Chapter 13

Sanem grabbed Leyla's hand and says , "come on, we're going dress shopping "

LEYLA: " wait, what, Sanem slow down. Why are we going dress shopping?"

SANEM: " because I'm going out tonight for drinks with Can, and that cougar Ceyda will be there, so I have to get something very hot and sexy to wear!!"

LEYLA: " Sanem, relax, tell me what's going on."

SANEM: "did you see that red headed mop walk out of Can's office. Well she's after Can, and she's challenged me. There is no way in hell that she is going to get Can in her bed, and let me tell you, that is her main goal. Plus she definitely wants Can for herself, and that's not happening."  Leyla is just smiling looking at Sanem. " why are you looking at me like that"

LEYLA: " because you sound like a jealous girlfriend"

Sanem just sat there thinking, and she had a smile from ear to ear.

SANEM: " I do don't I. But I don't care, I don't want him to be alone with her."

LEYLA: " You really do have feelings for him don't you?"

SANEM: " I do Leyla, I can't help it, but I think he does too, he's the one who called me in the office and introduced me as his girlfriend. And we even had our arms around each other, and I kissed him!" And then she went on and told her everything else that happened.

LEYLA: " I can't believe you kissed him! and you initiated it, wow! where is that shy little Sanem I used to know! you must really like him.  Sanem, but I have to tell you, I think Can really cares about you, I was watching him today, and his eyes were always on you. I saw what was going on when the three of you were in his office.  He definitely, wants you."

Sanem was so happy, and so excited. And then she thought of Polen.

SANEM: " but let's not forget the girlfriend what happens if he has feelings for her."

LEYLA: " no I doubt it! I'm telling you, she means nothing to him, it's you he wants."

SANEM: "I hope so. But sometimes, or a lot of times,  I do feel deep down inside that he has feelings for me too Leyla. He is so handsome, kind, and sweet, I can't stop thinking about him." Anyway I didn't ask you how it went with EMRE."

LEYLA: " very good, I got the job, it turns out that we actually knew each other,  we went to college together and we recognized each other today when I came for the interview, and he hired me right on the spot."Sanem hugged Leyla, she was so happy.

SANEM: "Leyla, I'm so happy for you, we're going to be together. We can even live together."

LEYLA: "'I'm happy to Sanem, I'm back home where I belong."

SANEM: "'so, what did you think of Emre, he's very handsome isn't he."

Leyla couldn't stop smiling.

LEYLA: " well actually I always did have a crush on him, but he finished a year before me. And he was dating that cocky girl Aylin, actually it looks like she works at the agency. And she didn't look too happy to see me, or talking to Emre."

SANEM:" which one was it, that tall skinny girl with the jet black hair?"

LEYLA: " that's her, she always followed Emre around campus, and Emre and I were pretty good friends. But she didn't like it, we rarely got to talk alone. But when we were alone we got along very well, but then he graduated and I never saw him again until now, but I'm sure she made sure that he never contacted me or any other girl."

SANEM: " well, she has nothing on you, you're more beautiful in every way. I saw her, does she even smile, or will her face crack through all that Botox.!"

They both start laughing.  "Leyla, I saw the smile on Emre's face, he looked very happy talking to you. I think you should give it a shot, I think he is interested."

LEYLA: "I don't think Aylin, will allow it, she can be mean, plus there probably still together"

SANEM: "'what did you tell me? He's probably not serious about her, look at the way he looked at you."

LEYLA: "Maybe you're right. Let's see what happens."

They hugged each other and went dress shopping.

Sanem was trying on all these different dresses, she found one, that's going to knock Can off his feet.

SANEM: " I think this dress is perfect Leyla, what do you think?"

LEYLA: "Sanem, that is one hot dress! Can won't be able to take his eyes off you. It's very sexy, and those high heeled sandals make it look even sexier, and the slit is the icing on the cake!!"

SANEM: " I hope so Leyla, I hope he likes it."

LEYLA: " are you kidding, did you see how it accentuates your curves, you're definitely not flat as a cardboard like Aylin."

SANEM: " You know from what I saw of Polen, she was the same way very thin, do they even eat?"

LEYLA: " probably not, I'm getting hungry let's go get lunch."

The girls went and sat at a little cafe by the water,

LEYLA: " it feels so good to be home, I love sitting by the water like this. It brings back a lot of memories, with our friends. Osman, Ahan, and Muzo. He had such a crush on you Sanem. Do you see them a lot?"

SANEM: " I try every time I go back to the neighborhood. I see everybody. I try to get back at least twice a month but Ahan and I talk almost every day."

And of course our aunt and uncle, we will go Sunday and surprise them."

LEYLA: " I can't wait to see them.  Wait till they find out that I'm moving back."

SANEM: " They will be so happy. All together again."

Sanem looked to her Side, and saw Ceyda, staring at her. " don't look now, but Ceyda is here and she's looking right at me."

LEYLA: " what are the chances, are you sure she's staring at you?"

SANEM: " oh I'm sure, she's trying to intimidate me, but you know me, things like that never work with me."

Leyla starts laughing and says.  "'Oh I know, not to many people could intimidate or scare you."

SANEM: " shoot, she's coming over here, what does she want."

CEYDA: " Sanem, what a Coincidence, did you leave Can by himself."

SANEM: " no actually, Ceyda, he's with his father and brother, but we're rarely without each other, we always sense each other,  we know what the other one is thinking before we even talk, we're very in tuned to each other's feelings and thoughts that's the way lovers are"

Ceyda was getting angry with Sanem. But she tried to ignore her comments.

CEYDA: " good for you. well I'm off to get ready for my date with Can. I have plans for us tonight."

SANEM: " do you now, I'm sure you realize Can is taken. He's not looking for someone much older than him. He has someone much younger, me. "Leyla is holding back her laugh.

CEYDA: " age has nothing to do with it. Trust me,"

SANEM: " no need to trust you Ceyda, you're not the trust worthy type." Ceyda was getting angry, she's very determined to have Can.

CEYDA: " You will see Sanem dear, I always get what I want. Can and I have so much in common. He's a free spirit, like me.  Pretty soon we will be traveling together and going to places you can't even imagine. Plus he will be in my bed every night." Leyla can't believe this woman, she must be very desperate. Sanem just started laughing.

SANEM: "Ceyda, I'm a dreamer, but you are really dreaming of something that will never happen. Hey by the way, good luck tonight." And Sanem gives her a thumbs up.

Leyla and Sanem couldn't stop laughing, while Ceyda walked away.

SANEM: " she's something isn't she, wait till she sees me walk in there tonight, she going to freak.!"

LEYLA: " boy I wish I was a fly on the wall, I would love to see that smirk wiped off her wrinkled face." They both start laughing. " Well I guess you should be getting back home to get ready. Can will probably be home soon."

SANEM: " I told Can, to go ahead of me, that I will meet him there. I want Ceyda to see the look in Can's eyes when he sees me. Actually I can't wait to see his reaction when he sees me." Leyla, laughed and said, I'm sure he will think you look beautiful.

LEYLA: "okay, let's get back and get you ready, I know exactly how I'm going to do your hair and make up!"

The girls got back to the house and Can  was already there.

CAN: " Sanem are you sure you don't want to go together.?"

SANEM: "that's ok Can, I have to finish something for my online class, it won't take long. I'll be there as soon as I can.  But I don't want to hold you back from your date, ( and she laughs) so you go ahead and I will meet you there."

Can is starting at her, she seems very calm to him, is she up to something? I know she was angry at the office with Ceyda, but this is very unusual. Is this the calm before the storm. Even Miriban and Aziz were thinking the same thing.

AZIZ: " Miriban, what do you think, Sanem is very calm.

MIRIBAN: " she is isn't she , I'm trying to figure out what's going on in that pretty little head of hers, but what ever it is I have a feeling she will come out on top."

Leyla whispered in Miriban's ear, " I will tell you everything after Sanem Leaves.
