 in the morning. He grabbed his stuff and headed downstairs.

He grabs some tea in the cafe and turns around and sees Alara standing there, he was shocked. What the hell!" She goes to hug him and kiss him and he pulls back.

ALARA: "well Can. Are you ready to get to work"

CAN: "What the hell are you doing here?"

ALARA: I'm your assistant for the next couple of days, just like old times. Right Can"

CAN: " did you set this up?"

ALARA: "of course I did, you forgot we work for the same magazine."

CAN: "I can't believe you, I thought you started working with someone else?"                                          ALARA: "I did, but my contract was up and I knew you still worked for this one so I came back."                      CAN: "well it's not happening. I don't need an assistant. Good bye.!"

He walks out and gets in the rental and drives away.

Wait till Sanem finds out she's going to be so upset. That bitch, maybe that's why I couldn't commit to her, maybe I felt something was off with her.  I have to call Sanem and let her know, I don't want her finding out from someone else.    Alara was pissed, Can Divit you can't get away from me, I planned this get away and I'm going to have you!!

Can went to his first sight and started taking pictures, it was a couple hours into his work day. Sanem should be up by now, let me give her a call.

SANEM: "good morning my love, how long have you been up?"

CAN: I was up at five, how are you feeling today?"

SANEM: "I'm okay, my back is sore because I didn't have my pillow to lean back on" she starts giggling

CAN: "don't worry bebek I'll be home soon. Listen I have something to tell you and your not going to be happy. Alara is here, she set this whole thing up. She showed up as my assistant, I'm sorry Sanem I had no idea, I didn't even know she was working for the magazine anymore." Sanem was very angry, she couldn't believe it. "Sanem are you okay? If it makes you feel any better I drove off without her and left her at the hotel and told her I don't need an assistant." Starts laughing

SANEM: "it does make me feel better, but she's still there Can, Im sorry Can I don't like it that she's there."

CAN: "Sanem do you trust me?"

SANEM: "I do but I don't trust her.!"

CAN: "don't worry, everything will be fine. But, the magazine might force me to work with her, but I promise, nothing will happen, she can use her own car to go to the sights. Hopefully she won't find me, Bebek, I love you please don't worry."

SANEM: "I trust you Can, but can you please talk to me throughout the day, even if she's there with you, please."

CAN: I will, I promise. She's not here now, let her figure out where I am, hopefully she won't." Sanem smiled " okay let me get back to work and I will talk to you when I get to my next location." They said their goodbyes but Sanem was worried, Miriban came to see how she is this morning.

MIRIBAN: "Sanem, how are you feeling dear, did you eat anything?" She Noticed Sanem was in a daze. "Sanem are you okay. She looks at Miriban with some tears in her eyes. "Sanem what's wrong?" Sanem told her everything that Can told her.

SANEM: I'm worried Miriban, I don't trust her" Miriban looked at her and smiled

MIRIBAN: "Sanem, I wouldn't worry, Can called and told you everything, I think he's more aware now, don't you think?" She smiled

SANEM: "you're right, he did call me, and he said he would call me every time he went to a different site, I do trust him, and I think he will be careful."

MIRIBAN: "there you go dear, it will be fine, let's go to work together, and I'm sure he will call you when he can."

Sanem went to work, but she was feeling very uncomfortable. Her lower back was bothering her, but she didn't say anything to anyone, she thought it's probably the way she slept. Can did call her at his next site as soon as he got there. They talked for a little and they both went back to work.

Can was half way through the day when Alara showed up.

ALARA: "Can, why did you leave me like that!! I'm your assistant, I should be with you!!"

CAN: "I don't need an assistant especially you!! How dear you set something like this up, I don't want to have anything to do with you, you know I'm married and we're having a baby, do you really think that I'm interested in you, well I'm not." Alara was pissed.

ALARA: "Can, I have never forgotten you, i love you."

CAN: "be quiet Alara, what kind of woman tries to come between a couple who love each other and are having a baby? Huh tell me, not a good one that's for sure, I'm done talking to you!! Let's finish our work because I'm leaving first thing in the morning, whether I'm done or not. And the magazine organizers are going to hear it good from me!!" Alara was pissed she couldn't believe him

ALARA: "fine Can, but I love you and don't think I forgot about everything in the Balkins, we were very good together."

CAN: "I guess not that good because I left and I explained everything to you then, and my feelings haven't changed actually they have I really don't like you now at all, maybe I sensed something back then, that you're sneaky, that's why I didn't commit to you, now get to work and make sure you have a car to get to the different sights because you're not coming with me.!"

Can got to the next site and called Sanem and told her everything, she was just happy, that he kept calling her, she could see Alara in the back round trying to get Sanem to see her but Can and Sanem just ignored her.

Can was almost finished with everything, the night time shots were done and they looked great. He booked his flight to leave early in the morning, first flight out eight in the morning.

ALARA: "You finished fast Can, tomorrow we have some more sights, we can take pictures of.  maybe we can have dinner together tonight when we get back to the hotel. Can looked at her and walked away, he got in his car and left.

Alara was so angry, he talked more to his wife than me today. Why her and not me.

Can got back to the hotel, Burak saw him and invited him to have dinner with him.

BURAK: " Can how did it go today, you look kind of frustrated. Is everything okay?"

CAN: "the pictures turned out great, I'm done, I'm taking the first flight out tomorrow."

BURAK: "that's great, but why are you upset?" He looks up were Can is looking. "Wait is that Alara, weren't you with her in the Balkins like a couple?"

CAN "yes, but I broke it of with her back then. do you believe that she set this whole photo shoot up with the magazine so I can be here with her,  if I would've known I would've never showed up the magazine is going to hear about this."

BURAK: "Doesn't she know that you are married?"

CAN: "she knows but she doesn't care, I guess she thinks she can still win me over."

BURAK: "wow Can, I remember her back then, she really liked you.  But she needs to let go."

CAN: "tell her that, my wife knows I told her everything, I've been talking to her through out the day, I feel bad for her, she's pregnant and very close to her due date, and now she has to deal with me being here and on top of that Alara fixed everything so she can be my assistant."

BURAK: " my girlfriend would of had a fit, she met a couple of old girlfriends , accidentally, and let me tell you she was not happy, because just like Alara, some of them think that they still can have us. I feel for you buddy good luck."

CAN: "thanks, I'm going up to my room to pack and take shower and call my wife. Let's keep in touch, call me when you get back to Istanbul."

BURAK: "sounds good Can, have a safe trip back."

Can went up to his room. Packed everything and decided to take a shower before he calls Sanem.

Can was in the shower and Alara decided to pay the boy at the front desk a good amount of money, to give her an extra key to Can's room. She sneaks in and hears the shower running, she decides to strip down and put a towel around herself. As she's walking into the bathroom Can's phone vibrates she picks it up and sees Sanem's name. She answers it, "hello Sanem"

SANEM: "what are you doing answering Can's phone?"

Where is Can?" Alara turns the phone to the shower and then back to herself and shows herself she has a towel around herself. " you bitch how did you get into his room."

ALARA: "Can invited me" Can is in the shower and he hears voices in the bathroom, what the hell one of them sounds like Sanem. He turns to look out the glass door wipes away the steam. Alara, that bitch what the hell, he turns off the water and grabs his towel hanging on top of the door. "What did she just say, Can invited me?" He opens the door and Alara is standing there with a huge smile on her face. Can actually started yelling at her

CAN: "what the hell are you doing in my room!! Get the hell out, go put your damn clothes now!!"

ALARA: "I'm here for you", and she goes to take her towel off!

CAN: "don't you dare take that towel off your disgusting, what are you doing with my phone?"

Sanem hears everything, she has never heard Can so angry. "Wow, Alara if I were you I would get out now"! Sanem has a smirk on her face. He grabs the phone from her hand. "Get out now, go put your clothes on or I will call Security! Now." Alara saw how mad he was she never seen him like that. She did what he told her to do. Can looks at his phone and it was Sanem on face Time.

CAN: Sanem? Did she call you or something how are you on the phone"

SANEM: I FaceTimed you, and she answered "

CAN: "Sanem, I'm so sorry, I swear I didn't invite her in here, please believe me"

SANEM: "I know Can, I believe you, I heard the way you reacted, don't worry."

CAN : Sanem, I love you, I'm coming home tomorrow morning I already booked the first flight out."

SANEM: " your done really?"

CAN : "yes bebek, I miss you, how are you feeling.?"

SANEM: "I'm okay, just my lower back all day of and on it's been bothering me, I'm just happy you're coming home, I miss you"

CAN : I miss you too , plug in your phone again I want to watch you sleep."

SANEM : " okay, are you okay did you calm down,?"

CAN : " not really, I'm so mad Sanem, what the hell was she even thinking, I don't get it."

SANEM: " I know Can, listen let's change the subject, let's talk about something else." And that's what they did they talked about everything and anything. Sanem finally fell asleep, but she looked very uncomfortable , "I'll be home soon bebek good night."
