Chapter 17

Sanem woke up in Can's arms, they didn't want to let go of each other.

CAN: " Bebek, are you okay." And he gives her a kiss on her forehead.

SANEM: "I'm okay, I just want to hold you and not let go. I'm going to miss you when you leave."

CAN: " me too bebek. Come with me, I know it's work, but we can be together after work, we can explore the sites, you will love it there. and we can hold each other all night, and we can do whatever else you want." He smiles and winks at her and kisses her cheek.  Sanem turns red. And scratches his beard.

SANEM: " I would love to, but I start my classes, and I'm trying to finish my book. My professor read it and he loved it."

CAN: "that's great my love, I'm so proud of you. Are your classes on line?"

SANEM: " two of them are, and one in class, my creative writing. Plus I need an internship, for my creative writing, so I have to look for that too.  I would like to do it this semester, and hopefully second semester have a job in my field." Can had a huge smile on his face. " Can, what are you thinking, what is that smile about."

CAN: " You can do your internship at the agency, we can always use another creative mind." Sanem looked at him, she got so excited,  she jumped on top of him, and started kissing him all over, his face his neck and she was rubbing herself against him without realizing it. Can was loving it. And he was squeezing her rubbing her back and butt. But he was hard, and he had to stop her before he looses control. " Sanem my love, you have to get off, don't get me wrong you feel great, but I won't be able to control myself soon. She shyly got off and looked down, and smiled. "'I did that to you?"

" bebek, all I have to do, is look at you and touch you and I get like that." She smiled and kissed him again.

SANEM: " I'm just so excited Can, that internship would be perfect, do you think Aziz will approve.?"

CAN: "I'm sure he will, and you will have a job, I know that you will be great, you're creative, smart and beautiful, plus we can work together."

SANEM: " I think that will be my favorite part of the job." He smiled and kissed her nose.

CAN: "I think we need to get up, I need a very cold shower,"he smiles at her. " And have breakfast."

SANEM: " okay, I'll go take a shower too, and make breakfast for everyone." She went to kiss him again and he says. "If you want I can help you with the shower, and you can help me."

She smiles and kisses him and gets up and runs to the pool house, she looks back and smiles and he says " is that a yes?" But she closes the door. " I guess that's a no Divit, get up and go take care of yourself again!" And that's what he did.

They got to her and aunt and uncle's house for dinner.

SANEM: " Auntie, we're is uncle Nihat,?

MEVCABI:" he went to the shop to check out an order that came in and to put it away, he should be back soon."

The woman were helping Mevcabi in the kitchen. And the men were hanging out in the back yard.

CAN: " baba, Sanem needs an internship, and I was thinking maybe she can do it at the agency."

AZIZ: " that's a great idea, I think she will do well, she is smart and creative. And if she wants we can give her a permanent job, what do you think son?"

CAN: "I was thinking the same. I think she will do very well. Sanem came out with some appetizers, when all of a sudden they hear Muzo yelling, fire, fire the bakal is on fire. Everyone ran out to see what was going on.

Mevcabi started yelling that Nihat was inside

Sanem tried to run inside but Can held her back.

CAN : Sanem, stop, you make sure that the fire department is on its way. Please. And Leyla take care of your aunt. Everyone was screaming, trying to help in anyway they could, Mevcabi and the girls were crying. Can and Emre looked at each other and decide to run in and try to get Nihat out. Can kicked in the front door and ran in with Emre, Aziz was yelling for his boys and Miriban was trying to hold him back .

When they got inside they couldn't find Nihat, Can yelled to Emre, maybe he's in the back. Pieces of the ceiling were falling, the boys knew they had to move fast, they didn't have much time. They break through the stock room door, and found Nihat on the floor, passed out, they pulled him up, Can was on one side of him and put Nihats arm around his shoulder and Emre on the other and put Nihats arm around his shoulder. They had to drag him out , as fast as they could.

There was so much smoke, they were having a hard time breathing, and their eyes were burning.

CAN: " Emre straight ahead, fast," they made it out, just in time, the ceiling completely collapsed, the EMT's grappled Nihat and put him on the stretcher with oxygen. the fire department got there and started to put out the fire,. Can and Emre fell to their knees, coughing, and tears were coming out of their eyes from the smoke. But they were ok. Sanem and Leyla ran to make sure their uncle was okay and then ran to Can and Emre.

SANEM: Can, Can, are you okay, she was hugging and kissing his him. He put his arm around her waist and brings her close, and with a raspy voice says. " I'm ok make sure your uncle is okay. " they're taking him to the hospital. The EMT said that he will be ok, Can, look at me, are you okay, you don't look good."

Emre was better than Can. Coughing but better.

AZIZ: (was crying) boys you both need to get checked out. There's another ambulance, and they're taking both of you to the hospital."

Can turned and looked at Emre and they smiled at each other and Can says " brother you look like hell!"

Emre laughs and says " you don't look that great either brother!" The brothers got up walked over to each other and hugged each other. Aziz with tears in his eyes went and hugged his boys, he was so proud of them but worried. Sanem hugging Can, crying, she wouldn't let go.

Leyla, had her arms around Emre, making sure he was ok.

LEYLA: " come Emre, you and Can need to get to the hospital. You both are coughing and your eyes are irritated" she helped him up and walked him over to the ambulance. Emre looked at Leyla and noticed the tears. " Leyla, it's fine. We will be ok" and he wipes her tears away.

CAN:" Sanem, my love I'm fine, don't worry." Hugging her.

SANEM: "Can, I was so scared, for all of you, Can I love so much"

CAN: " I love you my sweet Sanem, come let's go to the hospital and see how your uncle is and Emre and I can get checked out" she smiled sweetly and looked in his eyes, he caressed her cheek and brings her close in a tight hug, and says " Sanem Aydin, you are my one and only my Destiny. he grabs her and gives her a passionate kiss.

They got to the hospital, Nihat was already in with the doctors getting checked out, Can and Emre were taken in together, to get checked out.

Everyone else was in the waiting room, waiting for information from the doctors. Mevcabi was crying .

MEVCABI: " Aziz, I don't know how to thank Can and Emre, I will be forever grateful to those wonderful boys of yours." Aziz, went over to her and held her hand and said.

AZIZ: " we're just all grateful that Nihat will be okay. And the boys are okay too. That's the only thing that matters, and besides we're practically family, hopefully soon." She smiled with tears in her eyes and says. "I agree, hopefully soon."

The doctors came out and told them all three will be okay, they're going to keep Nihat over night, but the boys were good to go home.

Mevcabi went in to see Nihat and the boys came out, and went straight to Sanem and Leyla and hugged them. Aziz and Miriban were so happy to see the boys with Sanem and Leyla, they knew that these two couples are meant to be.

While waiting for Nihat to be moved to a room. The fire marshal came to talk to them. He told them that the fire was intentional, arson. Everyone just looked at him.

CAN: "Arson, are you sure, why would anyone try to hurt these people, there good people."

SANEM: " my aunt and uncle are well loved in the neighborhood, we've never had problems with anyone there."

LEYLA: " yes, exactly, everyone looks out for each other, it's only the outsiders that were more cautious with."

Mevcabi heard the conversation on the way out of Nihats room.

MEVCABI: " Arson, but why, why would someone want to hurt us like that, they almost killed my husband, and put other people in danger like Can and Emre."

The girls went over and hugged their aunt, she was crying uncontrollably.

CAN: "auntie, don't worry we will find out who did this, the fire Marshall is investigating with the police."

Emre is talking to our friend Metin, he's an attorney, he has a very good detective that he uses, and we're going to hire him to find out who did this."

MEVCABI: " I can't afford this Can, I don't know how I can pay for a detective."

CAN: " auntie, don't worry, Emre and I will take care of it. Don't worry. We're family. " Mevcabi didn't know what to say, she was all choked up. Her voice wasn't coming out. She thanked them and hugged them. And went back to see Nihat.

After they left the hospital, Can, Emre, Sanem and Leyla, went back to the neighborhood to look at the store.

CAN: " Sanem, do you know if your uncle had insurance on the store?

SANEM: "I don't know, I'm thinking yes, because he's very good with stuff like that and very honest."

CAN: " okay, if he has insurance, they will cover the cost to rebuild."

EMRE: " let's get going home, and we will talk to Nihat tomorrow to figure out everything about the insurance"

The couples were  headed home, but Can and Emre noticed how upset the girls were and decided to take them to the pier for some ice cream.

SANEM: "I can't understand who would try to hurt them like that. Do you think that they wanted to hurt my uncle too?"

LEYLA: " Sanem, I don't think so uncle Nihat is the kindest person I know"

They sat there for a while longer and decided to go back home.  Leyla went to pack and Emre had some work to catch up on. Sanem and Can were sitting outside together.

SANEM: " Can, I was so scared when you and Emre went in, if something would have happened to you I" he puts his fingers over her mouth and says.

CAN: " nothing happened Sanem, we're all fine. Trust me, I'm not going anywhere, I love you too much, we have our whole lives ahead of us, I love you Sanem, I want to be with you till the end of my days, and have beautiful babies with you." He hugs her tightly and starts kissing her. Sanem is crying.

SANEM: " you want to have babies with me? That's what I want Can, believe it or not I've dreamt about our children together" he looked at her with the sweetest smile.

CAN: " I guess we share the same dreams Sanem, I also have dreams of our children together, like I said, this, us , you and me, we are destined to be together it's fate my love." They hugged each other both had tears in their eyes, and fell asleep in each other's arms.
