Chapter 64

The next couple of days were busy, Can and Sanem were trying to catch up with everything before the wedding.

SANEM: "Can I just remembered , I have to go to the university and pick up my cap and gown and my diploma., do you think we can go at lunch time and pick it up?" She paused and has a huge smile on her face "Can, do you believe that I'm graduating, I'm so excited, me a college graduate!" He takes her in his arms and kisses her.

CAN: "of course I believe it, I never doubted you Sanem, I'm so proud of you, you've accomplished so much, a book that is a number one best seller, you're the top of your class, and your working full time, and you have overcome so much in these last several months, most people would of given up. You're amazing my love.!" Sanem smiled and kissed Can and rubbed her cheek on his beard.

SANEM: " I couldn't have done it without you, you're my rock Can, if I didn't have your support I don't think I could have done it."

CAN: "Sanem Aydin, this is all you my love, I think it's the other way around, you're my rock. you have not only accomplished so much, you also tamed me, and believe me, you can ask any one, that is not easy." They start to laugh. "I'm more patient now" she looks at him and laughs "you more patient? Okay if you say so."

CAN: "okay, a work in progress." They both start laughing." There is a knock on the door and Metin walks in.

METIN: " how come every time I come here to see you two I always find you in this position?" He starts to laugh. And Sanem gets all shy and Can pulls her from the waist and gives her a hot kiss. "Can!" He loves it when she gets all shy.

CAN: "get used to it brother" Metin laughs

METIN: "I think I have already." And he laughs " okay, Sanem, I talked to McKinnon, he's all in, he thinks it's a great idea with the warehouse, Sanem, this going to be great for that neighborhood, and I think you already know that, this neighborhood definitely needs to be brought back to it's original state, and this is going to help big time."

SANEM: "oh trust me I know, my neighborhood was much better and safer than this one is. Metin, I am so excited about this you have no idea. I can't wait to see these people and this neighborhood recover."

Can is caressing her hand and kisses it.

METIN: "and it will. I have already started the process of taking it over. After the wedding when you guys get back we will do the closing."

SANEM: "that's good with me, Can?"

CAN: "I'm good bebek, I think this going to be a big change for that neighborhood and its people."

METIN: "okay great! I'm off , and I will see you soon."

The rest of the day was going good, Can and Sanem were finishing up to get ready to leave, when there is a knock on the door.

GULIZ: "Sanem, this came for you today, a bouquet of roses." Sanem looked at Can and smiled.

SANEM: "Can, thank you, you're so sweet." Can looked confused.

CAN: "Sanem, these aren't from me. But I wish I did think of it. Read the card" when she opened the card it was blank, nothing on it. "Guliz who brought these flowers?"

GULIZ: "a little boy brought them". Can has a feeling were these came from, and he's getting very angry.

SANEM: "Can, I know what you're thinking, but please calm down, maybe it wasn't Fabri, we can't be sure."

CAN: "Sanem, who else could it be, he's definitely trying to scare us, but when I get ahold of him, I will let him know what I think." Sanem turns and smiles at Can and takes both of his cheeks into her hands scratching his beard.

SANEM: "Can, he's trying to intimidate us, don't let him get to you, and besides didn't you just get done telling me that I made you a more patient man?"

He smiles and takes her in his arms. "Bebek, I don't know how you do it, but you have this way of calming me." He smiles and kisses her "okay, let's get rid of the flowers throw them out, and forget about the jerk, and let's go pick up your cap and gown and diploma."

The next day, Sanem had an appointment for a fitting, for her wedding gown.

SANEM: "Can, can I use your truck so Leyla and I can go for my fitting for my wedding gown, and then you can go home with Emre or your dad."

CAN: "how about if I come with you, I don't want you going by yourself."

SANEM: "I won't be by myself Can, Leyla will be with me. It's fine okay." Can was hesitant, but he let her go.

CAN: "okay, go, but I want updates constantly, do you have your air tags?" She smiles and goes close to Can opens her shirt and pulls down her bra so he can see the tag.

SANEM: "feel better my hunky body guard."

Can smiled and caresses the top of her breasts. And tries to kiss them, but she pulls back and starts giggling. "Can, stop, someone will see you!" He grabs her from the waist and pulls her in for a hot kiss, Sanem is left breathless.

CAN: "do you think I care?" She turns red

SANEM: "oh I know you don't care." She puts her hand in his pocket and grabs his keys and he holds her hand there pushing it towards his hardness, she's getting all shy and turning red. "Can, stop, someone will walk in on us, she kisses his cheek and says "later I promise" "okay princess, later, but please be careful. Call me." "I will Can"

Leyla and Sanem went straight to the boutique for her fitting, she walks out so Leyla can see her.

LEYLA: "oh Sanem, it's beautiful, you look amazing, wait till Can sees you."

SANEM; "it's beautiful, isn't it, I'm so excited Leyla I can't wait."

LEYLA: "I'm sure Can feels the same way."

Sanem went back to change, and she felt a cold chill go down her spine.

SANEM: "what was that, maybe it's just my nerves"

She brushed it off and changed.

LEYLA: "Sanem, are you okay, aren't you happy with your dress?"

SANEM: "I am, very happy, but I don't know Leyla, something just kind of spooked me, like I'm being watched."

LEYLA: "maybe it's all this with Fabri? Because you know how he's obsessed with you"

SANEM: "Maybe, that's probably it. Let's get something to eat across the street and sit by the water a little." So that's what they did. "Leyla, this is so nice, isn't it and relaxing.

LEYLA: "it is, Sanem are you sure you are okay?"

SANEM: "I am, I guess, (pause) Leyla I didn't tell Can, but I'm just nervous Fabri will try something before the wedding."

Leyla looked at Sanem worried, because she knew the whole family was worried, and trying to keep her safe.

LEYLA: "it will be okay, they will catch him and he will be put away for a long time, you'll see."

Sanem smiled.

SANEM: "let's get going before my body guard comes out looking for me." As they were walking back to the car Sanem noticed something on the windshield "Leyla what is that." She goes over to pick it up . "Leyla it's a white lily" Sanem started shaking "Leyla do you know what that means, a white lily means innocence, he was here , he was following us, I knew I felt something."

LEYLA: "Sanem, are you sure"

SANEM: "yes, it makes sense, he's angry about the scent, and this lily is proof of it."

LEYLA: "let's get going, throw it out" and that's what she did, Sanem and Leyla were quiet driving home.

"Abla what are you thinking."

SANEM: "I'm thinking not to say anything to Can, because he's going to freak, he won't let me go anywhere then, and there is so many things I need to do before the wedding."

LEYLA: "Sanem, he needs to know, he only wants to keep you safe."

SANEM: "I know Leyla, but I don't think Fabri will do anything to hurt me, because he's obsessed with me, and my scent. I promise I will be careful, and I will always have someone with me okay, please Leyla"

LEYLA: "okay, but promise me Sanem, don't let your guard down."

SANEM: "I promise, okay, let's get home I really want to see Can."

Leyla knows that Sanem is scared, she's very worried about her, this man is crazy, god only knows what he will do. I'm sorry Sanem. I have to keep you safe.

That night Leyla and Emre, went for a walk and Leyla told him what happened today.

EMRE: "Leyla, she could be in danger, we have to do something. We have to tell Can."

LEYLA: "that's the one person she didn't want him to know, because he's very over protective of her, and she has a lot of things to do before the wedding."

EMRE: "I understand, but if something happens and we don't say anything it won't be good, let's talk to my dad and Miriban and we will go from there."

When they got back home Can and Sanem had gone for ice cream and Miriban and Aziz were watching TV.

EMRE: "baba, Annem we need to talk to you" they went on to tell them what happened when Leyla and Sanem went to her fitting.

AZIZ: "listen, we have to tell Can, no doubt about it, but we have to make him understand that he has to act like he doesn't know towards Sanem"

MIRIBAN: "I agree, we will also inform Metin so he knows, this man is definitely after sanem and her scent, he's a sick evil man."

AZIZ: "Emre we will talk to Can in private at the office tomorrow and bring in Metin also."

EMRE: "okay baba, I hope he understands because you know what a hot head he is and how he gets when he's angry."

Miriban laughed and said "yes, we all know, but Sanem has tamed the wild beast , and I think for her sake he will do what's right."

LEYLA: "I know she's not coming in tomorrow, she's staying home, she's finishing up the final list for the wedding and trying to do the seating arrangements, so that should take pretty much of the day. So you can definitely talk to Can privately without her being around."

The next morning Can was getting ready for work

CAN: "Sanem, do you want me to stay and help, I know doing seating for almost three hundred people could be very annoying."

SANEM: "I'm good, go to work, finish up as much as you can so next week we won't have a heavy load, I think your dad said he's giving everyone of Friday.

Plus I need to make calls to the florist and the bakery and the caterer to Make sure everything is ready for next Saturday." She smiles and wraps her arms round his waist " Can, I'm so excited, I love you so much "

He takes her and squeezes her tightly and kisses her neck.

CAN: " me to my love, soon we will be husband and wife, Sanem, my life, I would die for you, I love you so much, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you" Sanem has tears in her eyes.

SANEM: "me too, Can, in my life I never thought I could love like this, I was always a dreamer that's for sure, you can ask anyone, I can actually say that dreams do come true." He smiled and caresses her cheek.

CAN: "okay my love, I have to go, I'll talk to you through out the day, and please don't go anywhere stay home."

SANEM: "Okay, I have so much to do, just the seating should take all day." He gives her a kiss and left for work.

Aziz called Can into his office with Emre and Metin. He told Can what happened yesterday when Sanem went for her fitting, and of course Can didn't take it well and was furious. He got up and was walking back and forth clenching his fist.

CAN: "why didn't she tell me, she knows how worried I am about her, that bastard he better hope someone else catches him."

EMRE: "well brother, maybe that's why she didn't tell you, because of your temper, you need to calm down, plus Leyla doesn't want her to know that she said something."

METIN: " Emre is right calm down, Can, don't let your anger cloud your judgment, she probably didn't tell you because she doesn't want you to worry, plus with your temper things could get worse not better."

CAN: "Metin, what am I supposed to do? Huh , sit back and watch her get hurt, what happens if he tries to hurt her."

METIN: "Can, we will catch him, okay, but don't get yourself in trouble, because I assume you still want to marry her?"

CAN: "what kind of question is that, of course I want to marry her, she's my soul mate."

METIN: "okay, then calm down, keep her safe, and love her, and don't let her know that you know, and let the detectives and police do their job." Can agreed but wasn't happy.

CAN: "okay, let me get back to work so I can get home." Can went back to his office, but was having a hard time concentrating.

Metin, Emre and Aziz looked at each other and all three thinking the same thing, let's hope the police find him first. Because if Can gets a hold of him it won't be good.

Sanem was sitting outside by the pool with Ela.

SANEM: "this is so annoying, three hundred people to seat, you know Ela I would have been fine having my wedding here in the back yard just family and friends."

ELA: "I'm like you Sanem, I really don't like to be the center of attention, I prefer a much smaller wedding one day, more intimate." Sanem is looking at Ela, she has a dreamy look on her face.

SANEM: "so I assume everything is going well with Kaan?" Ela gets this huge smile on her face.

ELA: "I think so, Sanem I think I'm in love with him, but I don't know if he feels the same."

SANEM: "oh I think he does, he was very worried about you when you were in the hospital, did he even leave your side, and he's here all the time."

ELA: "do you think so, oh Sanem I hope you're right."

In my life I never thought that I would want to marry someone like Kaan. I didn't think I was good enough for him, he's educated, handsome, has money. I don't know, if it's going to work." She had tears in her eyes.

Sanem felt for her because that's the way she felt about Can.

SANEM: "Ela, you're so much like me, and I felt exactly the same way, but Can made me realize that I am his equal, because money and status means nothing to him, and I bet Kaan is the same way."

ELA: "I think so too. Sanem, how did you and Can meet.?" Sanem went on and told her the whole story.

"Wow Sanem, that's crazy, but it was love at first sight wasn't it."

SANEM: "yes it was, we had some obstacles along the way but it worked out. Like Can says, we were destined to be together."
