Chapter 38

Can came home late from dinner with Achia, he reaked of alcohol. I can't believe him. Uhg Can Divit you make me so mad.

He layed down next to her and pulled her into his arms and started kissing her. And caressing her breast. But Sanem was to angry, she wasn't in the mood.

SANEM: " sorry Can I'm not in the mood, you had to much to drink, go to sleep" she went and slept in the pool house. Of course she was up all night she was so mad at him, I bet him and Achia had a great time.

The next morning she was in the kitchen making breakfast when Miriban came in.

MIRIBAN: " good morning Sanem, are you okay."

SANEM: " I guess, he came home last night very late, midnight, and smelled like alcohol, I went back to the pool house to sleep, but didn't get much sleep."

MIRIBAN: "maybe you should say something, Can loves you Sanem, I know he's true to you."

SANEM: "I want to say something, what happens if he gets mad or upset with me. Miriban I almost lost him, when I saw him get hit, I was traumatized and then he stopped breathing, I've never in my whole life been so scared."

MIRIBAN: "I know my dear. I don't think he will get mad really."

SANEM: "I'll think about it "she hears the bedroom door open and goes back to finish breakfast. Can walks in and sits at the table, he has a hangover of course he does. He can't even say good morning to me and hug me like he usually does. She goes over to him.

SANEM: "what's the matter you have a hangover? Here have some coffee." She wanted to throw it at him but she held back.

CAN:" yes, I should have been more careful but I was having a good time with the climbing group."Miriban is watching Sanem closely.

SANEM: "aww aren't you lucky, you made some new friends good for you." Miriban can hear the sarcasm in her voice.

CAN: " Sanem, are you okay, I'm sorry I came home late."

SANEM: " don't worry I'm fine, just as long as you're happy Can that's all I want "

CAN: " why did you leave our bed last night "

SANEM: "maybe because you smelled of alcohol so much that I couldn't sleep near you, I went to the pool house."

CAN "I'm sorry bebek it won't happen again, I promise."

SANEM: " Can, how did you get home last night?"

CAN: Achia brought me home with a couple of the climbers. Actually she's picking me up soon to go get my car."

SANEM: " awww Achia, she's great isn't she Can, she's like a super hero. Lucky for you, you have such a good friendship " Can is looking at Sanem, but he's so hungover he can't read her. He gets up and kisses her and tells her he's sorry again and that he loves her. He goes to take a shower, so Achia can take him to pick up his car.

MIRIBAN: " Sanem, he will come around, you will see, he loves you, I know he does."

SANEM: "if that bitch keeps putting her claws into him he will forget me " Miriban was very worried, she wanted to say something to Can, but she didn't want to get in the middle.

The next couple of days, Achia was wagging her tale in and out of the agency. Pretending she was coming for the campaign, a couple of times she caught Can hugging and kissing Sanem. She wasn't happy she definitely wants to come between them. . She comes in on Wednesday and invites Can to go climbing on some mountain in Italy, and that they will be gone for like a week. And of course Can, he just loved the idea.

CAN: "Sanem my love, do you mind if I go, we will leave Saturday morning and come back Sunday afternoon a week later. It's a great feeling to climb, come with me, I'll teach you."she just stared at him like are you crazy.

SANEM : " you go, how much can you teach me Can, I won't be able to climb like you, I don't want you baby sitting me, and I'm sure Achia would prefer me not to go anyway."

CAN: " trust me, she doesn't care if you come, I told her I wanted to bring you, she was fine with it and so was everyone else."

SANEM: "No Can, go have fun, do what you love best."

CAN: bebek, I don't want you to be upset, I won't go if you don't want me to go."

SANEM: "Can, I think we talked about this already. I don't wanna keep you from things you love,  this is your life, being home with me all the time isn't you so go and enjoy yourself." Can kisses her and squeezes her tightly, and tells her he loves her.

CAN: " I'm going to teach you how to climb my love and then we can do this stuff together."

Sanem just smiled and gave him a thumbs up.

MIRIBAN: " Sanem, tell him you don't want him to go.

Tell him how you feel about Achia."

SANEM: "I can't Miriban, I can't hold him back from things that he loves. But I will tell you this. It's not even that he's going climbing that bothers me it's her. She wants him bad."

MIRIBAN: like I said, I know Can, he truly loves you Sanem, I've never seen so much love in him for anyone else."

Sanem smiled and hugged Miriban. And walked back to her desk. Miriban is worried,  Sanem is very sad, what is wrong with Can. I don't get it.

The next several days, Can was working late to finish work, so he would be all caught up before he leaves. Sanem would go home early, by the time he would get home he was so tired they bearly talked.

AZIZ : "Can, do you really have to go climbing, don't you feel bad leaving Sanem.?"

CAN: "baba she's fine with it, she doesn't care, she told me to go, I told her to come she didn't want to."

AZIZ: "son, you seem different ever since the accident, are you and Sanem okay?"

CAN: " we're fine baba, why would you even say that. I just haven't done this in a while, I just want to do it one more time before I settle down."

AZIZ: "weren't you supposed to propose to Sanem, are you having second thoughts? Are you interested in Achia maybe because she's more like you."

CAN: " baba!! Don't even say that, do you think it bothers me that Sanem doesn't like the stuff I like. Not at all, I can't explain to you how much I love her, she's my other half. I still plan on proposing, I want to stop at this really nice jewelry store in Italy, I want to get her a nice ring."

AZIZ: " there's jewelry stores here Can, you don't have to go to Italy to buy a ring, but if this is what you want to do it's up to you if Sanem's OK with it then I guess it's okay."They left it at that. Can was packing his stuff, he was leaving early Saturday morning.

He went to look for Sanem, she was in the pool house.

CAN:" Bebek, come inside with me, I want to spend the night with you before I leave, why don't you change your mind and come with me."

SANEM: " No Can! It's fine go have fun, with Achia.!! And your friends "

CAN: " Sanem, are you worried about Achia, we're just friends."

SANEM: " okay Can, have fun, I'll be busy all week, I'm working on my new book with Kaan, don't worry about me, I want you too enjoy your self." She was being very sarcastic with him and he knew it.

CAN: " Sanem, don't you trust me, do you think that I would really cheat on you."

SANEM: "I don't know Can, you tell me, ever since the accident you're different, we're not the same, maybe we need to be apart for a while." He couldn't believe she just said that, he couldn't bear the thought of losing her. He grabs her by the arms and looks into her eyes.

CAN: "Sanem, what are you saying, don't even think about it, that will never happen! I love you Sanem. Don't ever doubt my love for you." Do you trust me."

SANEM: "The funny thing is I do, but I don't trust Achia, she wants to climb your mountain and you're clueless"

Can was getting angry, he couldn't believe that Sanem didn't trust him.

CAN: " fine Sanem, I can't believe you don't trust me, even if she tried there's no way I want to be with her. I just want the to climb the mountain Sanem, I want that rush that you get going up to the top. That's it. I'm not going to be doing this forever Sanem, I want a life with you, a family." she just looked at him and smiled, she can't stay mad at him. It's her I don't trust not him.

SANEM: "okay Can, go have fun. I will see you when you get back."

He hugged her and kissed her, "come sleep with me I want to make love to you Sanem, I'm going to miss you." She Tried to pull away. But he pulled her back and started kissing her neck. "Sanem, no one can make me feel what you do, we're one, you and I. Please I love you."

He just makes her melt. " I love you too Can."

He took her by the hand and lead her to the bedroom.

They were rough with each other, they couldn't get enough of each other. Bebek I want to be inside you so bad, but not yet, when I get back, I planning something special for you. She just hugged him tight. "I'm going to miss you Can," she said softly. They fell asleep holding each other tightly. Through the night she would feel little kisses on her shoulder and her neck. He was kissing her in his sleep. Can Divit as angry as I am with you, just your touch makes me melt.

The next morning Can was gathering his stuff he looked at her and he could see unshed tears in her eyes.

CAN: "Bebek I love you, don't ever doubt my love for you." She smiled and scratched his beard. She went outside to say goodbye to him, and Achia was waiting for him with the other climbers. Can grabs Sanem and gives her one rough passionate kiss and caresses her back and hugs her tightly. Sanem was surprised but happy.

CAN: " I love you bebek " " I love you too can . Call me when you land, she had tears in her eyes and Can saw it, he's starting to feel guilty. He comes back kisses her again. "It's okay Can, it's fine, but don't you dear let her climb your mountain that's mine!!" She giggled a little and scratched his beard.

CAN: " don't worry my love, I wouldn't want anyone else climbing me." He kisses her again and he was off.

Can called when he landed and then again when he got to the hotel.

CAN: "Bebek, are you okay?" SANEM:  "I'm fine, be careful tomorrow, will you be able to call me?"

CAN: " I'll try, Sanem, if I make it up fast, and get down faster I will come home sooner okay."

SANEM: "Can, I don't want you getting hurt, just be careful okay." They said they're good nights , but Can was having second thoughts, he hates when Sanem is upset. What was I thinking.

The climb started off okay, he started thinking Sanem was right about Achia, she was constantly next to him, wouldn't leave him alone. They stopped at the first level and she sat right next to him, he was feeling uncomfortable, he got up and started walking around.

ACHIA: "Can, come sit next to me, I won't bite."

CAN: "I need to stretch my legs I'm fine."

she got up and stood next to him and touched his arm,

ACHIA: " Can relax we're just friends, or this can be what ever you want it to be."

CAN: "Achia, let's continue climbing, I like to finish the climb and get back to Sanem." She didn't say anything, they kept climbing."

Sanem couldn't get Can out of her mind, she was very worried, a couple of days passed and no word from Can, even when she tried to call his phone it was out of range

Achia still kept trying to make passes at Can, he would just ignore her.

It was towards the end of the week and they were climbing down. Can just wanted to get back.

They were almost down and stopped to rest.  They started again and made it to the bottom. The group decided to go back to the hotel and take showers and go out to eat at the pub in the hotel.  Achia knocked on Can's door,   he opens it and she tries to walk in but he puts his hand up to stop her.

ACHIA: "are you ready, to go to dinner?" He nodded yes, and practically pushed her to get going.

They went to get something to eat and they sat at the bar, Achia kept trying to talk to Can but he ignored her, she kept coming close to his ear, " come on Can live a little, just for tonight " he turns and looks at her and she moves in quickly kissing him.   He snapped, "What the hell is wrong with you,  what makes you think I want anything to do with you, from now on if you want to use our agency you deal with Derin, or take your business somewhere else!! " Can are you serious? " "very serious, just because I came on the climb doesn't mean I'm interested in you!! I have what I want and ever will want waiting for me at home!!"He was very angry and she knew it. "I m leaving tomorrow not Sunday!! He got up practically slammed his drink down and walked away, Achia couldn't believe how angry he got. "I'm not done Can Divit, I want you, I don't like losing!!" He changes his flight to tomorrow night, he wants to go buy Sanem her ring tomorrow.

He went back to the room and called Sanem, he didn't say anything to her about what happened with Achia he didn't want to upset her, he should have listened to her.

Sanem was very upset all week, she really wasn't eating and sleeping.  Miriban was very  worried Sanem looked thin and drained.

MIRIBAN: "Sanem dear eat something, Can will be home in two days."

SANEM: I'm fine, don't worry, I'm going to the book store I want to see if any more books sold."

MIRIBAN: "okay dear, see you tonight."

Sanem went to the book store and was happy to see that her book was sold out and it went to number one.

The book store owner congratulated her. And told her he's looking forward to her next book. "Sanem there was a letter for you in my mailbox, but no return address. She was surprised, who send her a letter here at the book store.

Sanem takes the letter and all it said was PAY BACK!!.

Now she was very worried, she couldn't understand who was trying to hurt her, not only her and her family. The fire.

She goes home and she's even worse than she was before.   She wanted to talk to Leyla but she was away on business with Emre and she didn't want to worry Miriban and Aziz.  She took it and put it in her purse so she can show Metin tomorrow.

That evening, she was sitting on the couch trying to do some homework and she gets a ping on her phone.

She gets a picture of Achia and Can kissing and a message saying, "having a great time wish you were here." Sanem froze, Miriban noticed the shift in her demeanor.

MIRIBAN; "Sanem, what's wrong?" She shows her the picture. Miriban was heart broken, but she knew it was Achia, she is definitely a Huma and Polen. "Sanem, you know deep in your heart Can would never do anything , she definitely tricked him, look at the picture closely it looks like they're at a restaurant or pub. He loves you Sanem."

SANEM: I don't know, maybe, Miriban maybe he is interested in her, they're so much alike."

MIRIBAN: "Sanem, I think you know that's not true, things like that don't matter to him."

SANEM: "I guess you're right, I'll talk to him when he gets back. I'm going to bed."

Miriban, saw the look in Sanem's eyes, like a lost child. She's headed into depression.

Aziz saw Miriban and she looked worried.

AZIZ: Miriban, what's wrong"

MIRIBAN: Sanem , Aziz she looks very sad, pale, thin, "she told him about the picture, probably from Achia's phone, that was sent to her. " Aziz this isn't just about Can going away and the picture, I think she's blaming herself about the accident, she's never really opened up about it, I know from the beginning that she felt it was her fault, but I thought she got passed that, I think she thinks he would be better off with out her."

AZIZ: " listen tomorrow, we're going to get her some help, the sooner the better." They both agreed,

They went to bed, both hoping and praying for the best.
