Chapter 7

Can and Sanem, drove Bella back to the orphanage together.

CAN: "Sanem she's falling asleep, I'll pick her up and take her inside."

Sanem grabbed her bag with her clothes and followed Can inside. The counselor saw them and lead them to Bella's room. Sanem couldn't believe how gentle Can was with Bella, he laid her down on her bed covered her up and gave her a little kiss on her cheek. Bella opened her eyes and says "Can Hug."  And he gave her the biggest hug and then she wanted her Sanem, she hugged and kissed her cheek, then she laid her down gently and covered her up and caressed her cheeks, they softly walked  out of her room so she can fall asleep.  On the way out the director of the orphanage saw Can.

DIRECTOR: "Can bey, it's so nice to see you."

CAN: "it's nice to see you too, hope everything is well."

DIRECTOR: "Can everything is perfect, I don't know how to thank you, your pictures from the fundraiser raised a lot of money for the orphanage. It's going to cover all the repairs and then some." Sanem was just staring at Can, his pictures? she's was confused. Is he Can Divit the famous photographer?

CAN: "I was happy to do it. We will definitely do it again soon. The kids need a new play gym, and maybe some more sports stuff. We will talk in the near future."

DIRECTOR:  "thank you again Can bey, without out that money I don't think we could have stayed open."

CAN: " don't mention it, if you need anything else let me know." They shook hands, and Can and Sanem started heading out. She stops and looks at him confused.

CAN: "Sanem are you okay? You look like you're in shock or something."

SANEM: " Can, you're the famous photographer, Can Divit? Those pictures at the gallery that night were your's? Can smiled and pinched her cheek and started walking towards the car. She ran and caught up to him.

SANEM: " I can't believe it, I have admired your work for years, I would always look for the new edition of the magazine so I can see all the new pictures that you take, there so beautiful."

CAN:"Thank you Sanem, but I thought you knew who I was"

SANEM:" No, I saw you that night at the gallery, but I thought you were just there to try to bid for a photo, I had no idea."

CAN: " well now you know, it's no big deal Sanem, really."

SANEM: " are you kidding me, every photo you take, tells a story, the faces, nature. I love them All." She was so excited. But she can see that he was very humble about it. So she took it down a notch.

"It must be so exciting visiting all those places, isn't hard though when you see poverty, children who don't have much to eat."

CAN: " it is, but that's why I take the pictures, I want the world to know how people live and hopefully make a difference. And in many cases a lot of countries have taken it upon themselves to fix their own situations in their own countries"

Sanem looked at him and smiled, he was actually embarrassed talking about himself. , he is really very humble.

SANEM: " wow, Can Divit, I can see you don't like talking about yourself, so I will stop."

CAN: " okay great, let's go get your pay check for the two weeks he owes you."

SANEM: " are you serious, you will go with me "

CAN: " I told you I would, come let's go and then I will take you to get the best fish sandwich you will ever have."

They parked in the parking lot of the club. Sanem was getting a little nervous.

CAN: "Sanem, it's okay, I'm going in with you. I'm not leaving you alone in there okay."

SANEM: " Actually Can I want to do it myself, you can stand by the door, and if he tries anything you can come to my rescue okay." And she smiled sweetly at him.

CAN: " are you sure? (She looked at him with a sweet smile) okay Sanem, I will let you do the talking, I won't get involved if I don't have to."

SANEM: " it's fine just stay close, I feel much better that you're here with me." He smiled caressed her cheek and they went inside.

Sanem sees the manager and walks up to him.

MANAGER: " You, what are you doing here, because of you most of the girls quit."

SANEM: " that's your problem not mine, you owe me two weeks pay, I came to collect."

MANAGER: " I don't owe you nothing, you almost ruined my business and my reputation. Because of you I'm having a hard time finding waitress's."

SANEM: " well if you treated them with respect you wouldn't have that problem. You let men fondle them, they disrespected them, and you did nothing about it and you want people to work for you, you're disgusting! Give me my pay, or I will have my lawyer contact you, I think he already spoke to you that night I left."

MANAGER: " You bitch, get out of here, (he raised his hand to smack her but Can was quick he took his hand and twisted it behind his back)

CAN: "I think the lady asked for her pay, now give it to her now, and because of your actions you will be hearing from our lawyer, and probably the board of health, I'm sure you have a lot violations in here." He looked at Can and you can see he was intimidated by him, he was definitely scared, but Can could be intimidating, so He got up went the register and paid her.

MANAGER: "now get out of here, and don't come in here again!"

SANEM: "Don't worry, this is the last place I want to be in." And they walked out, Sanem was happy, a little shaken because she doesn't like confrontation. But she was happy that she got her pay. "Can, did you see him ( she was happy she was smiling ear to ear) he was so scared of you! You know you can be very intimidating when you want to be." He stops to look at her and smiles.

CAN: "you think, I think you scared him too, you were pretty tough in there, you even threatened him with a lawyer, do you have one".  She starts laughing .

SANEM: "no, I was thinking of your lawyer friend the one that had the talk with him that night, what's his name?" And she starts laughing. He starts laughing and pinches her cheek.

CAN: "his name is Metin, and I don't even have to talk to him, since that night he was so mad at the manager,  the way he treated you, he's been working on getting the board of health in there. and who knows what else he might be doing illegally. Metin didn't like him at all. He's a very shady character and he's looking into him."

SANEM: "wow Can, I've opened up a can of worms, I'm sorry, I didn't think it would go this far."

CAN: " Sanem, no man has the right to touch a woman, especially if she doesn't want it, he violated your rights, and that guy that got away that night after he tried to, (Can couldn't even say the word  ) anyway, he belongs in prison! ( Can was getting angry) and if I ever see him again, trust me he might even end up in the hospital."

Sanem just looked at Can and gave him a sweet smile, she really liked this protective side of him. He hardly knows her and he's looking out for her.

SANEM: "Thank you Can, for looking out for me, I actually felt more confident knowing you were there with me."

CAN: "Sanem, anything you need from me just ask, okay."

SANEM: " okay Can, you never know I might just become a real pain." He smiled

CAN: " I highly doubt it, you're not like that, you seem very independent"

SANEM:"pretty much, but one thing I have to warn you about, I can be pretty clumsy, it's gotten better throughout the years but every now and then I have a good fall" and they both start laughing and she went on to tell him about her emergency room visits with her clumsiness.

CAN: " let's go get that fish sandwich I promised you, you're going to love it."

They were sitting by the pier eating their sandwich, and talking like they have known each other for years.

Sanem couldn't believe that she is actually sitting here enjoying this gorgeous man's company. She was definitely having feelings for him. ( girl he's so sweet, and handsome, but remember he has a girlfriend a very beautiful girl friend, don't get too attached just friends you don't want to get hurt) Sanem waved her hand in front of her face.i

CAN: "Sanem are you ok? You seem far away, if you're worried about that idiot at the club don't, I'll take care of him, okay." ( oh boy he makes me melt, get yourself together girl think)

SANEM: "'no, I'm fine Can, really, by the way this is the best fish sandwich I've ever had." And she gives him the brightest smile.

CAN: "I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I'm happy that you eat real food. Not just salads and detoxing."

Sanem seemed a little confused.

SANEM: "why would I just eat salads and detox? How can anyone survive like that,"

CAN: " well a lot of women I know and have known, that's what they eat.  Actually it's very annoying, because I can't enjoy my meal if the other person doesn't eat normal."

SANEM: "'well Can Divit, you don't have to tell me twice to eat a good meal, I'm always hungry , my mother always had home cooked meals, she loved to cook, and she always made us finish our meal. I guess that's where I get it from."

CAN: " I'm happy to hear that Sanem, you can be my official eating partner!" They both started laughing.

"'Do you know how to cook?"

SANEM: " oh yes, living several years with my aunt she made me learn, I didn't have a choice, she would say to me, Sanem, a way to a man's heart is through his stomach with food." Sanem started laughing. " I remember thinking to myself, what is she talking about, I'm only 16." And she laughs again. " but I'm glad I learned, now I have this Job with Miriban and that's one of the reasons she hired me, so I can cook for you all, she told me her cooking wasn't that great, and she worked a lot and it would help her out."

Can, is thinking Miriban is a great cook, she really didn't need to hire anyone. But then it hit him, she hired her because she felt sorry for her she needed the money. Miriban always had a soft spot for the less fortunate. And Sanem is the type of person that you always want to have around.

CAN: "Sanem, where were you living before you met Miriban?" Sanem put her head down, embarrassed.

SANEM: " I was living in a group home for girls, for a couple of years. And I worked at a supermarket part time. And when I started college after about a year or so, that's when I went to work at the club, because I needed to move out I needed the money. But I was lucky enough to meet Miriban she saved me Can, I wasn't sure where I was going to go to next."

CAN: " why did you leave your aunt and uncle?"

SANEM: " because money was very tight for them, they were struggling, the bacal wasn't bringing in enough money, so I lied and told them I got a great job at a bank and they  pay very well, and I was able to get my own apartment."

CAN: "Wow Sanem, I'm sorry you had to go through that. But your aunt and uncle seem like very loving people, they were probably very sad when you left."

SANEM: " yes, we were all crying, we're very close, but it helped me be more independent. I grew up more. I miss them I try to get there at least once a week. Actually tomorrow I am going to visit them for the day.

CAN: " that's nice, hey do you mind if I come and visit with you, I would love to see where you live, maybe take some pictures of the neighborhood."

Sanem looked at him and smiled she couldn't believe that he actually wanted to go to her neighborhood. He's so sweet. ( back down girl only friendship remember he's taken! Okay, okay, I hear you just friendship.)

SANEM: " are you sure?"  CAN: "very sure"

SANEM:  "okay, I will let my aunt know that you are coming." They both had huge smiles on their faces. They went back home and sat by the pool, and they were having a cup of tea before they went to bed.

Sanem went to get up, and tripped over her own two feet and Can caught her before she fell. (She smells so good, I don't want to let go) Sanem starts laughing and looks up at him while he's holding her around her waist, and she says "At least there is no emergency room visit with this fall!!" And they both start laughing. " good night Sanem, see you in the morning."

Good night Can, thanks for keeping me out of the ER.

They both laughed and went of too bed.
