Chapter 3

Sanem got home, and went straight to her room. She was shaking, tears were rolling down her cheeks, she couldn't believe what happened to her. She was almost raped tonight. She was so upset. But then, she started thinking of Can. He grabbed that guy ,  picked him up off of her and threw him on the car, like he weighed nothing. I've never seen such strength.

Oh, and so handsome, way out of my league. I've never seen a man so handsome before. And huge, the muscles on him were unbelievable. He's definitely tall dark and handsome. " girl, are you in love or something." " stop it, can't a girl think a guy is handsome, besides I won't see him again anyway." " you never know, maybe you will" one can only dream, the story of my life." " dreams do come true sometimes" I wish.

Can got home that night, laying in bed he couldn't get Sanem out of his mind. She's definitely different. She touched his heart, this is a very different feeling for him. He's never felt anything like this towards any woman before. He felt the need to protect her. He wanted to see her again, but how, he knows nothing about her. Move on Can, you will probably never see her again anyway, it won't be long before you leave on another assignment.  It's probably for the best anyway, this isn't your style to settle for a woman. You're a free spirit and adventurer a traveler.

The next couple of weeks went by pretty fast, Sanem was looking for a little studio apartment but everything was so expensive. She only had enough money for maybe three months rent. She really needed to find another job. And as much as she tried to get Can out of her mind, she couldn't. Every where she went she would look around to see if she would see him. But nothing.

Can was busy with organizing his photos for the fundraiser. He would work at the Agency when he was back, his father wanted him there permanently, he wanted to retire, maybe work part time. But as much as Can enjoyed the agency, he loved his traveling more.

AZIZ: "Can, you're so good at the creative side of this agency, why don't you come and work for me permanently."

CAN: "baba, I love you, but you know I can't settle in one place, it's not me."

AZIZ: "don't you think it's time to settle down, what about Polen, she's a beautiful girl, good job. You've been together so long. It's time for you to settle down."

Miriban is just looking at Aziz, she hates Polen. She's such a snob. And a very jealous person.

CAN: "baba, please, that's not me.  Now let me finish my work, I don't want to argue." Can went back into the office to finish up his work.

MIRIBAN: "Aziz, what's a matter with you, pushing Polen on Can, she's not for him! She's not a nice person. She's very stuck up, very high up on her self, and I don't think she belongs with Can, he's too good for her."

AZIZ: "Miriban, they been together for so long. She's in love with him. He probably loves her too."

MIRIBAN: "don't you think if he loved her he would have married her. Leave him, he will find the one love of his life. And then he will settle down."

AZIZ: "I guess you're right, I just want to see my boys happy." Miriban hugged Aziz, she loved both Can and Emre, she too wanted to see them happy. All in due time. Things happen when they're supposed to happen.

It was the night of the fundraiser, everything was ready for Can's pictures to be auctioned off. The family was at the gallery early, to greet the guests as they come in.

Can was talking to a guest when he hears Polens voice. What the hell is she doing here.

POLEN: "Can my love (she goes over and kisses him on the lips) I'm so excited for tonight. The pictures are beautiful."

CAN: "Polen, what are you doing here, who told you about tonight?"

POLEN: "Can are you disappointed that I'm here"

CAN: "no it's fine, I'm just curious, who told you?"

POLEN: "Aylin, she told me. I'm going to get a drink I'll be back."

CAN: "Emre, why did Aylin have to tell Polen about tonight.  She didn't need to be here"

EMRE: "I didn't even tell Aylin, she must of heard it at the office, and look I'm stuck with her here tonight too."

Miriban was standing by the door watching Polen and Aylin she hates both of them, they reminded her of  Aziz's X wife Huma. She decided to go outside and get some air.  She notices a young girl looking in the window at the pictures, Miriban can see that she loves the ones she sees, she has such a sweet smile on her face.

MIRIBAN: "hello, my name is Miriban, I see your enjoying the pictures"

SANEM: "hello, I'm Sanem, yes I am very much, I've seen many of his pictures in the magazines, I love them, everyone has its own story"

MIRIBAN: "is there one that you see that caught your eye?"

SANEM: "yes, the one with the family of four, sitting on the ground eating there food, which doesn't look like much, you see the children and parents looking at each other smiling, they look happy, even though they don't have much. It's seems they're just happy for the little things they have, Mostly each other. It reminds me of my family." Miriban was looking at her, noticing the unshed tears in her eyes, she knew this girl is special and she's been through something tragic in her life.

MIRIBAN: "wow, Sanem you're very good at reading these pictures."

SANEM: "Miriban, this photographer, I've been following his work for a while. He captures true life, he captures the feelings that are expressed on their faces. He's very good, only someone with a good heart can capture something like that." Miriban was impressed, this girl is definitely special.

MIRIBAN: "my dear come in so you can see all of them."  Sanem looked at her, and then her clothes and knew she couldn't go in, and Miriban noticed how she looked at herself. She knew this girl came from a poorer background. But she was such a beautiful girl. She had the warmest smile and she was so sweet.

SANEM: "I wish I could, but I'm not dressed properly, everyone has gowns on and tuxedos, I would feel out of place." Miriban felt sorry for her. She got the feeling that Sanem was struggling with money."

Miriban tried to get as much information out of her as she could. Sanem told her that she had one more year of college, and that she's living in the girls home until she finds a job to get a little apartment.  But she was having a very hard time finding a job.  She told her what happened with her last job and Miriban couldn't believe how she was treated.

MIRIBAN: "how would you like to work for me, you can help me around the house. You can live in the pool house, it's a nice little apartment with a kitchen, family room and two bedrooms. And I would pay you. , you can help me cook, and some cleaning and of course take care of the pool.  I work part time well it seems more like full time, And I can use the help. Mostly the cooking, I'm not that great at it, can you cook?"

SANEM: "I love to cook, I do a-lot of the cooking at the home, but, I don't know, (pause) I don't want to be in the way."

MIRIBAN: "nonsenses, you're hired.!"Sanem was so happy she hugged Miriban, she couldn't believe her luck. Miriban gave her the address and phone number and told her she will see her next Monday.

Miriban went back inside and Sanem just kept looking at the pictures, she was so happy, and she really liked Miriban, she felt very comfortable with her.

Sanem looked back into the gallery one more time before she left and she sees these beautiful brown eyes looking at her, she couldn't believe it, it was Can. Can couldn't believe that he was looking into those beautiful big brown eyes again. They just stared at each other. And they both smiled, And then she sees this beautiful goddess of a woman walk over to Can and hugs him and kisses him on the cheek very close to his lips. Sanem was so happy to see him, and then the model had to hug and kiss him. Sanem was so heartbroken, that she just walked away and went back home.   Can was so upset with Polen, what the hell did she have to do that for, he pulled away from Polen, and looked out the window and she was gone.

POLEN: "come on Can, the night was a success, you raised a lot of money for your charity. Let's go to the hotel. It's been awhile." He turns to look at her and says. " sorry Polen not tonight I have some work to finish up, I'll see tomorrow."

POLEN: "Can I'm leaving in the morning I have to get back to work" Come on, let's go and she starts rubbing his chest.

CAN: "sorry Polen, not tonight. I have things to do."  Polen got mad and left.

EMRE: "I saw Polen was mad, Aylin was mad with me too. I can't take her anymore, she's so damn pushy.!!"

CAN: let's go home brother and figure out how we're going to get rid off those two.

Sanem, was lying in bed with tears in her eyes. " why am I so emotional, I hardly know this Can, for all I know he could be a criminal a bad person. Sanem stop thinking of him! But she couldn't, she knew deep down inside that he was a good person. Uhg Sanem, He's definitely out of your league, he's probably rich, he looked so handsome in his tuxedo, and her did you see her, beautiful, sophisticated, probably also rich. There probably a couple, the way she hugged and kissed him. Sanem had a hard time sleeping that night. But she tried to focus on her new job and home with Miriban.

Things will work out, think positive thoughts Sanem.

Can was up all night, he couldn't believe Sanem was there tonight and looking right at him. Her beautiful big brown eyes are so expressive, and that sweet smile she had on her lips. And then freakin Polen had to come up and hug and kiss me, and then when I looked back she was gone. What the hell Polen. I need to break it off with her. This has gone on too long.

Hopefully I will see her again, I have to find her.

But how and where. Plus I have another photo shoot coming up, I'll be away for almost two weeks, uhg, it's a short one, but I have to go. Okay Divit, think positive, you'll find her somewhere, somehow.
