Chapter 37

It was Thursday evening and Can and Sanem were getting ready to leave for the fundraiser.

CAN: I'll be waiting in the family room for you."

SANEM: I'm almost ready, I'll be out in a couple of minutes." When Sanem came out Can just stared at her and smiled.

CAN: Sanem, you look beautiful, how about if we stay home, my dad can take care of everything."

She's starts giggling, I don't think so Can Divit, I'm so proud of you, donating your beautiful pictures, I'm proud to say it's my boyfriend who took those pictures , and by the way, you look very hot, I love your hair down. Very sexy." He takes her hand and kisses it. He Grabs her from the waist and brings her in for a passionate kiss. She  puts her fingers through his hair. "Can, you make my insides like jello." He smiles and kisses her again and takes her by the hand and they start heading out.

CAN: " okay let's get this over with, because as soon as that fundraiser is over, I have plans for you, I'm ripping that dress right off of you when we get home tonight." She starts giggling and is turning red,

SANEM: " whatever you say my hunky boyfriend."

They got to the gallery, and all eyes were on Can and Sanem, they were holding hands when they came in. The photographers were taking pictures constantly.

Can and Sanem were glued to each other. They were enjoying the evening when Can and Sanem hear a little voice. "Can, Nemi (Sanem) they look across the room and they see Bella, she runs over to them and says "Can up" and of course Can picks her up and starts tickle kissing her and she pulls Sanem in to for a hug and kisses. Bella couldn't stop laughing. Sanem and Can were so happy to see her. Can's friend walks up with his wife, and shakes their hand.

CAN: "Ali, Elif, it's so good to see you both, and thank you for surprising us with this little princess. We missed her "

ALI: " we were happy to do it, when your dad called me and told me what you were doing I had to come, congratulations by the way. It went great tonight."

CAN:" Thank you!! This is my girl friend Sanem, actually she is the one who introduced me to Bella."

The couples talked for a little while longer and agreed that they would get together soon.

The rest of the night was a success, Can's pictures sold for a lot of money. Sanem was so proud of him. She couldn't believe how much money they made for the girls home and the orphanage.

SANEM: Can I love you so much, I'm so proud of you."

CAN: " Thank you my love, let's go home and you can show me in private how proud you are of me." He pinches her cheek and they head home.

The next morning they got up ate breakfast and went to work. When they walked in the employees were very happy to see them.

SANEM: "Can, why are they looking at us like that."

CAN: " I have no idea" Derin walks over and says

DERIN:" congratulations you two, your pictures are every where."

SANEM: " what are you talking about?"

Derin showed them all the news on the internet.

DERIN: "there's pictures of you together through out the night, and that the fundraiser was a success, plus Sanem they even mentioned your book launch for next Saturday. This is going to be great for you and your book."

Sanem was in shock, she's not used to this kind of attention. But she likes that they mentioned her book.

CAN: " how do you feel bebek?"

SANEM: "I guess okay, you know me Can, I'm like you, I don't like to be the center of attention, but if it's going to help my book the agency I'm good."

He grabbed her hand kissing it and they went to his office.

The rest of the day was busy, Ceyda came, flirted with Can, but she did like the slogan.

CAN: "so Monday we start putting everything together are you ready for your first account?"

SANEM: "I am, I'm a little nervous, but I think I will be okay."

CAN: "don't worry bebek, we will be working together, you're going to be great." "It's been a long day let's go home.

Can was packing his stuff for Saturday, he noticed Sanem was quiet.

CAN: "Sanem, are you okay, if you want me to stay, I don't have to go."

SANEM: " no, go have fun, you've been through a lot, you need to have some fun. Actually I have a lot of homework to finish up, I'll be fine. We will be together tomorrow night when you get back"

CAN: " are you sure, you look like you have a lot on your mind "

SANEM; "I do, but it's all good? I'm very organized so I will be fine." She gives him a kiss and goes to get dinner ready.

The next morning Can was out of the house early, Sanem finished her homework and decided to make Can's favorite meal, and surprise Him, with a romantic dinner. She went shopping and bought herself a beautiful black satin négligée that barely covers anything. She wants to surprise Can, she's definitely ready for her to be his. She was so happy and excited, she set a beautiful table in the dining room with candles and candles in the bedroom. She wanted to have the most romantic night with Can.

She looks at herself in the mirror and is pleased with herself.

It was eight and he wasn't home, he will be home soon. Around eight thirty she gets a test from Can and he says "the guy's are spending the night so we can go rafting again tomorrow. Are you okay if I stay? I will be home tomorrow afternoon."

What can I say. "Sure have fun "(send)

She was so disappointed, she really wanted this night to be special. She tried to brush it off. She doesn't want to upset him, especially after almost losing him. Okay, I will just have to figure out another day.

Sunday came, and Can got home late it was like 10:00 , he did call her and tell her they were running late.

So she went to bed.

She heard Can come in, he was being very quiet, he didn't want to wake her up. He went to take a shower.

He came and layed next to her and pulled her close. And kissed her neck. " I missed you Bebek, I'm sorry I'm late, you smell so good." But Sanem pretended that she was sleeping. At least he missed me. She was content.

The next morning she got up quietly she didn't want to wake Can up. She was making breakfast when she felt Can wrap his arms around her waist. He kisses her neck, her shoulders and caress her body.

CAN: "bebek , I missed you. I'm sorry I didn't get back early yesterday, but I haven't seen these guys for a long time"

SANEM: "that's okay Can, don't worry it's fine, as long as you had a good time." She tries to sound happy.

So tell me about your weekend."

CAN: "it was great Sanem, to feel that rush coming down the rapids is incredible". He was going on and on. She couldn't stay mad at him, she knew This is his thing."

The week was going by fast, Sanem was getting ready for her book launch and signing, she was getting nervous. Kaan came to the agency, to go over everything with her. Can doesn't like the attention he's giving Sanem. But he can see that Kaan likes her but not trying to get between them.

It was Saturday the day of her book signing. The whole family was there to support her. And Kaan of course. Can had a huge bouquet of wildflowers for her.

SANEM: " Can, they're beautiful I love them.!" And I love you " he gives her a passionate kiss "I love you too Bebek."

Sanem sat at the desk, to organize herself before the doors open, she's excited because she sees a line forming outside. She sees an envelope on her desk and opens it. It read SANEM AYDEN, I OWE YOU. THE FIRE WASN'T ENOUGH. Sanem started shaking, what the hell who put it there. She hid it in her purse. And didn't say a word to anyone. Can noticed she was pale.

CAN : Sanem are you okay?

SANEM: yes, I'm just nervous, don't worry I will be okay once things get going." He hugs her and squeezes her tight. she really needed that.

The day was a success all of her books were sold out. She was beaming.

SANEM: Can, do you believe it, my book sold out I'm so excited."Can was so proud of her he kept hugging her and playing with her hair.

CAN: of course I believe it!! You're great at everything you do."

SANEM: "your just saying that because you love me Can Divit "

CAN: I do love you with all my heart and soul, but I'm being honest Sanem your very creative, I know you will be a famous author one day " she looks at Can in the eyes and scratches his beard. "Thank you my love, for everything, for your support and loving me." He kisses her again and decided to take  both of their families out to celebrate.

It was a busy week, they were working on a new account today, for woman art. They came up with some slogans and ideas they can show the client when they come today. Can and Sanem have been so busy that they didn't have much time to themselves, it was bothering Sanem, but she delt with it. The letter from the book launch was in the back of her head. She didn't want to worry anyone. Maybe it's just empty threats.

Later that day, woman art people showed up for their appointment. It was a woman Achia and her uncle. She was very pretty, and actually dressed like Can.

Derin brought them in and introduced them.

DERIN: Can, this Achia and her uncle Atlan."

They shook hands but Achia held on to Can's of course a little longer. Achia was being civil to Sanem but she definitely showed her interest in Can, everyone noticed except for Can. This girl is freaken smooth.

Can grabs Sanem's hand, and caresses it. Achia noticed how Can held Sanem's hand, there definitely a couple, not for long. It seemed that Achia and her uncle liked what they showed them.

CAN: " how about if we go out to dinner and get to know each other" her uncle refused but Achia accepted immediately. And Sanem was annoyed.

Derin went with them. And of course Can and Achia had so much in common they wouldn't shut up about their adventures.

DERIN: "Sanem this girl is very smooth, look now they're talking Italian."

SANEM: "you're telling me, look at her body movements flirting with Can. And Can is clueless "

DERIN: "don't worry about her Sanem, Can loves you everyone sees it, men are just stupid when it comes to women."

The whole dinner was about Can and Achia, how many mountains they climbed and how many countries they have been too. They said there goodbyes Sanem had to pull Can's hand away from Achia's grip.

CAN: " I think the account is ours , what do you think princess." Sanem was in a daze thinking about this dinner, she knows Achia doesn't care that Can is with me. She is going to do her best to separate them, that's for sure. "Sanem are you okay?"

SANEM: oh yeh I'm okay"

CAN: " You seem far away, you were very quiet at dinner."

SANEM: "oh yes, I didn't want to interrupt your trip around the world with Achia."

CAN: "I'm sorry Sanem, we got to talking, I didn't mean to leave you out."

SANEM: that's okay, and you both speak Italian, wow that's great."

CAN: " what a coincidence right."

SANEM: "yes, isn't that something, you have so much in common."

They got home, Sanem told Can she had a headache and went to bed early. She was s irritated with Can and Achia. Girl stop being jealous, he loves you. He doesn't care about her. I know but I can't help it, I'm wondering if I will be boring to him after a couple of years. He's so active, traveling, climbing mountains, extreme sports. I don't do any of that stuff. Uhg Sanem.

The next week Achia was coming to the office practically every other day. She was such a damn flirt. I want to say something to Can but I don't want him to think I'm jealous with every woman that comes in here. Miriban and Leyla were watching Achia. They didn't like her at all. But even Emre and Aziz thought she was nice.

Not only was Sanem worried about Achia she was worried about the letter she received at the book signing.

MIRIBAN: Sanem dear, what are you thinking?

SANEM: " look at them, like a couple, she's after him big time and he's clueless. Sometimes I feel we're drifting apart, ever since the accident it's like he wants to go back to the old Can that traveled and did crazy things."

LEYLA: "Sanem, maybe him almost dying, I don't know, made him want to relive some things. I think he will be fine once he gets it out of his system."

SANEM: "I guess you're right."

MIRIBAN: "That's what I think to Sanem, I think he just had a life changing experience, he just needs to get it out of his system. But you my dear, you look tired, you have been working too hard. And not eating enough."

LEYLA: she's always like that Miriban, when she has a lot going on, she doesn't eat or hardly sleeps."

SANEM: "I have been busy, I started my second book."

MIRIBAN: "that's wonderful Sanem, what's this one about?"

SANEM : "it's a romance novel, mine and Can's story."

Leyla hugged her sister and so did Miriban.

When Achia got up to leave she hugged Can and kissed him on the cheek.

SANEM: " did you see how she lingered on his cheek, that bitch."

MIRIBAN: " Sanem, damn men, Can probably didn't even notice."

No he didn't, that's for sure.

Can came out looking for Sanem, "bebek, I'm going out to dinner with Achia's climbing group, I won't be home late, don't worry.

SANEM: go, have fun, I'm meeting Kaan anyway about my second book."

CAN: "by your self "

SANEM: " Yes Can, I don't need a babysitter. You go with your new friend Achia and her group, have fun."

CAN: " take leyla with you or Miriban."

SANEM: "Can! It's just at the cafe to go over ideas with my book." She got up and kissed him and walked out.

CAN: is she okay,?"

They both answered "yes, she's fine "

MIRIBAN: "men, this reminds me so much of Aziz. He was like Can a wild card, but I knew he was always true to me. And I know Can is to Sanem, he would never cheat on Sanem."

LEYLA: "I agree, he loves her, you can see it."

Miriban is definitely worried about Sanem, she's starting to notice the same signs she had in the hospital. She never really delt with what happened. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on her.
